Note: <888> 03/31/08 Monday 11:55 P.M.. Earlier I ate 10 www.triscuits.com with ten 1.75 inch by 1/8th inch by .5 inch slices of www.cabotcheese.com Vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese on them. I guess I will now do a bit of bottom fishing on the internet. About 4 A.M. this morning, I will have to pay my April 2008 bills. Well, the good news is the $300 tax rebates are suppose to start coming out around the first week of May 2008. CIO
Note: <888> 03/31/08 Monday 11:45 P.M.. I woke up at 5:30 P.M., when I had a no person telephone call. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I threw out some garbage, and I picked up my mail. I chatted with a relative twice. I also chatted with another relative trying to sell a 1998 Buick Roadmaster Wagon with a 100,000 miles for about $7,500 in the Washington D.C. area. I suggested www.craigslist.org . I read the most recent issues of AARP, U.S. News and World report, and Forbes. There always seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, when one reads, but not much new happening.
April Fools Day is the 58th birthday for a long time friend from Bermuda http://mikelouisscott.com/photo/mike-scott-with-distant-relative-whom-knows-about-horses-with-relative-whom-knows-about-railroads-putnam-hotel-in-saratoga-ny-about-summer-1990.jpg .
I have a spare copy of XP Professional that I could install on a second partition on the primary Vista computer, but I do not think it is really necessary. Well not much happening, but all of my systems seem to be running fine and up to par as much that I can do. CIO
Note: <888> 03/31/08 Monday 10:25 A.M.. I went ahead, and I restored the Bytecc external hard drive Complete PC backup from March 20, 2008 to the primary Vista computer. I then restored and updated any other changes since March 20, 2008. I then did a Complete PC backup from the first hard drive to the second hard drive. I watched some television while the machine restored the backup and did the backup. I also ate two Quaker granola bars. The problem with the Add City applet with Weather Pulse was not that it did not work, but it had been move off the far right LCD screen, so it was not visible when it was opened thus making the program seem like it was frozen. Now it is time to shut down the primary Vista computer and go to bed. Have a good day. The President and First Lady www.whitehouse.gov are off to Europe for a www.nato.int summit, so I guess Dick Cheney Vice President of the United States - Richard B. Cheney is in charge back here in the States again. I think since he is from Wyoming, he is use to colder weather that the warm weather Texans are not. Of course in this neck of the woods, the only people whom seem to be in charge are the bankers. CIO
Note: <888> 03/31/08 Monday 3:50 A.M.. With the primary Vista computer to enable video on the Sony monitor, I have to first disable GeForce FX5200 video card. Then on the GeForce 6200 AGP video card, one has to update the driver to the most current driver. Then the Nvidia program applet lets one select one Vista computer LCD monitor and the Sony monitor. I watched part of Live TV: Pentagon channel . I still have to adjust the video cable connector on the right mouse pad to make it display in color, since it does not seem to have a tight fitting. The sound on the Sony television is just loud enough, but there is better sound when using the computer speakers. I enabled the onboard audio, and I ran a cable from the motherboard sound out to the television sound lead, but the sound was not any louder on the television. Even though it is a stereo cable, it only seems to play on one television speaker of its two stereo speaker system. I then fiddled with various ways of returning the computer back to its regular setup. When one enables the GeForce FX5200 PCI video card, it does not work right away because the most recent GeForce 6200 AGP driver seems to conflict. I finally installed the most current GeForce 6200 AGP driver from Windows Update, and then I installed the Nvidia GeForce FX5200 video driver from the Nvidia program, and I ended up with the same October 9, 2006 version 9.6.8.5 Nvidia drivers on both Nvidia cards, which seem to be the stable set of Nvidia drivers to use in my primary Vista computer setup http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm . Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe now starts up normally again too, so possibly I improved on the more stable setup. I will now reheat and eat the same meal as last night, which I will eat it with a glass of iced tea. CIO
Note: <888> 03/30/08 Sunday 10:25 P.M.. I filed a Microsoft Beta Client 1.20.2844.30137 Vista SP1 RTM bug report on the Nvidia driver problem that I was able to solve with my two Nvidia cards for the four LCD monitor setup http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm . Technically, it might be simpler to fix, by just installing the Nvidia Video Card Display device driver updates, the October 9, 2006 Driver version 9.6.8.5 on both Nvidia cards, since they might already be on the Vista SP1 machine, and just not installed. I have not tried it, but one should still be able disable the PCI GeForce 5200 Nvidia card, and use the Nvidia program for the GeForce 6200 AGP video card to play the monitor in clone mode, which in my case is the Sony CRT High Definition television, which I have connected to the Nvidia AGP GeForce 6200 video out jack, so in clone mode, one can watch the same content on the one enabled Vista SP1 computer screen and the Sony monitor in Clone mode to watch the Media Center and the Media Player content, and using the remote control from the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 TV card, it is totally interactive on the Sony television. Also I have a cable from my computer speakers that disables the computer speakers when connected to the 5.1 computer sound system primary speaker, and feeds the audio in the audio input jacks on the rear of the Sony television. It is a nice feature if one wanted to watch internet content from overseas on large screen television. Of course with foreign language broadcasts, one is limited to the languages that one is familiar with. CIO
Note: <888> 03/30/08 Sunday 9:35 P.M.. I woke up at 6 P.M.. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I chatted with one relative, and I chatted with another relative twice. I threw out the garbage. I emptied the two ashtrays on the outside of the building, and I picked up some paper and bags around the parking lot. I checked out the community room. The refrigerator in the community room kitchen is not there anymore, but I noticed the building custodian working on a refrigerator upstairs this week. Three of the last four weekend days, we have had community room parties, where non residents rent the community room. With the current Nvidia video setup, Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe takes a while longer to start up. I am charging up the million watt rechargeable lantern in my bedroom. CIO
Note: <888> 03/30/08 Sunday 9:50 A.M.. On the primary Vista computer, I did a Vista Complete PC backup from the first hard drive to the second hard drive to save the most recent system changes. It does seem I spend a lot of time maintaining the primary Vista computer, but you have to realize I was working with the beta of Vista SP1 since about July 2007, so now that it is RTM release to manufacturing, I am just doing some of the final tweaks on my primary Vista system http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm , which is a somewhat unique and slightly older system, but it is well suited to my purposes, and at this point, and hopefully some day in the future, I might get some regular computer and internet work done versus system maintenance. Tweaking a system with betas and dealing with the occasional hacker or malware, it is all not as simple as the layman might think. The www.greenwichtime.com with its Adobe Flash content just crashed Internet Explorer, so that problem still exists on my primary Vista computer, but I will leave the Flash player installed for now, since the CNN Video content does not crash it. Occasionally, I like to watch a little video on the internet. Still hopefully the blue screen crash problem is gone with the Nvidia video cards drivers reinstallation. I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed soon. CIO
Note: <888> 03/30/08 Sunday 9:00 A.M.. I enabled some of the Internet Explorer Program Add Ons. I also installed the Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave Player again. I also enabled the Java Add Ons, and I reinstalled JAVA. I was still having some problems with the blue screen from my Nvidia video drivers, so I did a Safe Boot. I then uninstalled the GeForce FX5200 driver and its driver files, and then I rebooted into a safe boot again, and I uninstalled the GeForce 6200 driver and its driver files, and then I booted into a safe boot again and the standard VGA driver installed. I then installed the 163.75_forceware_winvista_32bit_english_whgl driver, and then without rebooting, I installed the 96.85_forceware_winvista_x86_international_whql driver. I then rebooted normally, and I configured the four LCD monitors in display setup. They procedure mention before installs 10/9/2006 driver version 9.6.8.5 for both Nvidia cards that are somewhat unique to my four LCD monitor setup on the primary Vista computer http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm . The Adobe Flash player has not crashed Internet Explorer, so possibly I have fixed the blue screen problems I have been having with my Nvidia video cards with four LCD monitors and Vista SP1. I should know for sure in a day or so, but it seems a lot more stable computer. I ate 10 ounce of CVS Deluxe mixed nuts. CIO

Note: <888> 03/29/08 Saturday 11:55 P.M.. I woke up at 4 P.M.. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I chatted with a relative. I chatted with a friend. I used the Seagate hard drive utility, and I did a 1% low level format of the first hard drive on the Epox computer to make sure there were no microviruses on the hard drive. I restored the Vista Complete PC backup for both partitions on the Epox computer from the second hard drive to the first hard drive. I then installed the updates on both partitions. I then did a Vista Complete PC backup of the Epox computer from the first hard drive to the Bytecc external hard drive. I showered, and I cleaned up. I unzipped the hood off my new leather jacket, and I put the hood on the back of the living room sofa. I went out wearing the new leather jacket and new flannel shirt and other warm clothing. I went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. They have bright flashing yellow lights at the northern cross walk in front of the Greenwich train station now. At the top of Greenwich Avenue, I also walked around the Chase and the Bank of New York parking lot on Mason Street and East Putnam Avenue. I sat out for a while. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. It is very warm about 78 degrees Fahrenheit inside of Starbucks. I went by the Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon station next to the Greenwich Library, and I bought $5 of self service premium gasoline at $3.939 a gallon for 1.27 gallons for 14.2 miles driving since that past Monday at odometer reading of 59731, for 11.181 miles per gallon driving this past week mostly in local traffic downtown. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought two six packs of English muffins for $2.99 both six packs, a half gallon of Tropicana premium orange juice with calcium for $2.50, a six pack of White Gem boneless breasts of chicken for $1.79 a pound for $7, a 2 pound bag of baby carrots for $2.99, broccoli crowns at $1.99 a pound for $2.33, a five pound bag of Russet potatoes for $2.99 for $20.80 total. I chatted with a local. I then returned home, and I put away my groceries. I also picked up the mail. I also made up another three 64 ounce containers of Passion Punch. CIO

