I might be doing this morning after I have the same dinner as last night and
clean up and take my usual walk, providing they have my size in a suitable

could check out Stew Leonard's and see if

about $30 instead of $40, with about $7 gasoline, I am not sure I could afford

London, Connecticut. He is collecting Play Stations and trying to
figure out how to fix an X Box. Chris is a multilingual Mick that
speaks English and French. He does not live in his native Vermont,
since it is too cold in Vermont after living in Florida. He knows
how to do maintenance, but at the same point, he also gets cold doing cold
weather maintenance, so he occasionally has a drink which is not unknown in the
north country. He is related to the Sullivan family too whom
probably have other relatives around, since there is a Sullivan county in nearby
New York state. Whatever, the case he volunteered to come down here on
Easter and to drive me up to Church service in New London, Connecticut and to
have Easter dinner in New London, Connecticut, which was a generous offer, but I
would rather him not waste his gasoline, and quite frankly since I never travel
anymore, I am scared to travel on the highway even on a holiday. I
explained to him the computer problems that I have been having and other matters
in the area. Tomorrow is George Cary's 57th birthday on April Fools

7:45 A.M.: I neglected to
mention, in the entire time that I have owned my General Electric Profile 15,500
BTU air conditioner with remote control for the last seven years that I bought
from Partridge and Rockwell on West Putnam Avenue in the first week of June
2000, when it was over a 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside and my old
www.sears.com 10,000 BTU air conditioner that
I had for 10 years failed after being repaired under warranty before the five
years ran out that I bought for about $260 in the winter when I first moved in
here 17 years ago from the Sears in White Plains, New York during the winter
from their clearance section for about $265, that with that rather early hot
weather it was rather difficult to get a replacement air conditioner, and since
buying the GE air conditioner, I have not had any maintenance done it except
washing and replacing the Frost King filters that I put in myself. I
have it on an extra heavy duty extension cord that I fabricated from parts from
the electrical supply outlet on East Putnam Avenue over in West Stamford,
Connecticut near the Shaffer rug cleaning place across from Kentucky Fried
Chicken
www.kfc.com , and anyway it has also
been installed year round except one winter, so it seems to have withstood the
elements and continual hot weather use around here. In my particular
location in this building above a first floor black roof with a western exposure
to the afternoon sun, the usage is continual for about six months a year to keep
the apartment from 78 to 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course with electrical
rates going up, it might be too expensive to run that cool in future summers.
Still with computers, one needs a cooler environment. One hot summer
afternoons, without air conditioning, my apartment could easily be over 120
degrees Fahrenheit. Last summer my apartment was cool enough during a hot
summer, but I noticed the electricity bill seemed to be a lot higher, so
possibly it is not as energy efficient, so possibly besides fixing the moving
louvers, under the service contract, I would think it might need to have its
Freon or whatever ingredient it uses recharged along with possible interior
cleaning and lubrication. I would think I would be covered under the
service contract for that. I also have seen their trucks across the
street at the old Putnam Green Apartment Complex that is now owned by Antares?
Real Estate. If you think I could move the old 125 pound unit at my age
and replace it or service it if it needed it, I think it is better to continue
to pay the service contract as long as I own it. It was made in South
Korea, so more than likely the new units are also made there. CIO

another payment of $3.42 finance charge, and I also made a final payment of
$50.11 for $232.37 paid to
www.newegg.com ,
since I figured
www.newegg.com should not
have to wait for me to receive my $50 rebate from Samsung later in late April.
With my luck it will probably arrive on May Day. I also paid my first
payment of $70.68 in the four month billing cycle on the
www.geico.com six month automobile policy
which I automatically renew every six months. I paid my Verizon bill which
I get local service without long distance at the Life Line rate since I am
disabled at $12.49 a month. I paid my bill to
www.cablevision.com for Optimum Online
Cable modem, Optimum Voice Long Distance telephone service, and Digital

subsidized rent, I will be back to my usual routine with food stamps and spare
cash of Greenwich, Connecticut on about $10 a day after I pay my major bills and
expenses. The bills that I am paying are for the upcoming month of
April 2007 and not for the past month. Thus I am not behind ever in
paying my bills. I do not owe
www.newegg.com anymore money. Of course I have a few minor
rebates coming too, and I am pretty much stocked up on food
http://mikelouisscott.com/inventory.htm . However, starting in June
2007, I will have to start paying my regular monthly average of $165 a month to
www.cl-p.com for my apartment electricity, so
in the warmer months, I probably will not have the extra funds that I have had
in past summers, when the NEON energy assistance program came in May, but
instead this year it came in January. I usually use the extra funds
left over from not having to pay my electricity bill for computer upgrades,
which I did this winter. Thus there will not be any major computer
upgrades until I get my renter's rebate this fall, and I do not anticipate any
then. I think a good investment in Redmond, Washington would be in a
Microbrewery for anyone whom needs to relax from the stress of home computers
and the Seattle fault line. I have to go through my old mail, and
find my new

put in my car. CIO

GE Safety

. This seems to be the closest model to the General Electric Air
Conditioner that I currently own
AGM14AH - GE® Energy Star® Deluxe 115 Volt Electronic Room Air Conditioner -
Features And Photos , but mine is 15,500 BTU and not 13,800 BTU. With
the internet, one can do a lot of home research. From my
records, I paid General Electric maintenance contracts on the air conditioner at
this payment history:
09/01/2001 $49.77
07/15/2002 $58.25
07/14/2003 $73.09
08/05/2004 $80.05
07/20/2005 $97.63
08/01/2006 $102.77
Total for maintenance
contract through September 12, 2006 $461.56
According to
http://www.geocities.com/mikescottnote/06021400.htm , I bought it at
Partridge and Rockwell on West Putnam Avenue here in Greenwich, Connecticut on
June 9, 2000 for $550 and $35 tax for $585 total. Thus in what
I have paid in service contracts for seven years with the first year free, I
could have pretty much have bought one of the newer ones listed about for about
$459 and tax. I could call them up about the broken moving louvers
on the current unit, but I do not think at this point they would give me a new
one and deliver it and install it for free, but they have had the use of my
money for all of these years which might be worth another $50 to a $100.
Well at least I am covered until September 12, 2007. Of course this
time of year, they could easily fix it or replace it, and during the warmer
weather, they might not be available right away. Seven years ago, I was
able to transport if from Partridge and Rockwell myself in the back of my old
Volvo, and I was able to move it upstairs on the building skateboard, and I was
able to install it. One winter, I actually took it out, and
reinstalled it the following spring which is way too much trouble.
However, when I researched them the last few years, I noticed these units who
web site currently does not work
Panasonic Consumer Electronics - Window Air Conditioners Learn More ,
in that they were more compact for the same BTU ratings, so they might be able
to be more easily removed from the window for the winter. Of course big
bucks always go for
Friedrich Air
Conditioning - Multiple Solutions. One Trusted Name. , but for
most of this summer, I seem to be covered. Of course if the current model
G.E. air conditioner continues to work this summer, and if I did not renew the
service contract for another year when it expires September 12, 2007, I might
not be able to afford to buy one when and if it did fail. There
would be two options for me if relatives could not finance me, one would be to
buy one on credit from
Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital
Cameras and more! , which has limited supply in the higher BTU range, or
they have inexpensive 12,000 BTU units from
www.homedepot.com for about $359 and tax last summer
The Home Depot: Shop Appliances online. However, when I have the time,
I might call up my General Electric air conditioner service contract people and
have a chat with them.
www.cl-p.com
has been giving out new 5,000 BTU units to the tenants that applied for them,
but in my particular case 15,000 BTU is just barely enough. CIO

1:50 A.M.: If you want to see
other Tuckers, try
news at
:: The Official Tucker Club of
America :: . I think the reason, automobile manufacturers did not go
with the three headlight design, although it was brighter, is that most people
have two eyes, and the third headlight tended to cause an hypnotic effect for
oncoming drivers. Of course a lot of individuals try to do reverse
engineering in this country, and for all I know Thomas' English muffins that
drop so many crumbs in toasters and toaster ovens are a fire hazard, and in the
old days, General Electric toaster ovens were such a fire hazard with the metal
screw that secured the hot plug housing connector to the toaster unit about 1/3
of an inch above the counter, that General Electric sold its toaster oven
division to Black and Decker, and Black and Decker did some mortifications.
Since the General Electric toaster oven design did not change for over 20 years,
although people acknowledged the problem, it makes one wander about other
General Electric
www.ge.com products such as
aircraft engines and nuclear reactors and locomotives. It says here
GE ::
Housewares - Product Details , they still sell them. I wonder if
that hot electrical screw is further off the counter on the bottom side.
One relative burned three kitchen counters with the G.E. toaster oven, and if
you cook a potato in it, it can get really hot. I use to keep one that I
have on an old hard wood cutting board, and it always had burn marks beneath the
toaster oven on the cutting board where it got hot. I still have the
cutting board underneath my General Electric microwave oven which seems to be
safer. Being the Pack Rat that I am, I still have the G.E. toaster
oven underneath the counter in the far left cabinet, just to the left of the
General Electric stove that I only use the burners on, since it is cheaper to
use the Farbareware convection oven on top of the Westinghouse refrigerator that
probably will not get a burn mark. When I first moved in here 17.5
years ago, they had General Electric refrigerators installed made in Decatur,
Alabama, but after about 9 years, they installed the Westinghouse Frost Free
refrigerators. One had to defrost the old General Electric freezers.
We do not have room for automatic dishwashers here, and quite frankly as a
retired individual with some dishwashing experience, washing a few dishes is not
a problem. CIO