Note: <888> 03/29/08 Saturday 4:50 A.M.. I uninstalled Norton Ghost 14 from the Northgate Syntax computer, and I deleted its backup from the second hard drive. I then installed on the second empty hard drive Vista Server 2008 RTM, but I did not enter a product key or activate it. I installed its backup program from the Add Ins options. I then connected the Bytecc External hard drive, and I used the Vista Server 2008 to backup both hard drives to the Bytecc external hard drive backing up both hard drives one with Vista Basic and the one with Vista Server 2008. On the Bytecc external hard drive, I deleted the Northgate, Epox, and FIC server XP Professional ASR backups to free up space on the Bytecc external hard drive. Now I can use the Vista Complete PC backup restore option from the Vista DVD to restore the Vista Basic partition on the Northgate Syntax computer. I then restored the Vista Complete PC backup from the second hard drive on the FIC server to the first hard drive, so I have a clean configuration. I installed a few minor updates. I am now backing up to the Bytecc external hard drive the primary C: drive. I will then copy the FIC server server folder to the Bytecc external hard drive. I finished off the box of goldfish crackers. CIO

Note: <888> 03/28/08 Friday 11:20 P.M.. I was out of baby carrots with my vegetables with dinner, but dinner was fine. I finished off the last 1/3rd of a 10 ounce can of CVS deluxe mixed nuts. I started up the two coffee table computers, and I ran "msconfig" to unselect some of the startup programs, so the computers run faster. I watched part of a John Wayne movie in Polynesia. When I left my 3 P.M. appointment on this past Tuesday, I chatted with a red haired fellow about one of my family's many old houses in this area which was on the end of Cornelia drive on the left side of the circle which has since been rebuilt. When we move in there in June 1973, I found in the small derelict bomb shelter in the back yard built into the ravine, a white basalt Polynesian tiki head that had been partially painted with day glow orange paint, so it would glow in the dark. There was a small one room separate building hanging over the ravine too. It was on the opposite side of the ravine from Mrs. Peterson's property, and she donated the new Greenwich Library wing. I mentioned that when the ravine dried out, one can get swamp fever from the dried moldy environment, and the best solution for that is take flush free niacin. I have a suspicion from what I have read since, that since one of the visitors to the property was from a family that had holdings in Hawaii, that possibly the Polynesian tiki that I last saw on the railing on the out building over looking the ravine might have fallen off the railing, and it might be covered with several decades of fallen leaves. Frequently there was a curse on the Polynesian tikis when ever they left they native islands, and the curse could not be eliminated until it was returned to its native island, where ever that might be. It might explain a lot of the bad luck for people whom have lived at that location including the previous tenants to my family, and some of the following tenants. However, since it is private property, I would not want to bother the current tenants. CIO
Note: <888> 03/28/08 Friday 9:30 P.M.. I woke up at noon. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I rubbed soap on the leather jacket zipper on its full length and also on the hood zipper, so it works better. It is a heavy leather jacket, and it fits just fine. I hung it up in the right living room closet. I hung the heavy flannel shirt in the bedroom closet. I went back to bed until 7 P.M.. I chatted with a relative. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I watered the plants, and I threw out the garbage and old periodical literature. I moved the Audi to its regular parking place. When the package arrived earlier, I also picked up the mail. The $5 donation to the Greenwich Land Trust The Greenwich Land Trust came off of my account. I downloaded a 30 day demo of Symantec Norton Ghost 14, and I used it to make a backup of the primary C: drive to the second hard drive D: drive. However, the demo does not come with a way to make a bootable recovery disk, so at this point, I am not sure I would be able to use the backup if need to restore the computer. I obviously am not going to pay $50 for it, but I will try to see if there is a way to get a recovery disk somewhere off the internet should I need it. I read that the Vista Complete PC backup is basically Norton Ghost, but it the Vista Recovery disk will not restore the Norton Ghost 14 backup.

Note: <888> 03/25/08 Tuesday 11:50 P.M.. I woke up at noon today. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I showered, and I cleaned up. I went out to my 3 P.M. appointment early. I checked the Greenwich Beach Card office, and they can give me my beach pass and automobile sticker which I get for free in three weeks. I walked around the building. I went to my 3 P.M. appointment. I chatted with someone that had injured their leg on black ice this winter. I went to my 3 P.M. appointment. I chatted with somebody that I had not seen in a while about the price of tea in China. I went down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road, and I chatted with the most regular fisherman in this area, and I gave him another calling card. He has some sort of advanced small device that picks up the internet like an IPOD or something, but it has a small keypad, and it would be hard for me to read. It probably costs a bit of money to replace the rechargeable batteries too. A family I have seen before returned from Michigan. I was told by the fisherman, they now have WiFi all the way up and down Steamboat Road, and you can pick it up from the Indian Harbor Yacht Club Indian Harbor Yacht Club. There were a couple of dozen cold water sailors out on the waterfront racing in the harbor, and they were using a Zodiac to patrol the waterfront. I also chatted with another regular about Navy affairs. I was also told MF Global controls a lot of futures trading with computerized trading with advanced algorithms. I went back downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. The second most regular fisherman is still down in Florida, so he went down there for a change this year. Apparently the most regular fisherman can only afford about $20 a week in gasoline, and he has had to siphon gasoline out of his boat to make it over here from where ever he lives. I then went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. It was not very busy. I used the bathroom at the Senior and the Arts Center, and I chatted with the receptionist. I then stopped by CVS, and I bought four 10 ounce cans of CVS Gold Emblem premium mixed nuts without peanuts for $2.99 each less a $2 off coupon off $10 CVS product, for $9.98 total. I sat on the bench just north of the new construction project on the south side of Pickwick Plaza, and ate 1/3rd a 10 ounce can of mixed nuts. I walked around the Chase Bank of New York parking lot on Mason Street to make sure nobody throws away any dead chickens too. I returned on the block on East Putnam Avenue. Somebody posted a sign that they lost a tripod at Putnam Avenue and Mason Street. The Y.M.C.A. sounded busy with lots of activity, and for some reason they had their windows opened, which would seem a waste of energy unless there is no heat in the place. I returned back down Greenwich Avenue. I chatted with someone from ClariFI, and we exchanged cards. I then went back by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with some the reference librarians. I then went by the Splash Car wash, and I had the Audi washed for a $5 charge after 6 P.M., and I also vacuumed the inside of the Audi. I then returned home, and I chatted with a relative, and I returned a call to a friend. I relaxed a bit, and I collected my thoughts. I ate another 1/3rd of a 10 ounce can of mixed nuts with iced tea. I will now try to get around to configuring the Northgate Syntax computer with Vista Basic. CIO

Note: <888> 03/25/08 Tuesday 1:15 A.M.. I did some regular computer maintenance. I chatted with a relative earlier this evening. I chatted with Key West again. They are so busy trying to get people to go on vacation, they do not seem to realize there are more important things going on in the country that cause people to have to keep working. Most of them having been around the Navy know what that means. I also chatted with a www.navy.mil officer today whose family have a nice tobacco plantation in Virginia if you happen to know the real America as opposed to the Jewish American viewpoint of the www.nytimes.com . It is the nature of a democracy and freedom of speech that the general public tends to network amongst themselves, and even the younger generation networks with others. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I called up Greenwich Exxon Greenwich Exxon at 1-203-869-7860, and they told me, they now have gasoline, and their delivery had arrived. I showered, and I cleaned up. I went out, and I threw out the garbage. I went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I stopped by the Greenwich Cigar store, and I played a Green Backs scratch card for a dollar, and I won a dollar for next profit of nothing. It seemed to be about the same pace of traffic as usual downtown. I stopped by the Greenwich Hardware store to brief them. I stopped CVS, and I chatted with a neighbor. I walked through the parking lot of the Chase and Bank of New York parking lot on Mason Street, and I checked to make sure the dead chickens are no longer there. They are gone. I noticed it was a bit warmer than usual. I have heard rumours that the Pope