1:25 A.M.: I noticed when
I got out and observed from the pier on Steamboat Road today that the
replacement house at the former Watson
www.ibm.com
house location seems sensible. It is a "L" shaped two story house with
gables, and the short side back or base of the "L" faces north with the long
side inside of the "L" facing east up Long Island Sound. Thus when
the cold north wind and the cold northwestern winds blow, the opened "L" area
facing east and south will be better protected from the cold winter winds.
It is wood frame, and it looks to be about five thousand square feet.
The Victor Borge vacant lot just north of it on the waterfront is still vacant,
so maybe some rich person plans to land their helicopter there some day.
If the mad hatter Hilary Clinton gets elected President, the flight pattern for
Westchester County - AirportMonitor -
by Megadata - powered by PASSUR will be changed from not flying over the
Belle Haven section and southwestern Greenwich, and they will probably start
flying several hundred planes a day over that area, since Hilary lives in some
unglamorous town north of the airport, but as President the planes would not be
able to fly over her home to the north, so they would have to fly over our area.
That is really the only political agenda in the area, so obviously some young
Turks north of Westchester airport seem to think they have more influence until
they have to pay their mortgages. There are a lot of California type
homes built in the ravine area of the area north of the airport, so possibly the
high tech California types think they know better, but why do they spend so much
time hanging out here trying to network, instead of their own backyard in
Armonk, New York. Maybe the California types like shopping for dresses on
Greenwich Avenue, but more than likely they are shopping for what is shopping
for the dresses. Locally they are called "Trophy Wives" .

12:45 A.M.:
I made up a batch of
Michael Louis Scott's Microwave
Oven Rice Recipe, and I also added a beef bullion cube and a teaspoon of
Kikkoman soy sauce.
I put about 1.5 cups of baby carrots and broccoli crowns in a Revere pot with
steamer tray and an inch of water and lid, and I steamed them for 15 minutes on
medium high electric burner heat. For the last 10 minutes I put a few
tablespoons of olive oil in a 10 inch stick proof frying pan with a few pads of
margarine, and I heated it medium high electric burner heat.
I then put in an eight ounce hamburger in the frying pan and a medium large
onion peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch thick slices, and I seasoned the burger
and onions on both sides with garlic pepper, ground black pepper, and chicken
and meat seasoning, and I cooked them on medium to medium high electric burner
heat flipping them frequently for about 4 minutes a side, and for the last two
minutes, I put on a couple of teaspoons of Kikkoman soy sauce and on top of the
burger I put two 3/16th inch by 1.25 inch by 4 inch thick slices of New York
State extra sharp cheddar cheese, and I put a lid on, and I steamed the cheese
for a couple of minutes. I then put the vegetables in a bowl with a
little bit of olive oil on them. I put the burger on a dinner plate
with the sautéed onions over them, and I put half the rice on the dinner plate
and the other half in a Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator, and I ate it
all with a glass of iced tea. I was told recently that the New York
Mafia has been meeting frequently recently in an inconspicuous coffee shop up in
Bedford Village, New York just north of Greenwich, Connecticut. They
must have money, since most people I know in Greenwich, Connecticut can not
afford to drive up to Bedford Village, New York. Bedford Village,
New York is such a labyrinth of roads, anyone could live up there, or come and
go from any direction, so it is hard to tell. I am not familiar with
the area too much, so I do not know which coffee shop. As a kid, I
use to have drinks at a small Inn just west of Bedford Village about half way to
the Shell station towards
www.ibm.com , and I
can not recall the name of the Inn, but I recall they had a nice fire place in
their bar room area. People try to keep me away from Bedford
Village, New York, since I apparently use to look so much like some electronics
guru up there, they mistook me for him as a youth. I recall the
individual was in the class behind me at the
The Taft School , his name was Tommy
Tucker of the automobile family fortune, and they branched out into
Tucker Electronics -
Sales of New, Refurbished, and Used Electronic Test Equipment which does not
sell much that the average layman would need, but more than likely they are a
U.S.A. Defense Department contractor, and like all Defense Department
contractors, the government would keep surveillance on them. If you don't
know what this is
All
About Used and New Oscilloscopes , you probably need to go back to
electronics school. I recall in my days of testing Polaroid Land Cameras,
the old high speed black and white install roll film was heavily used by
France's Nuclear Development Agency or whatever it is called today. Thus
more than likely it was used by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory agency, and as such
Polaroid would have been classified as a Defense contractor besides working on
the development of the Norden bombsight
NORDEN BOMBSIGHT ,
so more than likely former Polaroid employees still have surveillance on them
like any other former government defense contractors. CIO

and I washed the breakfast dishes. I showered, and I cleaned up.
I went out to my usual Thursday 3 P.M. appointment. I next went by
the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop. Some of their ever changing line
of merchandise is 50% off. I then drove over to Staples in Old
Greenwich, Connecticut. They refunded to my debit card $28.60 for
the two inkjet refill kits. I also gave them all of my used inkjet
cartridges, and two of them were HP, so I got $3 store credit for each of them,
so I bought another three pack of Staples Clamp binders for $6.49 and .03 tax
for $6.52 total with the two $3 coupons. I then returned to the less busy
area of central Greenwich, Connecticut, and I went by the convenient Greenwich
Hardware store, and I bought four 1.25 inch and four 1 inch thin Phillips
machine screws similar to the ones that held the small cooling fan on the heat
sink on the video chip on the Epox motherboard in the Epox server for .17 each
and .08 tax for $1.44 total. I then walked the enjoyable year round
exercise walk of the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station
area. I stopped by the Greenwich Cigar Store, and I bought a "Money
Talks" scratch card for a dollar, but I lost. I toured the lobby of
the Greenwich Train Station, and they have signs out for new train station
schedules available starting April 2007, but the new train schedules were
already gone. I chatted with a local resident in front of the senior
center. I chatted with somebody that looks like a famous celebrity from
the old days. I stopped by the ATM machine at the Chase Bank on
Greenwich Avenue, where the Bank of New York use to be. I chatted
with some of their staff about some of our local business individuals.
I stopped by CVS, and I chatted with some of their staff. I
completed my walk, and then I used the bathroom at the senior and the arts
center. I stopped by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with some of
their staff. I read P.C. Magazine. I then returned home.
I picked up my mail. I got one of those suspicious free cruise trips for
two tickets to the Bahamas and a $1,500 voucher at the Ramada Inn in
Florida, and a relative said it was probably fraudulent, so I shredded the
offer. I chatted with a relative. I booted Vista, and I tried
tweaking the monitor resolution settings they recommend, but the print is too
fine to read, so I restored it to the easier to read settings. I installed
the free QuickTime player update on my computer from
www.apple.com , and now the
www.chase.com web site does not black out my
Vista computer screen for a few seconds. I had the old Quick Time
player, but one needs to the latest free version update to work with Vista I
guess, so the Chase web site does not black out for a few seconds. I know
the Rockefellers are not too swift, so maybe they use Apple computers.

taco meal was very good reheated. With the higher price of beef in
America,
www.mcdonalds.com could sell
something like it in one of those little Styrofoam containers, and they could
call it the "Big Mex" . Since there is not much meat in the burrito
filling, there is probably about two ounces of meat in the meal with beans,
rice, tomato, corn shells and flavoring. Thus it might be alternative fast
food. I have never eaten at Taco Bell to see what sort of meals they
serve, but I once drove someone to a Taco Bell a couple of times in Old
Greenwich. I dug through hundreds of receipts and I found the Staples
Receipt for the Jettec Lexmark inkjet refill kits. They were purchased on
December 6, 2005 for $11.99 for the black Lexmark refill kit and $14.99 for the
color Lexmark inkjet refill kit plus tax. Possibly since they do not
get old, I might be able to return them. I will have to call them up

and I placed it where the HP Deskjet 842C was on top of the FIC server.
I hooked it up, and plug and play recognized it in Vista. I have its

fine. I have a spare black cartridge for it. I also have
two spare identical black cartridges for the two HP inkjets. That is all