There is no point going out later on today, since there seems to be a bit of a shortage of gasoline in the area. I woke up at 10 A.M. this morning. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey
and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and
grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and
coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the
breakfast dishes. I called up Greenwich Exxon
Greenwich Exxon at 1-203-869-7860, and they told me, they still did not have
gasoline, but they hope to have a delivery tomorrow. I called up the
Saudi Arabian
Ministry Addresses In The U.S. , at 1-202-342-3800, and they did not seem to
know much about energy shortages in this country. I showered, and I
cleaned up. I went outside, and I threw out the garbage, and I chatted
with a neighbor. I chatted with another neighbor that works for the
Audubon Sanctuary in back country Greenwich, Connecticut about wild life in
America. I chatted with a relative. About 3 P.M., my guests called,
and I picked them up in a area near central Greenwich. We then drove
around the shortline in Old Greenwich, and I showed them potential flood areas,
and we then drove around Tod's Point. We got out at the southeast parking
area, and I used the bathroom. We took a few pictures, and I posted a new
picture on my home page. The pictures did not come out well, since without
sun glasses in the bright sun, our eyes were all squinted shut. We walked
along the eastern shoreline along the road to the other concession area and
back. We then drove back to central Greenwich. The Mobil gasoline
station at Indian Field Road seems to have gasoline, or at least people are
parked at their pumps. I showed the guests some residential areas I knew
about with potential rental properties. We also drove up Glenville Road
and back down Weaver Street. I showed the guests my apartment. I
then took them to the Greenwich train station, and they caught the 6:12 P.M.
back into Manhattan. My guests are former residents of Connecticut, and
they live on the Atlantic Ocean elsewhere in the country, when they are not in
Manhattan. They have also seen their fair share of oceans around the
world. I returned back to my apartment.
Note: <888> 03/23/08 Sunday 4:25 A.M.. I microwaved and ate a 21 ounce Maria Callender frozen beef lasagna dinner, which I put grate parmesan and Romano cheese, and I ate it with a glass of 50% cold filtered water and 50% iced tea. I moved my car into its usual place. The parking lot was full, when I returned earlier this past evening. I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed soon. Have a good morning. I should be awake by noon today to get ready to see my visitors. CIO
Note: <888> 03/23/08 Sunday 3:00 A.M.. I woke up yesterday at 11 A.M.. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I backed up the FIC server with Vista Complete PC backup from the first hard drive to three DVD disks. I stored them away in a safe place. I tried configuring the Northgate Syntax Computer with the Vista Basic upgrade, but I did not like the results, so I am now installing it as a clean install.
To install it, I first did quick low level formats with the Seagate hard drive utility of the two 20 gigabyte hard drives.
I first had to install XP Home showing that I owned an earlier version.
Next I had to install XP SP2.
I then was able to install the Vista Basic Upgrade from XP SP2 as a new complete install on the existing partition.
I am now installing Vista SP1 upgrade, which I am doing from the downloaded upgrade RTM file that I have saved from beta testing.
Once it is all installed, I will configure it back to the way it was before with a few simple programs.
I showered and cleaned up, and I went out briefly, and I picked up my mail. I then went out at 4:30 P.M.. I went by Radio Shack www.radioshack.com in Cos Cob, and I bought Manager's Specials of RadioShack.com - Cables, Parts & Connectors: A/V cables: Standard coaxial cables: Monster Standard® 25-Ft. THX® F-Pin Coaxial RF Cable $9.97 and .60 tax for $10.57 total. I then went by the Domino's Pizza, Order Pizza Online for Delivery - Dominos.com , and I ordered the small six inch cheese pizza for $4.49. I ate it outside their shop which is just across the street from Starbucks in Cos Cob. I put the extra napkins in the glove box of the Audi to have for later. Their telephone number for delivery is 1-203-661-2202, and they're at 142 East Putnam Avenue, Cos Cob, Connecticut. They gave me a little magnet sticker with their information, that I put on my refrigerator. I then went back into Radio Shack, and I bought another RadioShack.com - Cables, Parts & Connectors: A/V cables: Standard coaxial cables: Monster Standard® 25-Ft. THX® F-Pin Coaxial RF Cable for $9.97, a 15-1541 Radio Shack Gold Series 3 foot coaxial cable for $9.97 similar to this RadioShack.com - Cables, Parts & Connectors: A/V cables: Standard coaxial cables: 3-Ft. RadioShack Gold Series Coax Cable with F Connector, a RadioShack.com - Cables, Parts & Connectors: Connectors & connectivity: A/V connectors & adapters: 6-Inch Gold-Plated Premium Shielded Mono Y-Cable for $3.99, and a 15-1540 24 foot Dual Audio/Video Cable with male RCA plugs for $9.97 and $2.03 tax for $35.93 total. I then sat out briefly downtown. I then went by the Food Emporium, and I bought a six pack of America's Choice boneless breasts of chicken for $6.85, a five pound bag of Eastern white potatoes for .97, and fresh asparagus at $1.49 a pound $1.59 for $9.41 total. I noticed on the way back home, the Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon station next to the Greenwich Library is still out of gasoline. I tried to go by the Splash car wash - Your Car Deserves A Better Car Wash! after 6 P.M., when their express car wash is $5, but their line was backed up, and the car wash was not working. I then returned home. I put away the groceries. I took off the two 25 foot Philips coaxial cables that I got from CVS for $5.99 each from the Orion television in the bedroom and the JVC television in the bathroom, and I put on the two new 25 foot Monster coaxial cables, so they will have better reception. I put the three foot gold cable running from the two splitter coming off the Digital Cable box to the input on the Daewoo DVD VCR player that has an out put to the Sony television. I took the six foot cable that was there, and I used it to connect from the two splitter by the A/B switch to the LeadTek TV card in the FIC server, so it too has better reception. I removed an inferior 6 foot cable from that location. I did not need to use the 24 foot Audio/Video Cable and the Mono Y-Adapter, since I had already setup up a cable from the rear of the Sony television that I had misplaced its end to that connects to the computer speakers for sound in the Sony television, when I use it as monitor. I strung the end of that cable over the wire CD rack to the right of the computer chair to have available for connecting to the computer speakers. When one connects if to the computer speakers, it mutes the computer speakers. I put the Mono Y-Adapter in the top left desk drawer, and I put the old coaxial cables and the Audio/Video cable on the lowest level of the sweater closet to have available. I chatted with my friends whom are visiting Greenwich later on today, and they will call me when they are ready to be picked up from their other engagement at 4 P.M.. I am saving the chicken to use two breasts for Easter dinner and the rest for the rest of the week. I have to figure out something to eat now. I have plenty of food http://mikelouisscott.com/inventory.htm , but I have been too busy to eat. I currently weight 206.5 pounds, so I am not starving. While installing the programs on the Northgate Syntax computer, I watched a HIgh Definition program on the Sony television about Italian motor cars. The High Definition channels are 701 to about 780. Note: <888> 03/22/08 Saturday 4:25 A.M.. After I finished configuring the FIC servers with Vista Ultimate, I ran some maintenance utilities. I then deleted my old Complete PC backup from the second hard drive which backup contained the XP Professional installation, the Windows Server 2008 beta from October 2007, and the Windows Server 2008 RTM. I still have the XP Professional ASR backup on the second hard drive, if I should need it. The Vista Ultimate C: partition is 36.3 gigabytes. I did not bother putting the many old files back on the server C: drive, which I had stored on it before. I did a Vista Complete PC backup from the first hard drive to the second hard drive. I now have 80.7 gigabytes free on the C: drive, the second partition on the first hard drive E: drive is empty with 31.7 gigabytes. On the second hard drive I have 87.4 gigabytes of free space.

I ate a bowl of peanuts earlier. I will now eat some more. I am a bit tired, so I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed. I do not think at this point it is necessary to install the Vista Server 2008 on the E: drive partition, since I can work with other programs in Vista Ultimate while running the IIS 7 server on Vista Ultimate. Note: <888> 03/21/08 Friday 10:15 P.M.. I did a low level format of the first hard drive on the FIC server. I used the Seagate drive setup utility to do it, since the Western Digital and the Maxtor hard drive utilities would not work on the FIC server. I then took the Hauppauge WinGo TV card out of the FIC server, and I put in the LeadTek expert TV card from the Epox computer, and I put the Hauppauge WinGo TV card in the Epox computer. Earlier, I had to use a screw driver to open up the Vista Basic Upgrade which comes in a well sealed plastic box, but it will only install over XP. I made two copies of the Vista Basic Upgrade disk, and I worked from the copy. I went ahead and installed the Microsoft Promotional copy of Vista Ultimate in the C: drive of the FIC server, and I used 120 gigabytes of the hard drive, and I will use 30 gigabytes of the hard drive for the Vista Server 2008. I am now configuring it. I ate a bowl of goldfish crackers. CIO

I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, two toasted English muffins with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I was bothered by a neighbor looking for cigarettes, which I did not help out on. I went back to bed until 11 A.M.. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I watered the plants, and I threw out the garbage and the old periodical literature. There is no mail delivery today on Good Friday. I replaced the Lithium #2032 CMOS battery on the primary Vista computer with a new Everyready spare one that I had. I got the refund from Microsoft for the Money Essentials program that would not work with my Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe data file. I will now make two copies of the Vista Basic Upgrade DVD, and I will install it on the second hard drive on the Northgate Syntax backup computer. CIO