1/3rd mixture of grape juice and with a 1/3rd mixture of Ocean Spray cranraspberry juice with a teaspoon of Certo with vitamins and
supplements, and coffee. I made the bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes.
I took down the flags in front of the hallway bookcases. I put them
in the lower Rubbermaid hamper in the bedroom. Since I use to read a
lot, I like to display the books most of which I have not read in the hallway
bookcases along with the other display items. I did keep the Dutch
tricolor flag out hanging it back over the left living room closet door.
About 8 P.M., I went over to Home Depot
www.homedepot.com in Port Chester, New York which is only about two
miles away from Byram. Downtown Port Chester, New York with the new
stores downtown and movie complex is beginning to look like Time Square.
They have a lot of outdoor plants and flowers at Home Depot in Port
Chester, New York. I toured the indoor plant section. I
bought a six inch diameter Pathos "Marble Queen" plant from the Solomon Islands
for $9.97 and a Schultz 8 ounce liquid container of 10-15-10 liquid plant food
for $4.38 plus $1.06 sales
tax for $15.41 total. About 11:15 P.M. the building fire alarm
system went off, and the Byram Fire Department responded. One of the
neighbors downstairs had a smoky toaster oven. It is a good idea to
clean the bread crumbs out of a toaster oven or toaster regularly, so one does
not get toaster fires. The fire department aired out the apartment.
I returned back from Home Depot, a little before 9 P.M., and I threw out the
dead cane plant, but I kept its pot. I scooped out some of the dirt from
the pot, and I mixed it with the Miracle Gro potting soil. I put the
six inch Pathos plant in the pot, and I added the Miracle Gro potting soil
mixture into the pot around the pathos plant. I did this in the kitchen
sink. I cleaned up the work area. I watered the pathos plant,
which with that pot, you have to water in the sink, since the bottom tray tends
to over flow. I then put 7 drops of Schultz Plant Food in a quart
container of water, and I watered it on the new Pathos plant, and I also water
the other plants with Schultz plant food. Once the new pathos plant
had drained, I put it on its water tray, and I moved it to the left front of the
living room mahogany bureau where the dead cane plant was. One can
get a nice cane plant at Home Depot in Port Chester, New York for $10, but I
think they need lots of light, which my apartment does not have. The
pathos plant grows in low light. The dead cane plant and pot, I found on
Greenwich Avenue last February a year ago when it was 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and
it was discarded in front of the now defunct Sam Goody store. It had
a few small shoots last summer, but it did not seem to have survive the winter.
It did not have any roots when I threw it away. I also threw out the
plastic hanging pot that the pathos plant came in. I will leave the
Schultz plant food beneath the kitchen sink with the glass Tropicana watering
jar. I restored the Vista Complete PC backup from two days ago, and
I then restored the few changed files. For some reason the Vista
computer did not start up properly until after the restore. It might
have been the update from yesterday, that it just installed again.
With Vista who knows? I will put the spare mouse and keyboard beneath the
bedroom side board with the other spare mice and keyboards. I
chatted with a relative earlier this evening. The fire department

03/28/07 Wednesday
10:35 A.M.: I took the two U.S.
Army
www.army.mil extreme cold weather
sleeping bags off the far ends of the sofa, and I put them behind the bedroom
closet door. I moved the paper shredder from behind the bedroom door
to along side the back side of the down sofa in front of the French reproduction
chair. I took the two comforters off the backs of the sofas, and I
put them on the top left side of the bedroom closet shelf. I move
the two hurricane globes with brass candle stands to the top front of the living
room mahogany bureau in front of the large pathos plant. I took down
the British Union Jack flag from in front of the center living room curtain, and
I rehung it over the Scottish Cross of St. Andrews flag on the right hallway
bookcase. I took the Dutch tricolor flag, and I moved it from the
left living room closet to the left hallway bookcase in front of the Swedish
flag. I then removed the Styrofoam that covered the General Electric
Profile 15,500 BTU air conditioner with remote control, and I slid it against
the window above the air conditioner. I took about 10 large bobby
pins, and I hemmed up the orange curtain above the air conditioner.
I move the Swedish blue glass globe to in front of the air conditioner.
I move the Williamsburg bean pot to the right side of CD cabinet underneath the
Sony television. I connected the air conditioner to the heavy duty
power cord that connects to the air conditioner plug, and I opened its exhaust
vent, I turned it on low fan. I set its remote control with the
other remote controls on top of the White Star Line place mat on top of the
Toshiba laptop on the brass and glass coffee table in front of the Ethan Allen
recliner. I left the Honeywell tower fan going in the same position
to the right of the air conditioner. I put the slender tall vase to the
right side of the air conditioner. I put the fatter blue vase on the right
rear side of the Lazy Susan holding the tall palm tree. I straightened up
the sofa pillows and the green slip cover on the long green sofa. I
left one light blanket on the back of each sofa and one afghan on the back of
each sofa. Once we get pollen in the air, I can not open the exhaust
vent on the fan setting on the air conditioner, since it would bring in pollen.
I move the hats, gloves, and scarves from the back of the down sofa to the lower
right shelf of the sweater closet in the hallway. Thus I have the
apartment set up a bit for warm weather. I will still leave my long
underwear hanging in the hallway in case we still get some colder days.
The air conditioner cooling feature seems like it works, but it will turn on
with the cooler temperature outside. One would have to try it in the
afternoon when the sun hits the west facing windows above the black flat first
floor roof. CIO

7:45 A.M.: I set both the
bedroom and the living room thermostats to "OFF" , which is counter clockwise
all the way. I took the small wooden oak folding table from the
right side of the bedroom desk, and I move it behind the bedroom door. I
think the other three folding oaks tables are underneath the bedroom on the
right side. I moved both of the DeLonghi oil filled radiators which I did
not have to use this winter from the hallway entrance area leading off the
living room, and I moved them to the right side of the bedroom desk with the
Epson Stylus 900 printer sitting on top of them with my old mail on top of that.
One of these days, I will have to sort through my old mail. We might
yet get a cold spell, so I will still leave my hats, scarves, gloves on the back
of the down sofa, and I will still leave my long underwear hanging in the
hallway. Since I am use to colder temperatures, and since I have a
westerly exposure with a lot of sun light in the warmer months, my apartment can
get too warm starting around the first of May. I leave the General
Electric Profile 15,500 BTU air conditioner installed year round, and I insulate
it and cover it up in the winter. However, it only takes about a
half hour to uncover it and have it available for use when needed. I have
the General Electric Service contract paid up on it until September 12, 2007
which costs about a $100 a year. Its moving louvers do not work, but
it seemed to work otherwise fine last season. The Honeywell Tower fan on
its right side would probably be good at moving around its cooled air a little
bit more, since the moving louvers do not work. It slides out of its
case for service. There are two screws on either side of the lower
front sides that have to be removed to slide it out the unit from its case
housing. Its outside housing is installed with support brackets to
support the heavier unit. It cost about $600 at Partridge and
Rockwell 5 years ago, and it runs just fine. It is high energy
efficiency made in South Korea. I think I cleaned the filter before
closing it up this past winter. I just put a Frost King foam filter over
its factory installed filter, so I can clean it. The new foam
filters which I have a spare one have cost a few dollars. Obviously with
the computers running I have to keep the apartment in the summer at about 78
degrees Fahrenheit. All of the computers have extra case fans for
keeping them cool too. CIO
Note:<888>
03/28/07 Wednesday
6:55 A.M.: I have turned both
the bedroom and the living room thermostats down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit for
the last 24 hours, and it is currently 79.5 degrees Fahrenheit in the living
room, so I guess the afternoon sun from the west is warming up the apartment a
little bit. It is currently 44 degrees Fahrenheit outside
Greenwich, Connecticut (06830) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground .
Of course if it goes below 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the living room, I can
always turn back on the electric heat. I am leaving the Honeywell
tower fan going, since it tends to circulate the air around the apartment.
Maybe the lights and computers and other electrical items are generating that
much extra heat. I only wore a flannel shirt and opened jacket out
last night, and I did not need anything warmer, but I still wear light long
underwear with my blue jeans, since with arthritis, it helps if you dress a bit
more warmly. Also I tend to spend a bit more time outside walking
around than people whom are just dashing back and forth from the car to some
destination. CIO

4:45 A.M.: The email server was
down briefly, so I checked the Epox server, and it did not work on it either,
but now the email server is working. While checking out the Epox
server, I heard a low sluggish sound from it. I disconnected it, and I
opened it up. There is a heat sink just below or left of the CPU on the
Epox motherboard, and it has a small 40mm by 40mm by10mm two pin fan on the heat
sink. That small fan seems to have given out. However it
is not needed in my particular configuration, since I have a five inch diameter
rear case a few inches behind it, so I removed the failing small fan, and with
the small fan removed, there is more air circulation around the heat sink, so
the system should be just fine, and I do not think I need to replace the small
fan. Also the power supply has two or three inside fans and the
there is a front case fan along with the CPU cooler, so there is more than
enough air circulation around the inside of the Epox server. However, I
found this replacement 2 pin one that is twice as thick at 40mm by 40mm by 20mm
instead of 10mm, so hopefully since it is a bit thicker it might last longer,

and I put each of the four in Stouffer's trays in Zip Lock food bags, and I
froze them in the freezer, and the fifth, I put in a flat Rubbermaid container

covered each with about three ounces of jar spaghetti tomato sauce, and then I
put a microwave lid on the plate, and I heated it on one vegetable cycle of the

about midnight. I watched the first part of it, the allies
alerted the French underground with coded messages to let them know it was
happening. Thus when they broadcast some sort of message in English
such as "The Windmills Are Turning", it meant the Allied Invasion was on.
However, the Germans thought the allies would only attack on a clear day at
sunrise instead in the rain at midnight. Whatever the case here,
there is not much left to invade for. There just are a bunch of new
rock houses with a lot of new foreign cars, most Americans would not be
interested in. The fattest people I have observed around here stay
fat by eating pork loin roasts, so they manage to keep their weight on. In
my particular case I get a bit of starch from the rice that I eat to keep my
weight on. They no longer fly the "Prisoner of War" flags downtown,
but some of the U.S.A. flags are at half staff and some of them are at full
staff. Basically from what I can tell not much is going on, but this
afternoon should be a bit busy with the St. Patrick's Day parade which usually
has a formidable group of people. As I recall in past years, the
biggest group was the Westchester County Fire Department, but as I recall they
do not wear green kilts, but red, black, and yellow kilts. They
usually have a few Irish wolf hounds in case any wolves show up out of the

there than they have in the past. I chatted with a local golfer
about having some sort of wild cat jump on the roof of the 1976 white Volvo 4
door sedan when I owned it about 7 years ago with two cars since, and I reported
that the cat jump on the roof of the car on the southwest side of the Greenwich
Reservoir, when I was checking out the dam after feeling a seismic vibration
downtown, and that was about 4:30 A.M. in August at the time. Not
knowing what it was I drove south a short bit down Lake Avenue and then west
across Clapboard Ridge and up Round Hill Road and west on Porchuck
Road and across Riversville Road and west on Cliffdale Road and around 4:30 in
the morning on I think a Saturday night somebody came from the opposite
direction of Cliffdale Road from the Bruce Golf Course area, and turned south
into the Farm just east of the small bridge they have redone since, or whatever
French Normandy Farm House is called, so I would have had a witness as to
whatever was on the roof of the car, but knowing the family that lived there,
they tend to be private, so I never bothered them about it, but they would have
seen whatever it was. I then drove on from there to Westchester
County Airport where they have lights and cameras, and the all night Hertz Rent
A Car person that I knew there at the time told me there was nothing on the roof
of the car. However, I do have a witness, maybe they were drinking and
thought it was some sort of stuffed animal. However, my cat allergies were
activated, so I assume it was some sort of cat. Frequently wealthy people
have exotic pets that get away, so who knows, it had me puzzled at the time.
I normally do not drive in back country at night since once one becomes
accustomed to the Big City lights of downtown Greenwich, back country Greenwich
is so dark, it looks like the back woods of Canada. I suppose it is
more so, now that it is more expensive to keep the lights on all night around a
house. After chatting, I then went downtown, and I walked the entire
length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.
At the top of Greenwich Avenue, I walked over to Putnam Trust Bank of New York
on Mason Street through Pickwick Plaza, and I chatted with a few of their staff,
and they told me the old Bank of New York MasterCard Debit ATM cards would still
be good when they switch over this weekend to

I then returned back downtown, and I sat out for a while. I then

around here. I could fly the Saudi Arabian flag and the U.S.A. flag,
and turn off the heat, and I could say this is the Saudi Arabian and U.S. Air

flag flying on the left hallway bookcase, since I drive a Swedish Volvo, and
www.abb.com is a Swedish Swiss Engineering

now on the right hallway bookcase, since my last name is Scott which might be
Scottish, but from what I know I am half Dutch, and the Scott half is 1/4th
Scottish, 1/4th English, 1/4thFrench, and 1/4th German, so I am only 1/8th
Scottish and 1/8th English or 1/4th from the United Kingdom and half Dutch and
1/4th German French. The U.S.A. flag around here is not very useful,
since people see it so some much of the time, they do not pay much attention to
it, and since the U.S. Government does not pay much attention to us in this neck
of the woods, we just keep hoping we will continue to get our monthly
Supplemental Security Income and a few other benefits, so we can manage to get
by here, which is why I keep using my spare money to volunteer. I
think to get the U.S. Government to respond to you, you have to pay a lobbyist

that of course takes more money than I or my neighbors have. The

I know they employ Europeans there, or at least people whom claim they are

5:40 A.M.: There is another program on television about Antarctica.
Not much happening as far as I can tell. I am a bit tired, so I will
now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed. Walking around
downtown like Zombie in the late night and early morning hours tends to wake one
up, when one is on a night schedule. I have not been reading too
much tech news recently, since every tech story seems to lead to additional
expense, which I can not afford. I suppose, since I spend so much
time maintaining my computer environment, I should try to put it to better use,
but I have read so much in my life time, a lot of the stories tend to repeat
themselves for new readers. I recently have been trying
to figure out why we are all living here. It certainly has nothing
to do with New York City. We all just ended up here a long time ago,
and we have been here ever since with a few side journeys to get away.
I guess we are an anglophile community, but from what I can tell, the English
have lost their sense of purpose in terms of their position within America,
since so many other foreign powers seem to be yielding major economic influence
in this rather remote outpost in the world. England is supposedly
3,456 miles away across a vast ocean, so we have to realize we really are way
out in the middle of nowhere away from modern European civilization.
However, having been to Europe a number of times, it is just as cold there as
here, and it seems to be quite a bit damper over there, since they are on the
eastern side of the Atlantic. They write a good story there, but
from what I can tell, we have the same research information over here, if you
know where to look. There is no need to do research in Europe when a major
university in the States would have the same information. I guess a
lot of younger people want to go to Europe, since they like the Film Industry
viewpoint of Europe today, but Europe like a lot of other parts of the world has
its problems too, and frequently one is not as well received, as one would be
expected to. Currently with the war on in Iraq, citizens of the
United States of America are supposedly not as well received, when they travel
overseas, so we just stay home, and we manage to get by. Since I do
not live in a very urban environment, I do not share the same viewpoints of my
urban neighbors, and I tend to reflect the viewpoint of my older more
experienced retired neighbors. At my age, I do not need to be facing many
new challenges, and I enjoy a simple ordinary daily routine, compared to the
more hectic urban pace many of my neighboring commuters face. Since
their jobs are usually only relevant to them, we frequently do not have much in
common with our working neighbors who face other responsibilities.
Still we manage to stay in touch with anyone whom might contact us, but everyone
I chat with seems to be so busy so much of the time, they all seem to be on a
tread mill. However, as energy for transportation becomes more
precious here in America, fewer people will be able to continue their pace on
their current tread mill. A lot of people think because they keep
busy moving around, they are accomplishing something, when in effect all they
are doing is moving around in circles. Good night. CIO

3:50 A.M.: Not much happening in the email
department. I remember as far as big rocks are concerned in relation
to the
asteroid collided with the earth 65 million years ago
Earth
Collisions Asteroids Comets Meteors supposedly causing the extinction of the
dinosaurs, so possibly they might hold some interesting clues or whatever else
is to be found there in Decatur, Alabama or that area in terms of that event.
Of course nobody ever listens to me. For all I know
Stone Mountain Park: Georgia theme
park in Atlanta might be part of that asteroid, which I wrote last night.
Possibly I found out when I was living in Greenville, South Carolina back from
January to July 1976, when I returned to Greenwich to review the Tall Ships in
Manhattan with Queen Elizabeth II and a few other friends, one of our mutual
family friends in Greenville, South Carolina had a son that worked in the
electrical engineering department at Daniel Construction now part of
www.fluor.com in Irvine, Texas where
www.exxon.com manages to struggle on away
from its New York roots. I was invited by the son of the friend of
the family to go on a hike in the nearby mountains. I was very agile
and thin then, and the son of the friend of the family had graduated from school
in Switzerland where he did some Mountain Climbing. He brought along
his dog, which I think might have been some sort of Nordic dog, and he strapped
it to his back pack, and he took me to a large rock like Stone Mountain, and it
was called Caesar's head. We climbed the near vertical incline up
the side of Caesar's head, which I think might have been over 500 feet not using
any ropes, just grabbing on to the cracks in then rock, and I recall the dog was
happy to get to the top. Once at the top, we walked down the path
leading which was a less sharp incline. So at one time I was more
agile. I guess it was from the years of walking that kept me more agile.
Well, anyway maybe Caesar's head is also part of the same asteroid event that
hit the Yucatan 65 million years ago. It is sort of like "Zeus'
Marbles". Technically a big asteroid could have skipped across the
planet for some distance and fragmented. Of course the local
authorities say it is just the remains of the glacier. However, I
obviously live around a lot of glacier remains in this area, and other than the
butte on the North Side of New Haven, Connecticut, I have not seen that many
unusual rock formations. It is just mostly worn down hills and
mountains. There is another area down south called Rock City, so
possibly they might have some unusual formations, but it is hard to tell the
difference between conventional wisdom and what modern technology might yield.
However, even the Parthenon in Greece is on an usual butte of sorts. I
think a butte is sort of an island left behind after a large period of flooding
when the waters receded. If they ever found the petrified dinosaur
eggs from the Decatur, Alabama area, carbon dating them might yield some
information. Of course technically they could have been stashed
there by a traveler from another part of the world. The Decatur,
Alabama area has a lot of red clay soil such as used in bricks, so the area is
unusual, but the statue of Vulcan in Birmingham, Alabama obviously shows that
they know how to make steel there. Therefore the Red Clay might be
red since it has iron in it, and possibly the iron in the clay came from some
asteroid or other celestial event. I ate two scoops of butter pecan ice
cream. CIO

1:45 A.M.: I chatted with a relative. I went out after the
last note. I went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought two 3 liter Capatriti
extra virgin olive oil containers for $9.99 each down from $22 each, and they
only had one more left. I also bought green bananas at .54 a pound
for $1.48 for $21.46 total. I then went downtown, but
Greenwich Avenue was blocked off because the Department of Public Works was
clearing off the piled off snow off Greenwich Avenue, so I parked at the
Wachovia Bank parking lot on Benedict Places. There were a few dozen
trucks and front end loaders and other heavy equipment removing all the piled up
snow from Greenwich Avenue with their usual expert efficiency.
Unfortunately they have not had much practice this year, but they will be ready
in case we get another late season snow fall. Thus it will be a
little bit safer navigating around Greenwich Avenue for the last agile
population. I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the
train station area. Not much happening except heavy equipment.
I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road, Yes the Lights are still
working out on Long Island, so I presume they have electricity out there unless
they have gotten cheaper and are using their old whale oil lanterns. I
then returned home. It seems a bit cool in the apartment now, and
the inside temperature is down to 73.2 degrees in the living room, but it is a
more even temperature with the electric heat being blown around with the
Honeywell Tower fan. I will now go through my email. CIO