Note: <888> 03/20/08 Thursday 9:10 P.M.. I microwaved and ate a 18 ounce can of Progresso New England clam chowder. I put some dried parsley on it. I ate it with a glass of iced tea. I noticed today, when I returned home, the former Putnam Green Apartment complex across the street on West Junior High road just off West Putnam Avenue has a "For Lease" Sign in front of their office, and their number is 1-203-813-3380. The former owner Antares defaulted on their loan to Lehman Brothers, so the new owners according to a tenant I know at Lyon Farm are doing a much better job of maintaining the large apartment complex. I will now go through my email. CIO
Note: <888> 03/20/08 Thursday 7:55 P.M.. I went out after the last note. I went by the Chase Bank on Mason Street. I tried to use their bathroom downstairs at the vault area, but it was busy, so I used the bathroom at the Bank of New York on the second floor. One of their customers called the Greenwich Time reporter and photographer, because some persons unknown had dumped about six large dead chickens with their heads cut off at the west side of their parking lot along the tree line. I am not sure the reason anyone would have done it, but the good news is Purdue boneless breasts of chicken will be $1.99 a pound at the Food Emporium starting tomorrow. The person who found the dead chickens is against killing animals, so possibly somebody is practicing Caribbean voodoo magic around the banks or possibly they are left over from cock fighting in the area. I know the Warburg family in back country use to raise chickens to sell their eggs. The police were not called, because it would cause too much of a disturbance around a bank. The new owners of the Greenwich Time www.greenwichtime.com are also making it a smaller format paper to save money I guess. I next went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, and they have some nice items there, but nothing that I can use. I then went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. The bus sign fell over again at the train station on the north side in the high wind. I used the bathroom at the Senior and the Arts center twice. They will be closed on Good Friday and Easter. I stopped by CVS, and I bought two 1 liter bottles of CVS Anticavity Fluoride Rinse for $2.50 each, two 16 ounce Plumrose canned hams for $2.50 each, two 50 ounce FAB Ultra 2X spring scent detergent for $1.99 each, a 100 yard package of CVS dental floss fluoride mint for $2.29, CVS Calcium Antacid tablets assorted berries flavor 96 chewable tablets for $3.99, and a TUMS EX 750 Extra Strength 96 Chewable tablets for $5.49, and I used two $2 off CVS coupons and .44 tax for $22.19 total. I also chatted with an associate downtown. I also called a friend on my cell phone. After my walk, I went by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with the reference librarians. I then returned home. I noticed on the way home, that the Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon gasoline station next to the Greenwich Library is out of gasoline at all of their pumps. I put away my purchases. For some reason, my computer time has been off recently. There is no indication the CMOS battery on the motherboard is worn out. Possibly it is some sort of new hacker problem, I am experiencing. CIO
Note: <888> 03/20/08 Thursday 2:00 P.M.. I went out, and I chatted with some neighbors, and I walked around the building. In the back yard by the southwest park area, there are two large rocks which look like they might be left over from the Druids times in America, when the Vikings explored this area. From what I can tell about the weather, I would not plants one's tomato plants around here until the second week of May, since we can still get colder weather this time of year. I made and ate a sautéed hamburger with onions and cheese, which I ate with steamed rice and cup of baby carrots and broccoli crowns and a glass of iced tea. I chatted with a Microsoft representative from Syracuse, New York. I refilled the Glade Plug-in refill in the kitchen with a 45% English Leather Cologne and 55% seventy percent Isopropyl alcohol mixture. I made up another batch of Passion Punch. I threw out the garbage, and I chatted with neighbors, and I picked up my mail. I will now shower and clean up, so I will feel a little bit better. When I activated it, there was no mention of it expiring in a year, so maybe it is a full usage copy. I did a Vista Server RTM Complete PC backup of the three partitions on the first hard drive to the second hard drive. Before doing that I also installed the updates on the XP Professional partition. When I was prompted to enter the password on the Vista Server 2008 RTM, it was necessary to enter a combination of Cap letters, lower Cap letters, and numbers, and the password was able to be changed at startup. Vista Server 2008 RTM seems to work just fine, however I am only using a minimum of its features, and it can do a lot more, if one had the need.

I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed soon. It has not crashed with the blue screen, but the power saving feature is now not activating. It seems to be running a lot smoother with the earlier Nvidia driver. Have a good night, and don't take any wooden nickels. I have a feeling a lot of people are away with the holidays, and we also usually have a few summer residents whom come out from Manhattan for the Holidays. CIO
Note: <888> 03/19/08 Wednesday 5:10 P.M.. I am restoring the Vista Server 2008 Complete PC backup on the FIC server. I will then use the beta from October 2007 of the Vista Server 2008, and I will shrink the Vista Server 2008 partition. I will then make a third partition on the first hard drive, and I will try to install the Vista Server 2008 RTM with one year activation, and if I can figure out a password combination, I will have three different servers on the FIC server first hard drive.
On the most recently release of the Nvidia GEForce 163.75 forceware driver, I always knew that there was a bug in it, since when an earlier version of it came out for Vista in October 2007, when my primary Vista computer with the earlier betas of Vista SP1 would boot with that Nvidia drive, a Music Note would briefly displays itsself in the first part of the boot process. It has been mentioned in the beta notes that the Nvidia drivers for Vista and Vista SP1 are buggy, so I guess the earlier one from July 2007 might work better. I will have to see if I get any blue screen computer crashes. As I recall, the blue screen computer crashes started with the October 2007 Nvidia drive release, but you have to remember, I did not actively use the SP1 betas too much until this past December 2007. I kept waiting for Nvidia to fix it which they never did. Frequently hardware manufacturers do not support older hardware in hopes of selling new hardware. CIO
Note: <888> 03/19/08 Wednesday 3:25 P.M.. I was able to get the primary Vista computer to work in Clone mode on the High definition Sony television in the living room. I installed the July 2007 version of the Nvidia GEForce 6200 version 158.23 forceware driver which supports clone mode. I moved the Video lead from the GEForce FX5200 PCI video card to the GEForce 6200 AGP video card. I also crimped the cable connector that lies on the right mouse pad, a bit tighter, so the Sony television color is clearer. To use Clone mode, one has to disable the Nvidia GEForce FX5200 PCI card in the Device Manager. Then one uses the Nvidia Control Panel to select either of the two Nivida GEForce 6200 monitors as the primary monitor and the TV as the second monitor in Clone Mode. It works just fine, and one can use the Vista Ultimate Media Center with it or the Hauppauge Remote Control to control it on the Sony television. One has to start the "Restart IR" to enable the remote control. Thus the same picture on the enabled computer primary monitor shows up on the Sony High definition television. Thus with the Windows Media Player, one can watch all of the internet multimedia on the Sony High Definition television. One has to change with the Sony television remote control with TV/AV to Video One to get the feed from the computer. I still have to used the computer sound system, because I have not run a audio cable yet from the computer speakers to the audio input on the Sony television. Of course, after using multimedia, one has to change the configuration back to the four LCD screen setup on the primary Vista computer, but it only takes a few minutes. I threw out some garbage, and I picked up my mail. I will now make and eat a baloney and cheese sandwich which I will eat with Pringle sour cream and onion potato chips and a dill pickle slice and a glass of iced tea. CIO
Note: <888> 03/19/08 Wednesday 12:10 P.M.. I setup the Vista Ultimate Media Center to work with the Direct Digital Cable TV line and High Definition Antenna. I can not set it up to work the Hauppauge TV Card Remote TV IR with the digital TV box with remote IR, because I only have one Digital TV box on top of the Sony High Definition Television. For the IR cable to work with the Digital Cable TV box, I would have to get a second Digital Cable TV box near the Hauppauge 1600 TV card remote IR sender which would cost me an additional $6.50 a month, so I have setup the entire apartment system to work off one Digital Cable TV box which was quite expensive for the extra cables and splitters. I set it up starting around Christmas 2007. The Vista Media Center still works on the primary Vista computer with the Hauppauge 1600 remote control that I have by the primary Vista computer, and I put in two new AAA alkaline batteries in it. One can not run the Media Center in Clone Mode with my Nvidia Video cards putting it on the Sony High definition television, and one can run it with a primary Vista monitor, and move the Media Center to the Sony High Definition television monitor, and use it with the Hauppauge 1600 remote control. One does not need to run the Media Center on the Sony High Definition television, since it already has the High Definition Digital Cable box connected to it. I do not watch that much television anyway. It is just a nice multimedia feature that I set up. I also watched President Bush's speech www.whitehouse.gov on www.foxnews.com about the progress of the war with Iraq. CIO

However, Europe is an older developed area of the world, so they have older sewer systems, and the type of toilet paper one uses depends on what one's local sewer system or septic system is built like and capable of handling. I do not think away from the tourist areas in Saudi Arabia they use toilet paper, since Saudi Arabia does not have much water, it would not be practical to use toilet paper. Out in the Illinois in the old days, before toilet paper, I guess the Scott family used dried corn husks which were commonly available. Of course without central running water, they had out houses or privies in back of the house, and more than likely they were a bit cold in the winter, and they stank in the summer. I recall the same cottage behind Grandma Bovan's primary cottage on Lake Michigan in Holland, Michigan also had an out house. Since the cottages were not heated or insulated in the winter, the water would have to be drained from the pipes, therefore it was not practical to have indoor plumbing in the summer, when it would freeze over in the winter. However, we are more modern in Greenwich, Connecticut, so we do not have those problems here. CIO

I bought Windows Marketplace: Product details for Microsoft Money Essentials for $19.99.
I downloaded Microsoft Money Essentials that I had bought, and I uninstalled Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe, and then I installed Microsoft Money Essentials, but unfortunately, it does not work with older Microsoft Money files, and there is no way to convert them. Possibly the more deluxe versions of Microsoft Money 2008 work with older Microsoft Money files, but currently, I can not afford to buy them. I thus returned online with an RMA, the Microsoft Money Essentials, and hopefully, my $19.99 will be refunded soon. When I reinstalled Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe, I ran the Setup file as administrator in Vista, and it now seems to work a lot better with its 30 meg. data file of 13 years of Microsoft Money data. Note: <888> 03/16/08 Sunday 9:15 P.M.. After I ate dinner, I chatted with a relative and a friend. I read the GrandLuxe Rail Journeys - OFFICIAL SITE - Formerly American Orient Express brochure. It seems a bit pricey, but some people seem to like to travel. I thought I saw Tony Pigato downtown today http://mikelouisscott.com/photo/mike-scott-and-friend-new-york-1987.jpg , so maybe he flew up from Brazil to visit, now that we have warmer weather. I saw a lot more retired people out and about too. I also noticed, there still seems to be a lot of traffic around, so I guess the Movers and Shakers of Greenwich, Connecticut can still afford to drive around a bit on weekends. I get out so little anymore, I really do not know much about what is happening around here, but maybe with the warmer weather, I will try to get out some more. I recall, when I first left Nantucket a little over 24 years ago, I was having a couple of Stolis in Manhattan at a local pub, and somebody from Midland, Texas invited me over for a drink at an apartment at around where the crane fell down this weekend. I think it was at the southeast corner of 51st street and 2nd Avenue, and the entrance to the building was on East 51st street. I recall the apartment was one of four on the 13th floor, and I recall the bathroom had black tile, and there was a view up 2nd Avenue. The person was from Midland, Texas, and he was barrowing the apartment from a friend, and he told me he was opening a French restaurant in Midland, Texas. I recall having toured Saks Fifth Avenue earlier that day before Christmas 1983, and I told the Texas visitor, I had seen $800 cashmere robes miss marked for $80. As I recall, I normally did not like taking elevators in Manhattan, so that was unusual that time, I took an elevator. I think the people that I knew in that neighborhood were, Fred Von Mierers http://mikelouisscott.com/fred.htm , Buzz King, Joe MacDonald, Bernard Schwab, Keller Donavan, John Binninger, Bobby Fink, Billy from South Carolina, Ema MacDonald, Louis and Michael from England, a Danish fellow that looked like George Cary, George Nichols, Ed Powers, Burt Greer, Taylor Sterling, Mike Bickford and I knew of quite a few other people that I heard and read about in that neighborhood, but since they were probably older, I did not recognize them. I am a bit tired, so I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed soon. Have a good night. CIO
Note: <888> 03/16/08 Sunday 5:00 P.M.. I went out after the last note. I drove over to Staples in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, and I returned the defective Pacific Date DVD drive for $24.95 credit, and I bought the I/O Magic 18X Internal Double-Layer DVD Drive at Staples® for $27.50 and I also got the two year Staples warranty for $4.99 and .45 tax for net cost of $7.99. I toured the store. I gave two calling cards to store employees, and I gave two to store customers. I then returned to downtown Greenwich, and I sat out for a while. I stopped by Zen stationary, and I bought for a dollar a Greenback #29 scratch card, and I won $5 for $4 profit. I said hello to a couple walking a Dalmatian and a brown poodle type dog. I then went by the Greenwich Hardware store, and I bought a package of two folding closet door knobs for $2.99 and .18 tax for $3.17 total. I then went by CVS, and I looked at the store circular, but there was nothing that I needed. I then went by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with two reference librarians. I then went by Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon gasoline station, and I bought $8 of self service premium unleaded gasoline $3.939 a gallon for 2.031 gallons for 26.4 miles driving since last Sunday at odometer reading of 59668 for 12.9985 miles per gallons driving mostly on Putnam Avenue and Greenwich Avenue this past week. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought green Chiquita bananas at .59 a pound for $1.77, two 37 ounce frozen Mrs. Smith's Dutch Apple pies for $3 each, and 8 ounce container of Stop and Shop Parmesan and Romano grated cheese for $2.50 for $10.27 total. I then returned home, and I chatted with a neighbor. I put away the groceries. I installed the new DVD/RW drive as the lower second DVD drive in the primary Vista computer http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm . I also used a spare DVD drive audio cable to connect it to the second audio connector on the Creative Audigy sound card. I moved the two year old LG DVD/RW drive from it, and I put it in as the lower second DVD/RW drive in the FIC server. I removed and older CD/RW drive from it, and I store it in the box that the new drive came in. I also registered online the 2 year warranty for the new drive. I printed out three copies of the warranty. I made three copies of the sales receipt, and I will store two sets with my other computer information, and one set with my other receipts. I put one of the new closet knobs on the sweater closet in the hallway using the longer existing screw. I stored the remaining knob on the lower floor area of the same closet. I will now microwave and eat a Maria Calendar 21 ounce frozen beef lasagna dinner which I will put grated parmesan cheese on, and I will eat with a glass of iced tea. CIO

I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I called up 1-800-42-GEICO, and I got the amount that I owe for my first payment on my new www.geico.com policy starting April 8, 2008. I went ahead and paid the $117.65 amount which is the first of four payments of the same amount on the six month policy. I am charging up the two AA used Metal Hydride batteries from Nikon Digital camera, and they should be ready by 6 P.M.. It is suppose to rain until about 4 P.M. today, so it is not worth going out for a walk. CIO

I went to bed at 8 P.M., and I woke up briefly at 1 A.M. when I thought I heard a crash, but it was nothing. I finally got up at 5:15 A.M.. I put clean linens on my bed, and I did two loads of laundry and one dry cycle, and I have 20 minutes to go on the dry cycle. Since I hang my woolen items up to dry in the bathroom, I do not need to use as many driers.

Note: <888> 03/15/08 Saturday 1:35 P.M.. I chatted with a relative. I took a nap in the Ethan Allen recliner. I noticed yesterday at the Merry Go Round Mews Thrift Shop, they have a large burgundy Ethan Allen sitting chair with matching large foot stool ottoman. It looks to be very expensive. I ate a bowl of goldfish crackers. It appears not many people are going downtown anymore, and the pace of activity reminds me of a European village atmosphere. I guess with gasoline at close to $4 a gallon, it even effects the pocket books of the upper middle class residents whom have a bit more money. I still see people driving large GMCs and Hummers, but more than likely they are on Company expense accounts, so the cost of fuel is not coming out of their own pockets. I think a GMC has two 50 gallon tanks, so it would cost about $400 to fill up. The price of travel in America has become quite expensive, but since travel is the same as the cost of transportation, everything else seems to be getting more expensive, since pretty much everything else has to be transported into this area. Still the United States Government has not made any substantial increases for those people living on fixed incomes from the government, which I think numbers close to 60 million or more people, so I would imagine a lot of people are having trouble dealing with the current economic times. I guess a great many people are staying at home with the internet and reading books, so possibly the publishing business might start to be doing a little bit better. However, even a best seller usually only sells about fifty thousand copies, so don't expect a best seller to pay for your college tuition bills. I also ate two Quaker grenola bars. CIO

I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I moved the 1989 Social Register off the tea table by the French reproduction chair, and I put it underneath the Greenwich, Connecticut telephone book by the Toshiba laptop on the small computer table at the apartment entrance. Well, it seems a bit warmer locally, so we might have a warmer spring. However, the weather can play strange tricks, and even back in May 1971, when I returned from Tobago, we had a 6 inch snow fall in Manhattan. Thus I would not yet advise planting your tomatoes, just yet. From what I know which is not much, the possible warmer weather is NOT caused by Global Warming, but by "Solar Flares". It is the nature of Solar Flares that they put out a lot of electrons that excite the Earth's Core that contains a lot of Neutrons. Thus basically, possibly Solar Flare Activity can cause Tectonic Activity, and when an event happens such as a Volcano erupting, one can end up with much colder weather in the future, despite the short term immediate effects of warmer weather. I think this picture http://mikelouisscott.com/mls-030408/DSCN0533.JPG with what looks like an eagle in it came out particularly well. It is a picture of a couple of Stillman Rockefeller's bank buildings which I think today are called Welcome to Citibank . My father Louis Dale Scott use to bank in their office at the Pan Am building on the North Side of Grand Central Terminal, so we have some sort of family connection with them. When the Rockefellers could afford a private town house in Manhattan, they lived on 54th street just west of Fifth Avenue around where the MoMA | The Museum of Modern Art . With worldwide investments today, they could be living anywhere, but more than likely they are living around Irvine, Texas where www.exxon.com is headquartered. I dare say somebody at Exxon would know their where abouts. CIO

With St. Patrick's day coming up, it is suppose to be a nice day for the New York parade. Most of the Irish seem to work on Wall Street anymore, so they seem to have money, so they will not want to be bothered standing out in public with the poor people. However, St. Patrick's Day also brings the Irish Travelers from Murphyville, South Carolina into this area, who are a well known group of con artists on the East Coast of the United States. However, locally we are better prepared, since the new Greenwich, Connecticut police chief is an experience United States Air Force www.af.mil security officer, so more than likely they will be using more modern surveillance techniques against the Irish Travelers, when they try to continue their long string of petty crimes and rip offs. They usually don't bother me, since I a'int worth bothering, and I have friends and associates in the Hill Country near them that keep an eye on their home town. Note: <888> 03/12/08 Wednesday 9:00 A.M.. I backed up the changes on the Epox backup computer with Vista Complete PC backup from the first hard drive to the second hard drive. I have copies of the server folder on all three partitions. I also installed the updates, before I backed it up.
I made a simple version of a classic American meal.
I took a two defrosted 8 ounce top round London Broil burgers, and I first peeled and minced four cloves of garlic, and I put the three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a 10 inch frying pan, and I added the minced garlic, I then peeled and diced two medium onions, and I added the diced onions to the frying pan. I turned it to medium high electric burner heat, and blanched and browned the onions and garlic a short time, and I cut the ground beef into half inch chunks, and I added it with three pads of 50% less fat butter, and I seasoned it all generously with garlic powder, ground black pepper, and Italians seasoning. I sautéed the mixture stirring it regularly, until the beef began to brown, and I moved the frying pan to the small electric burner on medium electric burner heat to continue to let it simmer covered with a lid.
I put three quarts of water in a six quart Revere pot, and I added a half teaspoon of sea salt and a teaspoon of olive oil, and I brought it to a boil. One it began to boil, I added the macaroni contents from two www.kraft.com 7.25 ounce dried Macaroni and cheese dinners, and I boiled the macaroni for eight minutes stirring it frequently over medium high electric burner heat on the large burner, and I lower the sautéed beef to low on the small burner keeping it covered with a lid.
I drained the macaroni in a colander, and I added it back to the six quart pot, and I added one stick in half inch pads of 50% less fat butter to the macaroni, and I stirred it around to melt the butter. I then seasoned it generously with garlic powder, ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, and dried parsley, and I mixed it all together. I then added the two powdered cheese packages one at a time, and I mixed them in one at a time. I then poured in the browned burger and blanched onion mixture, and I mix it all together. I then added a half cup of milk, and I mixed it all together in the six quart pot. I use a large wooden spoon for mixing. I then put 1/5th in a soup bowl, and I sprinkled some grated parmesan cheese on it, and I covered it with another bowl, and I placed it on the dining table. I then put the remaining 4/5ths in a large flat Rubbermaid container with lid, and I refrigerated it. I cleaned up my cooking utensils before eating. I ate the single serving with a large spoon with a glass of iced tea. It is sort of my homemade version of hamburger helper with a little help from Kraft. CIO