03/20/07 Tuesday
8:45 P.M.: I shut down the Epox server, and I disconnected it, and I have
it opened up and ready to install the new memory. It will have 1.5
gigabytes of memory in it, once it is installed. I currently owe
www.newegg.com $228.95, so next month when I
pay my bills, I will be as short on money as this month. I
remembered when I worked on the garage apartment out in Plandome Manor, Long
Island, I installed a separate circuit breaker electrical box in the kitchen
area with the garage apartment electricity connected to it. However, it
had to be connected to the primary circuit breaker box in the basement or the
primary house. I ran a heavy duty electrical cable between the two
fuse boxes which ran underneath the garage apartment bathroom sub floor, however
the primary circuit break box in the basement of the main house had no way to
turn it off the electricity from the utility line feed from outside.
I thus installed I think it was a 50 AMP circuit breaker in the basement circuit
breaker box, and then carefully connected the ground and two wires from the
garage apartment into the basement circuit breaker box while it was still
electrified which was a bit dangerous, but I was able to tighten the 50 AMP
circuit breaker clamp down screws with a heavy insulated screw driver, so I was
not electrocuted. They did not want to pay for a professional
electrician. However, if one nailed into the garage apartment sub
floor or possibly the kitchen floor at the wrong place, one might hit that heavy
electrical cable. Possibly I ran the cable along the adjacent garage
apartment kitchen wall, but I can not remember. There was not much closet
space in the garage apartment. There was a small closet in the bedroom,
and a deeper one in the living room, and a kitchen pantry closet. However,
the southern facing windows on the garage apartment opened on to the garden, and
there was quite a bit of light that came in through the old garage apartment
windows. However, from the outside, it did not look like anything
had changed except for the new door on the back side of the garage. I
matched the stucco as best as I could on the exterior garage apartment bathroom
wall, and I probably used another 10 bags of Sacrete on that wall. I also
put about four 50 pound pails of plaster on the primary area ceiling sheet rock,
since it was uneven with a rough plaster finish. I do not recall
whether I put additional sheet rock nails in the ceiling sheet rock to hold the
extra weight of the rough plaster, but more than likely I might have. If
the ceiling has not fallen down in 24 years, more than likely it is all right.
J.B. was suppose to help me on the project, but the only thing he actually did
was come up with the floor plan, and he also painted the old pair of glass doors
on the living room kitchen partition Chinese Fire Engine Red. The glass
doors had originally separated the primary house living room and dining room.
J.B. was also able to get the funding from his grandmother Vivian. I
recall, I bought a 12 inch wide by 12 foot long by 1.5 inch thick plank of oak
that I cut into an 8 foot by 4 foot section with a 45 degree angle for the L
shaped kitchen eating area along the wall. It was a simple
apartment, but it took quite a bit of time to get done. I went to
Norway, because I was tired of people trying to have me work on projects outside
of my skill level, when I was much better trained in a professional field such
as economics and computers. I recall using the Reader's Digest
www.rd.com
Home Improvement Book to see how to complete the project. We
purchased most of the supplies from the Rickels Home Improvement store in Glen
Cove on Northern Boulevard, the Sears Clearance Section in Hempstead, and the
Port Washington lumber yard and of course the Wright Brother's Hardware store.
J.B. did not want to pay for a professional trim cutting tool, so we used a
cheap $5 trim cutting box, so the trim was not cut to exact angles. I
fixed the imperfections with putty. About 6:30 P.M. the new memory
arrived, and I put it in the Epox server. It works just fine.
I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will eat the same meal as last
night, and then I will shower and clean up and go out. CIO

It is quite a bit warmer in the apartment today with the warmer weather today
currently 42 degrees Fahrenheit

but this time of year, the sun starts to shine into the apartment windows in the
late afternoon, so on a sunny day, one gets the green house effect, and it is

the same temperature in the sun, so it is warmer in the apartment until after
the sun goes down. It fools one into thinking it is a warm day

is the world's most popular brand name. That Hebrew town west of

United States Merchant Marine Academy for
any of you sea hogs in the area at Kings Point, Long Island, and it also happens
to be located on 300 Steamboat Road, which in Greenwich, Connecticut would be
about where the Greenwich Train Station is. Alas since reading a few sea
novels at the Carnegie Library in Decatur, Alabama which was named after Stephen
Decatur who fought the Barberry Pirates of North Africa, so it had a few sea
novels, I decided it was not worth risking going to sea, because all sea
adventures seem to end in disaster. I did once tour the small Stephen
Decatur Naval Museum near Lafayette Square in Washington D.C., and they seem to
be amused to have a visitor, since they never seemed to get many visitors.
I guess the pirates got the rest of them. If I am in the military, I
must be in some sort of communist military, because I do not ever recall
receiving a pay check except from the Languedoc retaurant in Nantucket which was
owned by someone retired from the
www.af.mil ,
so technically I would be a U.S. Air Force Dish Washer, which never paid much
money. Of course if they wanted me throw away the paper cups and plastic
plates on Air Force One, technically I might not be scared to fly, since I was
flying around in air planes, before I learned to ride a bicycle. Alas I
never learned how to fly one. With the two 555 seat Air Buses, one could
take the seats out, and fill them with some sort of useful cargo like medical
supplies that they might need elsewhere to distribute out of Europe, but a
relative told me they need a much thicker runway to land on, which most of the
runways in America are not thick enough to handle. However, I know
the Germans are good at building thick roads, so maybe they would be good at
building thick runways. Something that heavy landing on a piece of
concrete might break it. For customers with a long way to fly with a
lot of passengers on a regular route with thick runways
Airbus A380
Aircraft Family - The A380 . There is even one wealthy middle
eastern sheik having a private one built for himself. I hope they don't
serve their passengers cinnamon. I think the Air Bus flies by wire which
means by electronics and computers, so I do not know whether it has hydraulics
or not. What bothers me in looking at this
Aircraft Family - A380 Specifications is the maximum take off weight is 560
tons, and the maximum landing weight is 386 tons, so that means if the plane
took off and had to land in an emergency, they would have to ditch 560 minus 386
equals 174 tons of fuel less take off consumption, which might take a while.
Of course I am sure they have figured that out into their engineering.
It does look appealing to me, since it has four engines which I consider safer
than
Boeing:
Commercial Airplanes - 787 Home which seems to only have two engines.
I worry about a jet with only two engines, if one fails on take off, it might
not get off the ground. However, this old model
Boeing:
Commercial Airplanes - 747 Home does have four engines. This was
always my favorite
Factsheets : B-52 Stratofortress : B-52 Stratofortress because it had eight
engines, and they were sure to deliver. Of course they are more costly to
operate, unless you happen to be a Super Power with bucks to burn. CIO

5:55 A.M.: Thus my last regular job on the mainland before I returned from
living out on Nantucket was working for a family affiliated with the German
Government for over a hundred years and also affiliated with the United States
Department depending on Domestic politics and also whom have a more recent
connections with China. I already had strong Chinese connections
before I met them, since I grew up around Claire Channault's people down south
in Florida and Alabama. We use to have a Chinese neighbor in Alabama
that taught piano lessons. I also went to the Taft School
The Taft School with a few prominent
Chinese Americans. We were Ambassador Bush's family's neighbors here
in Greenwich, Connecticut when he was the first U.S. Ambassador to China.
I left

www.columbia.edu and Fred was reading 600
year old books in Chinese, I presume from the Morgan Library
The Morgan Library & Museum, New York,
founded by Pierpont Morgan or the Kress Collection
Samuel H. Kress Foundation
. Maybe Fred Von Mieres is Frederick W. Beinecke
Frederick Beinecke Profile - Forbes.com , but that might be stretching the
matter, but they also have a collection at
Beinecke Library --
Beinecke Guide (Western) , and they also are famous in the 1970s for buying
up the waterfront in Nantucket. I think they also have a nice house
here in Greenwich, and I used to collect S&H green stamps. I also found
the missing Ming vase in the Lanqueduc Cabana in Nantucket which was missing
from the desk at the Jared Coffin House across the street. One of the
first Chinese computer people I dealt with in home computer parts was Ming up in
Hamden, Connecticut at
www.hmcomp.com .
Other Chinese connections are that somebody that looked like Mao Zedong and
Margaret Thatcher once showed up at the same time in the same pub in Greenwich
Village in the 1970s when they were stopping over in Manhattan when traveling
elsewhere. Also J.B.'s youngest sister married a Chinese silk
merchant, and she has worked for China airlines since 1982.
www.lfc.edu had a Chinese physicist name Dr.
Jung whom developed holography. I have a Chinese neighbor who teaches at
www.yale.edu when he has transportation, and
he supposedly has a PHD in computers from
University of Oxford . Of course, for all I know Jimmy Eldert
might be Chinese too, but he has not figured it out yet, since he travels so
much. Of course back in Alabama around 1957, we got interested in
China, when I started digging a hole in our front yard to plant a tree, and all
of our neighbors said I was digging a hole to China. Well nearby we did
find petrified dinosaur eggs in the Walter Jackson Elementary School ditch on
the southwest side of the play ground near where the Chinese piano teacher lived
near the small pine forest. A petrified dinosaur egg as I recall is about
the size of an American football, but not as long, and considerably heavier.
As I recall we found a couple dozen of them, but we broke about half of them in
half with other ones to look at the yellow petrified yokes. CIO