More than likely it will continue that way until the schools let out in June, and we get a bit of summer traffic. I am not seeing any if any large numbers of European tourists spending money in this area, and I have a feeling the public press is generally misleading the general public. From what I can tell, the local economy is cut to the bone, and it will continue its downward spiral. From an economic point of view, I figure the town of Greenwich, Connecticut can hang on for about two more years, and after that it might face bankruptcy. I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed soon. CIO

I did noticed at the Microsoft Conference in Manhattan last Tuesday, I noticed a young fellow in his early 20s eating a Red Apple, and he had the Roosevelt family look, so perhaps since they grow Apples, he could afford to eat a dollar Apple unlike most of the rest of the general public. Possibly if I ever have time that will solve the password problem on the year demo that I have. As I have explained before, it is not critical that I install it, since I already have the October 2007 beta working just fine.
Since I am legally disabled and totally worn out after living all winter without heat, and according to an associate, I am not fit enough to travel long distance. Thus I will not be making the trip out to California and driving to San Antonio, Texas. My relative has the capability of making other arrangements. From my viewpoint, since I have driven so little long distance over the last 30 years other than summer trips to Kennebunkport, Maine, I would not be suited for driving half way across country. Also since I travel so little, I have very little experience in dealing with the diverse general public.
My specific instructions from the most senior British resident in Greenwich, Connecticut are:
Keep Doing What You Do.
You Are Not Suppose to Know What Goes On.
Get a Hair Cut.
Stay Focused.

I stopped by CVS, and I picked up a prescription, and I bought a 9.25 can of Planter's cashew bits and pieces for $2.32. I chatted with a Greenwich Library worker. I completed my walk, and I sat outside, and I ate most of the can of cashew nuts, and I fed the rest to the birds. I then went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop. They are having a $5 a bag sale, and everything else is half price. I bought a 6 quart Corning Dutch oven with glass Pyrex lid for $2 and a Corning cooking tray to fit underneath the Dutch oven for $1 for $3 total. I then went by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with some staff. I then returned home. I put the Dutch oven and its shelf on the right side on top of the General Electric microwave oven. Note: <888> 03/08/08 Saturday 2:10 A.M.. At the Microsoft Conference at the Sheraton Hotel on 53rd street and 7th Avenue, I got a free promotion licensed copy of Vista Ultimate SP1 that I have installed and configured on the Epox backup computer in a separate partition from the XP Professional partition. I also got a year license demo of Vista SP1 Widows Server Ultimate 2008 which does not install properly in a 32 bit install. Thus I am using the October 2007 beta of the same program on my FIC server running it as a IIS 7 server. I also got the 64 bit version that I can not use. I got Visual Studio Standard 2008. I thus have license keys for Visual Studio Standard, Windows Server Enterprise Physical Key, and Windows Server Enterprise Virtual Key. I also got SQL Server 2008, but I have to use a pin number online to get the product activation key. I also got a limited time software trial software package of Microsoft Forefront and Microsoft System Center. I also got the Windows Mobile 6 Developer Resource Kit. I also got the usual vendor and OEM material along with a DVD from twentysix New York - Business Intelligence | Enterprise Integration | Custom Applications . I put the red Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 stress ball underneath my lower left LCD monitor to have available for stress. I will put the Microsoft Heroes Happen Here pen in the center living room desk drawer. I will put the bag with the promotional material with the other Microsoft conference bags behind the bedroom door, and I will put the DVDs with the other DVDs in the white bookcase on the second shelf down at the bedroom entrance. Note: <888> 03/08/08 Saturday 1:40 A.M.. I noticed when I was in Manhattan this past Tuesday that the sidewalk around www.cbsnews.com is surrounded with plywood, so one can really see the state of the building behind it. I also noticed that this exhibit http://mikelouisscott.com/mls-030408/DSCN0590.JPG of this electric blue fountain http://mikelouisscott.com/mls-030408/DSCN0585.JPG in front of the R.C.A. building at Rockefeller Center is interesting, but with satellite missile tracking, it could be used as a beacon to guide in a hostile missile or event a hostile air craft, so let us hope, it is not a Trojan Horse. Note: <888> 03/08/08 Saturday 1:15 A.M.. I woke up about 6 P.M., when I think I might have had a telephone call. I woke up again around 8 P.M., and I chatted with a friend from Eastern Connecticut for a while. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I picked up my mail, and I watered the plants. I copied the FIC Server files to the Vista Ultimate SP1 partition on the Epox backup computer, and I set it up to also work as a Server with the Vista IIS 7 server that comes with Vista Ultimate SP1. I then backed up the changes from the first hard drive to the second hard drive with Vista Complete PC backup. To use the Epox computer as a server, one would have to change the IP address in the Netgear FR114P routers setup, and at www.optimum.net , one would have to reset the IP address from the Managing Dynamic IP Address, both of which are quite simple. However for some reasons in the past when I have used the Epox backup computer as a server, it shuts down or turns off, so possibly I might have to reset the power saving features in the CMOS.
There is suppose to be 2 to 4 inches of rain until Saturday evening, and there might be local flooding National Weather Service Watch Warning Advisory Summary . That's right, the 6 P.M. telephone call was an automatic telephone call from First Selectman Peter Tesei with the weather warning. They mentioned the Greenwich, Connecticut web site for more information Welcome to the official Town of Greenwich Connecticut Web site .
I told the New York Meteorologist that I chatted with coming out on the train on Tuesday evening about the Free Weather Pulse weather program available from Weather Pulse, weather software . It gives the local weather hour by hour for your local zip code, in case you don't feel like being hit by lightning or some other local weather event. CIO

Note: <888> 03/07/08 Friday 7:10 A.M.. I made and ate the same dinner as two of the last three nights. My electricity bill www.cl-p.com without using hardly any electric heat in February 2008 was $176.04 about $9 more than the January 2008 bill. I think I might have gotten out of New York City this past Tuesday in case the trains are not running because of lack of electricity by the fact that the Amtrak Acela pulled into the Greenwich train station right after me, so maybe some VIP was traveling, so they electrified the railroad for a shot period. I do not see that many trains when I am downtown anymore, so I am not sure if the run regularly or not anymore. That site just east of the Metro North 125th street train station in Harlem on 124th street where the building fell down was for sale for $6 million. It might be a good place for a Welcome to KFC.com . Note: <888> 03/07/08 Friday 4:50 A.M.. I woke up yesterday at about 3 P.M., when a relative called. I got up at 4 P.M.. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I went back to bed until 9 P.M.. I chatted with a relative and a friend twice. I might be traveling at the end of the month, but it is still up in the air. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I restored the Vista Server Complete PC backup on the FIC server. I used the Vista Server to shrink the XP Professional first C: partition to 92 gigabytes, and I enlarged the D: Vista server to 52 gigabytes. I am currently trying to install the Vista Enterprise Server 2008 on the second partition, but every time I try to install it, I get prompted to change the password, and then I get an error message the password is not valid. I am now trying changing the partitioning to see if I can get it to install properly. If I can not get it to install, I will restore the Vista Sever October 2007 beta Complete PC backup of both XP and Vista Server partitions that I made towards the end of January 2007.
I was not able to install Vista Enterprise Server 2008 through a number of methods because after installation, it asked to change the password, and it gives an error message that it can not accept the password, and it goes no further. I have not figured out a work around for it.
I restored my earlier backup of the entire system. I updated it. I am now doing a Vista Server Complete PC backup of the two partitions on the first hard drive of the FIC server.
I chatted with Microsoft Security about a couple of matters.
I will start the server running, once I have finished the backup.
The promotional information for the Vista Server Enterprise 2008 software that would not install says it is suppose to be for internal demonstration use and not for commercial online use. However, I am allow to use the betas online. I tried to install it off line, but that did not make a difference with the password problem. I had the same problem with the RTM version too. It has me stumped, unless they have cripple it through some sort of online connection. Possibly their servers that verify product activation are not up and running yet.

I backed up both the Vista and XP Partitions from the first hard drive to the second hard drive. About 4 A.M., I reheated and ate the same meal as the last two nights ago. I ate it with a glass of iced tea. I also made up a batch of Formula One http://mikelouisscott.com/icetea.htm . I also took the book out that I used to secure the tea tray on top of the Epox computer, so one can slide it back and forth to open the DVD and the CD players. It is propped up at the near end by the Epox door and the brass and glass coffee table end.