5:00 A.M.: I also put a double layer of 5/8th inch thick sheet rock on the
outer inside apartment walls to keep it warmer. I recall I did not use the
old rusted iron pipes leading to the garage through the solid block of concrete.
I ran new copper pipes from the basement through the bathroom sub floor into the
bathroom and the kitchen area. I was able to find a 5 inch PCV
adapter to thread into the existing sewer connection in the basement for the
sewage pipe to lead into instead of a cast iron pipe and lead seal.
The PCV pipes should hold, and I used plumbers cement on the 5 inch PCV adapter
into the sewer pipe. Hopefully they never got any sewer gas in the
basement. I recall the previous owner of the house in the 1930s was
a German puppet maker or marionette maker. That is a wood doll on
strings. I saw a lot of people in the area that looked German, but
Manhasset was founded by the Dutch and had a Dutch Reform church, so there could
have been Dutch in the area. There was even a Harlem Savings Bank
named after Harlem in the Netherlands. One of the last things I did was
plant tulip bulbs, so since it was late in the season, I was surprised they came
up the following spring. I use La Paz pebbles on the sidewalk
surface which is similar to the aggregate around the Waldorf Astoria in
Manhattan, so hopefully the current residents never slipped on the sidewalk.
Possibly they wore off over time. J.B. had the terracotta tile taken off
the bedroom room and replaced with asphalt, since it was to expensive to replace
the terracotta tile. I think the primary garage of living room and
kitchen space also had a terracotta roof as did the main house, and that was a
lot of weight on the garage. Also I cut a vent in the end of the garage
attic for ventilation in the summer, and I put a box ban up there, since they
could not afford a regular attic exhaust fan. I installed a small door on
it that one could close in the winter to keep the place warmer, but it was hard
getting into the attic since there was not enough room in the ceiling joists to
put in a folding attic stairs, one had to climb up on a ladder through a trap
door, which I as able to do back in 1983. Since I was working that
entire period except a day off at Christmas, I did not know much of what else
was going on in the world. That following spring, after going to Norway,
where they had six feet of snow on the ground when I arrived a couple of weeks
before St. Patrick's Day, which somehow melted in a few days while I was there,
I stopped by to visit the garage apartment briefly and see J.B. before I
returned to Nantucket for my last summer as a dishwasher. In December I
moved back to Greenwich, Connecticut after leaving Nantucket and visiting
Toronto, Canada. I knew my other friend out there in Sands Point, Long
Island was living out there, but I did not call him for a couple of years, until
I became accustomed to this area again. When I first moved back
here, and I did not have a car, and I got use to walking downtown, there was a
whole fleet of black SAAB sedans moving around this area all of the time.
Of course as I have mentioned before that first Christmas back in Greenwich,
Connecticut, I was able to buy a package of Camel cigarettes at the Chinese
restaurant next to the Y.M.C.A., and I ate a Turkey Croissant at Rue De
Croissant across from the Greenwich Train station which until recently was run
by a family from Argentina, and I saw Cliff Robertson and Dina Merrill
there whom I had last seen down in Key West back in the winter of 1978, before I
met J.B. when they were having cocktails at the Fogarty House, because I guess
it was too cold in Palm Beach. Back then they were about the only people
down there that seem familiar with Florida versus the tourist perspective.
Michael the bartender at the Fogarty house was also the bartender at the
Languedoc in that period, so I think they got their Michaels mixed up.
Just like I was suppose to know the Grannis family from Lake Forest, Illinois in
Nantucket, and I ended up working for the Grennons from Concorde, Massachusetts
and Stowe, Vermont. CIO

4:15 A.M.: I recall using over 50 fifty pound bags of Secrete concrete mix
to build the foundation wall for the garage apartment bathroom, the foundation
wall for the north wall of the garage that the old garage door sits on that was
caulked and filling in the gaps around the 4" by 4" inch pressure treated base
sill of the garage apartment that the studs sat on, and at some points where the
exterior wood was eaten away by termites, underneath the outside stucco which
was about the only think holding up the garage, I also filled it in with
concrete. I think I used another 25 bags or more of Secrete concrete
to construct the entrance stairs, and the small side walk leading of the smaller
side walk around the back side of the house. I can not do anything about
the noise from the commuter train, but time might fix that, since there is an
old wooden railroad trestle on the west side of Manhasset leading towards the
next town west over a valley, and since it was built in the late 19th Century,
some day it might need to be replaced. However, I do not think many
of the commuters notice it in their daily rides. My Uncle from Texas
and my recently diseased Aunt lived in the next town west during World War II,
when he was in the Merchant Marine. J.B. said that town was all Hebrew
people, but I do not think my Aunt and Uncle were Hebrew. CIO

I am wandering whether I should bother running it anymore, and just leave the

stats
Summary (Michael Louis Scott's web site) under
Recent Visitor Activity [Michael Louis Scott's web site] that a couple of
people looked at this old web page
Rope, Hemp, Cannibis, Marijuna in North America Expose . I can
assure you I do not smoke hemp or marijuana. If you looked at my
over 10,000 pages of information and web logs on my server, it is obvious that I
have been keeping busy with my volunteer activity for the last 11 years or so
that I have been on the internet. Possibly someone is interested in
getting rope for a large boat. My research on the subject was
sketchy, and I am not a botanist. I have a friend that is more of an
expert on botany, but alas he has been quite scarce for the last few years, so
possibly he is busy with other matters. He is known my the nickname J.B.,
but alas he last showed up here with Virginia license plates on his car, and
since his father worked for the United States government state department, I
figured he probably got a job in government, so he does not like chatting with
unemployed civilians anymore. Whatever, the case, I am sure there are some
Chinese keeping an eye on him, because of his family's Chinese connections,
where ever he might be. There are 50 million Chinese living outside
of China, so unlike the U.S. Government Intelligence agencies with about 50
thousand people, the Chinese frequently know more, they just never tell anyone
anything, since by the forces of numbers they see more around the world.
J.B.'s maternal grandfather was a Canadian geologist that explored North America
for the oil companies in the old days, so he knew quite a bit about geology and
the layout of North America. His maternal grandmother's family owned John
G. Simmons insurance company that insured the oil refineries in the New York
area, and they lived in a neighborhood out in Plandome Manor, Long Island, New
York, where there was a Getty gasoline station nearby in Manhasset, Long Island,
his maternal grandmother's family the West family were the first United States
ambassadors to Saudi Arabia, so the Arab Sheiks use to visit Plandome Manor in
the late 1940s, and possibly even the Getty family might have had a home out
there. The Plandome Manor area looks sort of like the Millbrook area of
Greenwich, Connecticut, but Plandome Manor only has a train station the second
to the last stop on the Port Washington line of the Long Island railroad with a
small post office. Since his maternal great grandmother's family
were part of the Kaiser of Germany's consular staff in Manhattan before World
War I, I built the garage apartment interior renovation, but I tried to treat
the place like an embassy trying to regard any historical details that might
have been intact in the house. John was most proud of the Japanese Maple?
version of the tree that blooms in North America at Easter time with the four
white petals with the red cross formed on the white petals. They
were also very common in the American version down south. We did cut
off a section of the old apple tree which was rotten, but half of it was still
growing. I advised them not to get rid of the old oil furnace, since it
seemed to be a classic well made machine if properly maintained. It put
out so much heat the basement was always warm, and I put a fan in the canning
room in the basement adjacent to the garage apartment vent, to blow the heat
from the basement into the garage apartment. Knowing Vivian
vacationed in Tobago, and knowing that I met J.B. down in Key West, I figured
they wanted the garage apartment to be warm. I put a foot of
insulation on the north wall of the garage apartment building it out into the
interior. I put a foot of pink Owens Corning insulation also in the
attic. I put 2 inch thick Styrofoam underneath floor in between the
joists. I put regular 3.5 inch thick insulation around the
rest of the walls. I caulked all of the air leaks around the old
garage with 20 year guaranteed caulk. I also put storm windows on
the door and the windows. The garage also had a 25 foot long heavy
cast iron steam radiator, which I partially covered with a shelf with
ventilation around it. I also found a new bleeder valve for it at
Wright Brother's Hardware store in Manhasset, Long Island, so if the garage
apartment is still intact, it should be a very warm 500 square foot garage
apartment for someone from a warmer climate. The former father was also
stationed in Thailand, so obviously he knew other people from warmer parts of
the world. I also put a six foot long electric base board heater in
the bedroom. There was a through the wall air conditioner from Sears.
The only problem with the apartment that I knew was they were on a limited
budget, so they would not let me put in water proof plywood on the apartment
floor before the carpet was laid, except in the bathroom and possibly the
kitchen area, so if the composite flooring on the main living room and bedroom
floor got wet, it might deteriorate very fast. However, I
anticipated that problem, so when I installed the base boards and molding, I
left them about 5/8 inch above the floor, so the composite wood could easily
removed and replaced with water proof plywood. I think the flooring was
tacked down with wood screws too. Also when I took down the old
plaster, I put in new termite proof pressure treated 4 inch by 4 inch footings
around the exterior of the building connecting them to the 2" by 4" studs with
angle irons, and also parts of the base of the studs had to be replaced because
of termite damage, so if the apartment roof settled anymore, it would be on a
firm foundation. I also added cement to fill any voids along the
footings. The house obviously had major termite damage in the garage, but
I am not sure about the main part of the house. The garage
roof was bowed in from where the garage had settled from the termite damage and
the constant vibration from the commuter train over the years. I installed
a natural gas stove with a large tank outside to feed it, but they later took it
out because, the natural gas tank made them feel uncomfortable. I
also installed the heavier gauge wiring I think 10 instead of 14 or vice a
versa. Basically I was paid about $8,000 or $1.15 an hour for the
work back in 1982 from April 1982 to February 1983, when I tried to move to
Norway with my earnings. I was in such pain with my arthritis, I was
taking 8 to 10 Tylenol arthritis pain pills a day to do the work. So if
you divide 8000 by 1.15 equals about 7000 hour work. I still have
the time slips that I kept track of. However, since they were family
friends, and since I had stayed in the daughters apartment in Manhattan for
about a year and a half, I was also doing it to pay them back. However,
having done it, I lost all interest in construction, because it was too painful
for me personally with arthritis. There is also low water pressure
in the kitchen, since the cast iron pipes through the solid poured concrete
foundation underneath the powder room downstairs that they the kitchen water was
connected to had very low water pressure because they were rusted. I
sometimes thought there might be an old vintage Mercedes hidden in the maid room
bathroom foundation. It did not make sense why somebody would pour
such a large solid foundation of about 5 foot by 10 foot and four to six feet
deep, unless something was hidden in it. However, possibly it was to
reduce vibration from the commuter trains, which one does not notice after time.
What the resident of the house never seemed to notice was how many thousands of
people got off the train there, and loitered around the train station until the
returned train came by on its return. I even recall reading the
local paper out there that a member of the Kennedy family was married out there
while I was working out there. I do not recall which one, because there
are so many of them. CIO