I put the eight pairs of white crew socks in the lower drawer in the bureau in the living room. I hung the light weight bathrobe underneath my red heavy terry cloth bathrobe in the bathroom. I put my old small pair of light weight cotton pajamas on the top shelf in the bedroom closet, and I hung the new pairs of flannel pajamas on the right hand side of the open bathroom door. I put the new sweater on the sweater shelf in the hallway closet.
I obtained the product key for the promotional Vista SP1 Ultimate, and I made two copies of the DVD. However, I am not allowed to install it by just using product key. On the Epox computer, I shrank the XP partition with Vista Disk Manager to 82 gigabytes, and when I installed Vista Ultimate SP1, I put it in a 69 gigabyte partition. I have configured it mostly, but I still have to install the programs. I have activated it. It seems to be running just fine. I took Norton Internet Security 2008 off the XP partition, and I put it on the Vista Ultimate SP1 partition. I put the latest version of Computer Associates Internet Security Suite on the XP partition, but I did not install the parental controls. I ate a bowl of goldfish crackers. I put the Intel CS330 web cam on the Epox computer, and I moved the generic web cam with the broken base to the Dell backup computer in the bedroom, and I put the good Generic web cam on the Northgate Syntax computer. I use the largest of the three tea trays, and I propped it on top of the Epox computer with two books underneath the small brass and glass table, and I put my left hand side mouse pad and mouse on the tea tray, so it is easier to use. Note: <888> 03/05/08 Wednesday 2:55 A.M.. I still have the one way refund ticket into Manhattan, because they did not collect it on the Metro North train coming out, a $10.75 value. I hope it does not expire, because it will probably be a long time before I use it. I normally do not visit Manhattan, since it is very expensive, and since it tends to speed one up too fast in the daytime. Most of the time, I use to drive into Manhattan late at night or go out late at night when I lived there, however that was when I was younger and quicker. Now with the internet I have lots of activity to keep me busy out here in the suburbs. Just before I photographed St. Patrick's today, I thought I saw Jimmy Eldert jog out the front door of the church and down Fifth Avenue. Since he is Roman Catholic and networks around high level church people, he could be back in Manhattan. He seems to be about 15 years younger looking than he is after all of the years living by the ocean in California in a low stress environment. If he stays too long in Manhattan, he will begin to look his age, particularly if we have some cold northern winters. I once walked around with him barefoot in Manhattan in six inches of snow, and nobody was around, but that is when he was from Syracuse, New York. They probably brought him back east for a little bit of Hollywood on the Hudson, for the Pope's visit to Manhattan this April.

Note: <888> 03/04/08 Tuesday 11:15 P.M.. I woke up at 2:30 A.M. this morning. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I made two baloney and cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise. I made my bed, and washed the breakfast dishes. I showered, and I cleaned up. I packed my Swiss Army day back with my Nikon Digital Camera and spare batteries, along with the two baloney and cheese sandwiches and a can of cashew nuts and a banana along with the Microsoft conference information. I left the apartment at 4:30 A.M.. I parked in the Island Beach Parking lot at the meter spaces, and I paid $3 for all day parking. I bought a round trip Metro North ticket at the platform vending machine for $21.50. I used the bathroom. I caught the 5:27 A.M. local train into Grand Central station. I arrived about 6:20 A.M.. I walked north through Grand Central station through the Metropolitan Life building up the west side of Park Avenue. I noticed that Park Avenue does not have pedestrian cross walk lights, which I thought they use to have. I took some pictures going up Park Avenue, and I stopped for a cigarette on the North Side the German Deutche Bank which has some protection out of the elements. I walked west on East 53rd Street to Fifth Avenue, and then I walked down to Rockefeller Center taking pictures on Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center. Rockefeller Center has a blue neon sculpture fountain in front of it. I chatted with the door man at Rockefeller Center. I noticed a lot of people watching the life broadcast of the NBC Today show. I then walked over to Sixth Avenue and across West 53rd street to the Sheraton New York. I got my conference credentials. I toured the Microsoft Partners exhibit, and I got a red Microsoft Stress Ball. They also gave me a Microsoft pen. The conference started at 9 A.M.. There were about 2,500 people there. I ate one of the baloney sandwiches during the early morning break and another one at the lunch break. They had Sheraton Box lunches for the guests, but I figured out there were about a 1 to 10 ratio of box lunches to guests, so I figured I better not eat one, since I brought lunch. The conference explained a lot of the advanced features of Vista Server 2008. At 2 P.M. before the end of the conference, we were allowed to pickup our free copies of Vista Server 2008 and SQL server and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. It looks like I might have also gotten a free copy of Vista Ultimate SP1 too, which is quite a surprise. It says Vista Ultimate SP1 is a promotion kit, but it does not say, if it is the full licensed copy, which I will find out, when I have time to investigate. If it is I will put it on the Epox backup computer. I gave one of my calling cards to a conference attendee who had the most expensive laptop computer I have ever seen. It looked to have a 21 inch LCD screen with Intel processor. I also talked to the IBM guys that looked well fed. I also chatted with some of the Microsoft personnel about Vista. I saw one Bill Gates look alike, but he looked too young to be Bill Gates. I also saw quite a few computer guru types besides the younger generation. The Sheraton staff were most friendly and helpful. I smoked a few cigarettes during breaks at the side street entrance. I then walked back in the rain by Rockefeller Center and east on 52nd street and down Park Avenue. I stopped for another cigarette break at Deutche bank, and I chatted with an employee of theirs, and I gave them a calling card. I had another cigarette on the west side of Grand Central Station. I caught the 3:10 P.M. Stamford local. However, just as we game out of the tunnel, the train stopped and had to back up, because and abandoned building on East 124th street had collapsed near the railroad tracks. Once we were back in Grand Central station, the ticket vendor told me I had to go to the Ninth Floor of the Graybar building to get my refund. They gave me a refund slip good for another ride. They told me I might have to take the Lexington Avenue subway line #5 to Woodlawn Station, and there I could catch the New Haven line out to Greenwich. I gave the Metro North service agent a calling card. About 10 to 20 thousand daily commuters were waiting for the trains to start running. I had a cigarettes on the south side and the east side too. The station has been remodeled inside considerably, and it now has its original neo classical facade on the interior east side, and it is not as commercial looking. It seems to be once again a Grand Central Station in the traditional European style instead of the commercial fast food business style. I also used my cell phone outside the Campbell apartment which is on the southwest corner. I also had a few drinks of cold water at the Microsoft conference. At about 5:30 P.M. about 500 people departed on the Westchester line. I walked over the train I had debarked off of earlier, and it was just about to leave, but the train station sign boards and public address system had not announced it, so I departed on it with the train about 5% full with the station filled to maximum capacity with people waiting to leave. I chatted with a well known meteorologist on the way back to Greenwich, and I gave him a calling card, and I also saw somebody else from www.cbsnews.com , but since I don't watch C.B.S. or much television anymore, I am not sure if he is still on the news or not. I returned to Greenwich about 6:30 P.M., and I told the Greenwich taxi drivers about the situation, and they told me all of their taxis were used to take passengers into Manhattan. One the way out, the 125th street was still blocked off with emergency vehicles, and nobody got on the train at 125th street. I use the bathroom at the Microsoft conference about 4 times, and I used it at the Greenwich train station once on return. I returned home, and I chatted with a relative. I unpacked my Swiss Army back pack. I received a town hall meeting telephone call from Connecticut Congressman Chris Shays, but I did not have time to participate. I chatted with two more friends.
Here are the pictures that I took in Manhattan early this morning between 6:30 A.M. and 8 A.M.., the light was probably not bright enough yet for some of them.