12:50 A.M.: Now that the Chinese have money after all of these
years, I was wandering if those old Chinese railroad bonds that everyone use to
have in the old days are now worth any money. I went out after the last
note. I helped a neighbor get her car started which barely started
without a jump start, and then I rocked it a bit to get it unstuck out of the
ice and snow, and then I parked it in the adjacent cleared parking space.
I chatted with another neighbor. I then went downtown, and I stopped by
the ATM machine at the Greenwich Avenue branch of Putnam Trust Bank of New York,
and I deposited the $15 PNY memory rebate check, and then I walked the entire
length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I walked by
the Lexus dealership, and I viewed the bright red
Lexus IS | Overview 250 that they
had in their showroom window. It looks quite sporty, and it looks
like a very practical car. The Lexus dealership maintenance garage
here is opened 24 hours a day on weekdays, since they do a lot of leasing work.
The Greenwich train station is warm and comfortable when it is opened.
They were having another small peace demonstration in front of the Greenwich
Post Office with about 24 people attending. I stopped by CVS, and I bought
a 16 ounce jar of lightly salted dry roasted CVS peanuts for $1.99. I sat
on the bench across the street from the Gingerman restaurant, and I ate about
1/6th of the peanuts. I then completed my walk, and I sat out for a
while. I then used the bathroom at Starbucks. I told
them about there being a Starbucks at the Forbidden Palace in Peking, China.
I think the Forbidden Palace has 9,999 rooms, so they must have run short on
money to make it an even 10,000, so I guess one could considered the adjacent
Starbucks, the 10,000th room. I next drove down by the waterfront,
and I viewed the cold damp view of Long Island Sound this time of year.
The lights still seem to be on out on Long Island. I then went by
the Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon gasoline station, and I bought $9 self
service premium gasoline for $3.139 a gallon for 38.2 miles driving in the last
nine days at an average of 13.4 miles per gallon driving an average of 11 miles
per hour. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I chatted with
somebody from Corsica and another person from Jamaica. I bought a
six pack of boneless breasts of chicken for $1.69 a pound for $5.36 and two
Chiquita bananas for .54 a pound for .42 for $5.78 total. I
then returned home, and I chatted with a relative. I was out of
seasoned bread crumbs, so I took a four ounce tube of Ritz premium crackers, and
I threw them in the Cuisine Art with a generous amount of Old Bay Seasoning,
garlic powder, chicken and meat seasoning, ground black pepper, and Oregano, and
I ground them into bread crumbs, and I put them in the 4C seasoned bread crumb
container.
I opened up the package of six boneless chicken breasts, and I put four of them
in a large flat Rubbermaid container. I then rinsed off the other
two in cold water, and I dried them with a paper towel. I then put a
thin coat of olive oil in a Pyrex pie dish, and on a separate plate, I rubbed
the bottom side of the boneless chicken breasts with olive oil, and then I spread
a thick coating of Ritz seasoned bread crumbs on it, and then I did the same with
the top side and the other boneless chicken breasts. I then put them
in the Pyrex pie dish, and I baked them in the Farberware convection oven at 350
degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes. I also made up a batch of
http://www.geocities.com/mikelscott/mlsrice.htm to which I also added two
teaspoons of Kikkoman soy sauce and Old Bay Seasoning and chicken bullion
seasoning. I ate half, and I put the other half in a Rubbermaid container
in the refrigerator. I also steamed in a three quart Revere pot with
steamer tray and lid about 1.5 cups of baby carrots and broccoli spears for 15
minutes on medium high electric burner heat, I ate it all with a glass of
iced tea. CIO

4:20 A.M.: I was just thinking maybe the United States of America
government if it is able to win the war with Iraq will then invade Turkey and
then invade up into Russia where nobody will notice, since it is such a big
country. It is hard to tell what is going on with the war, since not
much news is being reported back here. I guess the news
organizations can not afford to maintain news coverage of the war anymore.
Of course, my local Cablevision channel might be programmed with children's
programming, since mostly children watch television around here.
Last night I noticed a truck moving someone in or out of my old building area on
the waterfront, so possibly we have new neighbors in that neighborhood.
There are still a lot of people around here, but on a night time schedule there
are not many people around, since there are not many ways to make money at
night. Thus most of the daytime people are out, since they like to
make contacts to make money. Unfortunately, I have always been a night
owl, so I have a different perspective than the daytime people.
Whatever, really goes on around here, probably revolves more around the daytime
people, since they are making the local communities polices and strategies.
From what I can tell, as I have said before, about half the town's population is
under 16 years old, and they tend to keep the older generation busy maintaining
the town, so the younger generation can watch children's television programming.
Basically, not much ever happens in the suburbs, since people spend so much time
going back and forth into Manhattan, that by the time they get out here, all
they seem to do is disappear into the wood work. CIO

2:35 A.M.: I watched the last hour of a program on
www.fox.com about Winston Churchill.
At the end of the program, they mentioned he was half American, since his mother
was Jenny Randolph from Virginia. Perhaps, since the Scott's are an old
Virginia family, maybe the Randolphs are related to the Scotts and thus the
Scotts are distantly related to Winston Churchill. One of his most
memorable lines were "Never Give In !" . I think it was last summer
or a couple of summers ago, I met a young fellow on the waterfront on Steamboat
Road from England wearing a New York Yankee's baseball jacket. He
was taking pictures with a digital camera, and I drove him around the waterfront
in Greenwich out to Tod's Point, and then I showed him the Greenwich Country
Club
http://www.geocities.com/mike2scott2006/Greenwich-Country-Club.jpg where
there is suppose to be a golf trophy dedicated to Queen Victoria. I
have a book here on Winston Churchill, but at the moment I do not have the time
to read it. From my perspective, the country is in relatively good
shape. We still have plenty of food here in America, if you can
afford it. We still manage to drive our cars around occasionally despite
the higher prices of petrol. We still are able to keep the lights
on, and the basic services seem to be still maintained. Of course
here in America, we are never in a rush, since old time Americans have been here
so long, we never think in terms of going elsewhere or even moving elsewhere,
but we are aware of our friends and allies elsewhere in the world, and perhaps
they have come here so often, they seem to forget about us, whom have been here
for so many years. Since my branch of the Scott family seems to have
physically larger people or whom I am one of the smaller ones, I enjoy seeing
the new European arrivals whom are more my size compared to the rather large
Americans in the middle of the country whom never think about going anywhere.
Having seen about half of the United States of America and parts of Eastern
Canada, I am well aware of how large a country and area North America is.
We have ample resources to survive here for an indefinite time if the country is
well managed, and with higher prices of fuel, we simply have to manage our
inventories and means of production better, so hopefully we will continue our
relatively high standard of living compared to other world economies.
I am sure there are still substantial people whom have a whole ham, roast beef,
baked chicken or turkey, leg of lamb, or some other nutritious meal every day,
but frequently physically bigger people are not seen walking around the fashion
street of Greenwich Avenue. Still judging by the grocery stores, there are
still some large people somewhere that eat a lot of food here in America.
Since I am on the low income level of this rather wealthy town, I do not always
reflect the reality of the others around me. However, from what I
can tell, some of the local citizens have such large comfortable homes, they
never leave the comfort of their homes to see what their neighbors are up to, so
from their comfortable points of view, the town pretty much remains the same.
However, since they have economic influence, as the prices of certain fixed
items that they consume go up, they just simply raise the price of the goods and
services that they provide within the community. It is not like the
good old days of "Wage and Price Controls", when Richard Nixon was President.
I would imagine a few people here might be a little poorer in the immediate
future when they have to start paying their Federal Taxes to the Internal
Revenue Service
Internal Revenue Service .
Well, from what I know from the internet, the local business community seems to
be prospering so much, they are always away traveling on vacation, and it would
seem to me, if they spent more time working here, the local business community
would be even more prosperous. CIO