I went outside, and I threw out the delivery box. I have my Swiss Army knap sack ready to go into Manhattan, except I still have to make a baloney and cheese sandwich. I could always take the bus or subway back to Grand Central terminal. I will probably file a note when I get back home. There is not rush to install Vista Server 2008 for Windows RTM, since I already have the October beta on my FIC server. I do not run it all the time, since some times I like work with the FIC server with the IIS server with XP Professional. I am a bit tired, so I should sleep well. I chatted with a couple of friends. I have a friend's cell phone number in Manhattan, so we might make contact during the lunch break of the Microsoft conference. Bon Soir. I then went by the Wachovia Bank on Benedict Place, and I paid my rent to the Greenwich Housing Authority. I then walked over to the Greenwich Post Office, and I mailed my Microsoft Money 2006 February 2008 income and expense report to an interested relative. I chatted with a local, and I gave the local my calling card. The young elementary school students from the Hamilton Avenue school that have been using trailers at the Western Junior High School were having a protest against the Greenwich Board of Education for providing them trailers with mold. I hate to tell the young students anytime, one lives by the ocean, you tend to get mold from all of the dampness. Unless we get rid of the ocean, we will not get rid of the mold. Of course we could move the new Hamilton Avenue school out to Arizona, where there is less dampness. A good way to get rid of mold is to use a sponge and 50% to 50% mixture of water and bleach. I once did that on the house in Nantucket owned by the head attorney for Bethlehem Steel with the last name of the same family that purchased Alaska from the Russian for the United States at a cost of $7.5 million dollars, which was quite a bit of money way back when. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought two six packs of New York Everything bagels for $2.50 each six pack, a loaf of Stop and Shop 12 grain bread for $2.49, two 8 ounce bars of www.cabotcheese.com Vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese for $2.50 each, a 59 ounce container of Simply Orange orange juice with calcium for $3, Stop and Shop sliced American Cheese for $4.99 a pound for $5.29, Wonderbar sliced German baloney for $2.89 a pound for $4.16, three 48 ounce containers of Ocean Spray cranberry juice for $5 all, a 48 ounce container of Quaker Old Fashioned oat meal for $4.49, two 64 ounce Stop and Shop Concorde grape juice for $3 each, a two tablet box of Stop and Shop 1.7 ounce blue toilet tablets for $2.69, two 12 ounce containers of Stop and Shop honey bear honey for $2.50 each, two 15 ounce bottles of Kikkoman soy sauce for $1.89, and a 38 ounce box Pepperidge Farm whole wheat goldfish crackers for $7.99 and .16 tax for $60.05 total. I then returned home. I gave a political briefing to Congressman Shay's administrative assistant, and I also called up the White House comment line, and I gave them a political briefing. The order from www.ordersmokesdirect.com for 7 cartons of King Mountain extra lights 100s in a box arrived. I threw out the shipping box, and I picked up my mail. I called up the Microsoft Event coordinator, and they told me 2,500 people are suppose to be at the Sheraton New York on 53rd street and 7th Avenue tomorrow. I guess if I can stay awake until 6 P.M. this evening, I would be on a day schedule tomarrow, and I would be able to make it to the event. I would have to get up at about 4 A.M., since I am slow starting in the morning. I also chatted with a friend, and I reminded the friend, when we were on the archeological tour of Greece back in the spring of 1972, there was an outbreak of Small Box in Yugoslavia, and we had to get Small Box shots at the health office in Athens, Greece. My friend later introduced me to the head of the International Red Cross who was a doctor from Geneva, Switzerland. CIO
Note: <888> 03/03/08 Monday 8:05 A.M.. I took a bit of a snooze in the Ethan Allen recliner. I watched a bit of children's television. Note: <888> 03/02/08 Sunday 5:20 A.M.. Wal-Mart sell this for $200, and it is cheaper here AAC34S Apollo Stainless Steel Countertop Convection Microwave Oven , so if it comes available again at the cheaper price, it might be useful.
Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset - Buy.com $44.99
Microwaves | BOOMj.com these have free shipping with lower prices. Looks like they ship from Nevada. I have been told not to order microwave ovens via UPS, so I am not sure if it would be safe or not to order long distance versus picking one up at a local store like Wal-Mart, but BoomJ does have good prices.
I do not plan on cooking tonight. I ate the rest of the box of low fat Cheez-Its.
I am not sure whether I will go to the Microsoft Vista Server 2008 launch conference or not. Since once I am on a night schedule, it is hard for me to get on a daytime schedule. I will see how my biological clock is running by Tuesday morning. It is not a hard trip into Manhattan, but it would upset my peaceful karma out here in the Boon Docks of Connecticut by visiting that steel and glass fortress on the Hudson River, they call Manhattan. I have to take in certain security considerations such as what might happen to people out here in Greenwich, Connecticut, if I went into Manhattan for even a short period of time. However, primarily usually once I am back on a night schedule, it is hard for me to get on a daytime schedule. I have three products keys for the betas of Vista Server 2008, and they might last indefinitely. If I were not able to continue running the beta, I could continue to run the XP Professional IIS server without any problems. Quite frankly my server does not get that much traffic to make it worthwhile for me to make a special trip into Manhattan. However, should I be awake on early Tuesday morning after a good nights rest, I might go into Manhattan. Microsoft will not take into consideration those individuals whom find it difficult to travel, and thus facilitate something more ecological simple and less energy consuming by simply emailing me the Product Key for Vista Server 2008. I guess since they grew up around www.boeing.com they are use to consuming a lot of energy, but when you consider my current situation working in an apartment in the winter without electric heat and minimal lighting, it would not make sense for me to travel into Manhattan to obtain something that I basically already have in terms of the earlier Vista Server 2008 betas. I will now go through my email. CIO

Note: <888> 03/02/08 Sunday 2:15 A.M.. I printed out two copies of my Microsoft Money 2006 report for February 2008. I put one in a stamped envelope ready to mail to an interested relative. I have about 13 years of data in my Microsoft Money 2006 report, so it takes a while for it to load, when I open it, but I am patient, since I do not spend that much money. CIO
Note: <888> 03/02/08 Sunday 1:15 A.M.. I woke up at 10 A.M.. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil, orange and grape and cranraspberry juice with vitamins and supplements and coffee with milk and splenda sweetener. I surfed the internet. I went back to bed until 4 P.M.. I had a call while I was asleep from a relative. I ate half a 13.5 ounce box of Cheez-Its reduced fat. I washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my bed. I went outside, and I threw out the garbage, and I picked up my mail. My rent statement from the Greenwich Housing Authority arrived, so I will pay it on Monday when the Wachovia Bank on Benedict Place is opened. I have charged up four of the AA metal hydride rechargeable batteries for my Nikon digital camera, and I have two more that I need to charge up. I am currently charging up four AAA metal hydride rechargeable batteries. I showered, and I cleaned up. I went out, and I went by the Chase Bank on Mason Street. I put in the $10 check for doing the survey. I went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I noticed at the lower level off the train station parking garage there is a slightly damaged nice wooden office chair. Part of its veneer is peeled off. They also have some of those large plastic sheets, one puts underneath chairs on wheels, so they roll better around office desks with carpets. During my walk down Greenwich Avenue, I stopped by Zen stationary, and I played an Aces High scratch card for a dollar, and I lost. I also stopped by the Greenwich Cigar store, and I played a Green Backs scratch card for a dollar, and I won $2, so I have a net profit of zero on two scratch cards. The wine bar beneath the Banker's Trust building on Fawcett Place was busy with what looked like a lot of wealthy Europeans. On the way up Greenwich Avenue, I used the bathroom at Starbucks, and the Greenwich fire department was out in force getting coffee. I mentioned to one of them about American LaFrance: America's Premier maker of Emergency Vehicles! which used to be up in Canada, but is now in South Carolina. I guess the Canadians went back to using dog sleds. I stopped by CVS on the way up Greenwich Avenue, and I bought four 9.75 ounce cans of CVS Gold Emblem whole cashew nuts for $2.88 each less two $2 off $10 coupons for $7.52 total. One the way down Greenwich Avenue, I chatted with a Golden Retriever dog walker about dogs. I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road. The 1996 white Cadillac Deville parked in front of the Indian Harbor House has a for sale sign in its rear window. It is in very good shape, but I am not sure the mileage. I helped push it out of the snow about three years ago. There are not as many lights on out on Long Island as I recall there use to be. I saw a former Swiss neighbor, and he is driving a new red Toyota Prius. He use to drive a Buick. We did not have time to chat. One walker told me, I would not want the white Cadillac unless I was retiring down to Florida, which I can not afford to do so. I then went by the Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon gasoline station next to the Greenwich Library, and I gave them one of my calling cards. I filled up the Audi tank with $6.50 of premium self service unleaded gasoline at $3.839 a gallon for 1.692 gallons for 20.7 miles driving since last Saturday at odometer reading of 59620 for 12.2340 miles per gallon. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought a six pack of White Gem boneless breasts of chicken for $1.99 a pound for $8.80, green Chiquita bananas at .59 a pound for $1.56, two packages of reduced produce baby carrots for .86 and .96 and two packs of reduced produce broccoli crowns for $1.18 and $1.34 for $14.70 total. I then returned home, and I chatted with a neighbor. I put away my purchases. I am currently on a night schedule, so I have to stay up until 4 P.M. tomorrow to be back on a day schedule, so I can make it to the Microsoft Vista Server 2008 Launch in Manhattan on Tuesday morning. I figure I will have to catch a train around 6:30 A.M., registration is between 8 A.M. and 9 A.M.. I called them up earlier at the New York Hotels: Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers NYC hotels at sheraton.com , and they told me it would be $37 to park there. Also they told me you can not smoke cigarettes in the hotel, but you have to smoke on the street. I recall being there before, since that was where American Airlines use to have their Manhattan office, and I recall there is a canopy that one can stand underneath to smoke if it should be raining. There is the 104M bus MTA New York City Transit from Grand Central Station on 42nd street that runs regularly from there to 8th Avenue and 50th street, and that would be $2 fare each way, but I think I might try to walk it to see some of the sights. They have a new electric foundation sculpture at Rockefeller Center. I could walk north on Park Avenue from Grand Central Station, and around 52nd street go West, and I think that would go by Rockefeller Center and then go over to Seventh Avenue and up one block to the Sheraton. One has to be careful crossing busy rush hour streets in Manhattan, when one is use to the slow traffic on Greenwich Avenue. It might rain that day. I could take my Red Swiss Army back pack with a bottle of Perrier and a couple cans of Cashew nuts and maybe some tuna fish sandwiches to go. I plan to take my Nikon digital camera with extra batteries too. I guess I will have to bring an umbrella too. CIO

I will now shut down the primary Vista computer, and I will go to bed soon. Have a good morning. CIO
Note: <888> 03/01/08 Saturday 12:30 A.M.. I had a problem with the primary Vista computer crashing when the Cable modem was turned off, so more than likely it was not caused by a hacker through the cable modem, and as I have said before possibly through the electricity, which I can not do anything about. However, I had a telephone cable going from the cable modem telephone line into the telephone line surge protector on the Belkin power control center. I removed that line from the Belkin power control center, and I connected it directly into the 5 line splitter that feeds the Cable modem telephone line. I also took the telephone line that connects into the electricity surge protector and then goes out to the external telephone modem, and I connected that line with a barrel telephone line connector and three splitter and telephone line to the same Verizon telephone line that connects to the Samsung all purpose fax, copier, scanner, and laser printer. However, that line is switched off to the Optimum telephone with the Radio Shack telephone line switch. Thus I have the capability of enabling it, and connecting the line to the US Robotics X2 external telephone modem, if I ever wanted to use the Verizon telephone line for internet access. Previously I had it set up with the Optimum telephone line. There is the possibility that a hacker could cause the computer to reboot through the Belkin Control Center telephone line surge protector, but I doubt if that would happened with the Cable modem turned off. It is all pretty much Greek to me. Possibly when the screen saver or power saver features activate, it sometimes causes the computer to crash. However, for long periods of time, it does not happen, so possibly it is some sort of hacker. Why any idiot would waste their time bothering me is beyond me, but there are a lot of idiots out there in the world, so it does not have to make sense. I saw on the www.foxnews.com that Obama has connections with the Weathermen subversive group out in Chicago, Illinois that the liberal media constantly covers up. It sort of make one wander what else the liberal media is covering up. CIO