Basically Fred was a fairly well organized individual with all of the activities
he pursued, so more than likely if he were still alive, he would still be fairly
well organized. Since he worked in the more creative field, being
organized was relevant to his creativity. Whatever the case, I
suppose since he had seen some of the more conservative homes in the New York
area, he knew how the "Old Guard" lived, and since his godmother Helen Kress
Williams was one of the primary patrons of the New York Antique show at the Park
Avenue Armory, more than likely whatever he managed to accomplish in the
decorating business included antiques, before he joined the "New Age".
From what I can tell, Helen also lectured to the Colonial Williamsburg Society
with Fred in tow, so more than likely some cousins down in Virginia, or that
area have tried to replicate some historical residences. When I visited
the area in 1964, I particularly like the old Brick House on the James River or
Potomac River, called "Carter Hall", or it was similar to Carter Hall.
Of course Mrs. Barclay might remember what houses she showed us. Of
course back in the old days, it was cheaper to maintain a large house
particularly if it were in a rural area. CIO

Smart Computing Encyclopedia Entry - Charles Babbage . There use to be
a Babbage's software store at the Stamford, Connecticut mall, so there might be
some computer people over there. For the first year in Connecticut
back in 1961, we lived in Stamford, Connecticut for a year before we moved to
Greenwich, Connecticut in 1962. We use to drive to car pool to
school in Greenwich with a British family whom owned grey Chevrolet Corvair,
while our family owned a turquoise 1959 Nash Rambler, so we were not very
upscale by Greenwich, Connecticut standards, when we build a house in Baldwin
Farms North off Round Hill Road for $50,000. However, the new house did
have central air conditioning which was uncommon in Connecticut at the time.
The British family had their own computer software company called "Online
Decisions" which had offices at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Thus before
invading the IBM territory in Greenwich, we knew some computer people, and I
would imagine in Decatur, Alabama before Connecticut with
www.nasa.gov nearby in Huntsville, Alabama, we
might have been around a few computer pioneers. The reason so much
high technology was in Alabama at the time was Senator John Sparkman from
Alabama was the senior senator on the U.S. Senate defense committee, so he
obviously put some Pentagon spending in Alabama. Alas, after all of
these years of high technology, we might have seen some improvement around here
in the government funding area. About all I hear about in terms of
local companies in Greenwich, Connecticut area from the past is Pitney Bowes and
Electrolux. A relative today whom is retired in Florida, claims the
Electrolux service person from Stewart, Florida charged $165 for tampering with
an Electrolux vacuum cleaner that did not have much suction, and the problem
turned out it needed a new bag, which the service person did not replace.
I know Pitney Bowes used to make microfilm reading machinery in World War II.

1:10 P.M.: I installed the updates after the last message, but I
could not get the Vista Complete PC backup to work from the first hard drive to

hacked, so I restored the backup from March 5, 2007 from the Bytecc external
hard drive. I then had to make a few changes in my startup by
running "msconfig" . I restored the few changed files, but the
backup from the first hard drive to the second hard drive would not work.
It was like the system might have been being hacked. I had turned
off the cable modem earlier. I disconnected the USB cable from the Samsung
all purpose machine, and I disconnected the cable TV connections to the
computer. I also turned off the wireless headsets. I
still was not able to get the Vista Complete PC backup from the first hard drive
to the second hard drive. I finally disabled the caching on the hard
drives, and I disabled the screen saver, and I was able to get the Vista

I chatted with a relative earlier in the evening. While letting the
backups run and the restore, I watched the movie "Patton" . About 4

backup that finally worked. I woke up at noon, when DHL delivered

I went outside, and I put the last 1.25 quarts of Mobil 5000 Clean motor oil in
my car, so it is a little bit over full. The car is a high
compression engine, so it uses a bit of motor oil. I will have to
buy more at the first of the month. I put about a pint of antifreeze
in the overflow container. I chatted with some neighbors.
I noticed somebody had driven on the hill out behind the family units leaving
tire tracks. It must have been a large four wheel drive vehicle.
One of my neighbor's children told me that someone keeps a pet baboon here in

appointment at the Greenwich Hospital outpatient clinic. I had my
teeth cleaned. I have an appointment this Thursday afternoon to have

I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought a 1.75 quart Edy's sugar free
butter pecan ice cream for $2.50 and a 1.75 quart Edy's sugar free fudge tracks
ice cream for $2.50 and bananas for .54 a pound for $1.13 for $6.13 total.
I then gave a neighbor and another store employee a ride. I dropped the
other store employee at Dunkin Donuts, and I dropped my neighbor off at my
building. I brought up the mail. I put about four quarts
of water in a 6 quart Revere pot with a teaspoon of olive oil and a few dashes

Georgio spaghetti noodles, and I boiled them 8 minutes. I then
drained them in a colander over another pot, and I put half the noodles on a
dinner plate, and the other half in a Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator.
I dumped the hot water down the bathroom sink to clean out any shaving scum.
While doing that I put half of a 26 ounce jar of Francesco Rinaldi tomato
marinara sauce in microwave pot with lid, and I heated it on three vegetable

then put a couple of tablespoons of olive oil with a few pads of margarine in a
10 inch stick proof frying pan, and I heated it on medium high electric burner
heat, and I added a 7 ounce package of Jone's breakfast sausages and reduced it
to medium electric burner heat. I sautéed them for 10 minutes
turning them occasionally. I then removed the sausages from the
skillet, and I drained half the fat off in a grease jar that I keep in the
refrigerator, and I put the pan back on the burner on medium electric burner
heat, and I added the egg mixture. Once the eggs were half cooked, I added
the sausages back into the skillet, and I mixed the scrambled eggs and sausages
together, until they cooked about medium soft. I also toasted two
English muffin halves, and I put a little bit of olive oil on them.

members of the Grant family still around up north, and more than likely they
still have other friends. Of course my friend Bob in Danbury, Connecticut
never gave me his last name, but he has the Lee family look. He told
me he was an X-ray technician at the Greenwich Hospital. Of course there
is a young tall skinny man walking around occasionally, and nobody ever seems to
see him but me occasionally, and he once told me he could shoot the hair off the
back of a dog. I tended to believe him, since I had gone to school
in Illinois. The only problem with sharp shooters from Illinois, the
terrain in New England is not as flat and wide open, so you do not get much
practice at shooting at something two miles away. Anything over two
miles away is not worth shooting at the since the earth curves, and more than
likely you would not hit it. Of course in Rocketry that would not apply.
You would have to talk to Ricky Rocket about that. Of course living
around the waterfront here, more than likely the Sea Wolf is around, and nobody
even seems to know whom the Sea Wolf is. The last time I remember
recognizing the Sea Wolf was down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida before I returned
to Greenwich, Connecticut in December 1983. Usually when you
recognize the sea wolf the real people are around and not the imposters.
The sea wolf even looks a little bit like a wolf. CIO

2:20 A.M.: I monitored some of the television activity, and it seems
normal for this time of day. I guess the easiest way to make
money in this area is to print it up on some of the local printing presses.
It is my theory that some of the local liberal democrats when they were in power
in Washington D.C. got the real treasury department plates for printing money,
and they use the various local printing presses in this area to print their own
money which is perfect copies of the real thing, which is why they never run out
of money. Of course with today's newer bills, they might be trying
to still circulate the older type of counterfeit money. Of course the
www.fbi.gov and the
United States Department of the Treasury
constantly monitor this area, since it is a microcosm of what goes on in the
larger urban area to west of us. From what I can tell, so many
people are still moving around, at certain times for unexplained reasons, there
is a larger group of people shadowing a smaller group of people with money.
Of course this time year, when it starts to warm up, we have to watch out for
the "Irish Travelers" from Murphyville, South Carolina whom come into this area
to try to con the older retired people, and they have done that in this area for
many years. If you need any tips on them, you can always contact the
sheriff's office in Greenville, South Carolina. I once lived near
the Sheriff's office in Greenville, South Carolina, and I was also living next
door to the first Cable TV channel where it came out from Atlanta, Georgia.
Of course, one weekend when I went down to Atlanta, Georgia, I saw a large
audience of African Americans in a movie theatre watching a movie about white
people being slaughtered on meat hooks, and one of the white women looked like
Happy Rockefeller, so I decided not to go down to Atlanta, on weekends to have a
cocktail. Greenville, South Carolina had fairly good security, since
General William Westmoreland was from there, but they did not really trust me,
since I was a Yankee. Of course with the military they frequently have to
travel during time of war, so they tend not to run out of gasoline, but if they
start interfering with the civilian activity, the civilian activity that keeps
this area going and pays the government taxes will not be able to function, and
the government will not have any money to pay the military, and the military
will be a bunch of traveling hobos looking for their next hand out.
In the United States of America, there are so many well defended civilians that
if the military tried to interfere with Civilian government, they would quickly
find out the motto of the state of Florida, "In God We Trust, All Others Pay
Cash" . Since we are in the state of Connecticut, and since I am about a
100 yards from the New York border, if any north bound travelers out of the
south are still fighting the Civil War happen to bother me at this junction of
the roads, more than likely some of my other friends north and east of me along
the road for the next two hours of your highway journey might object.
The only friend I chat with in this area lives near the Bridgeport, Connecticut
state police and all I know about him is he drives a lot, and he was in the
United States Army
www.army.mil , so he
knows how to use firearms, but at his age, he is still conducting tours of
Ulysses S. Grant's house up in North Salem, New York which has a wrought iron
fence around it to keep the bears away. CIO
Note:<888>
03/12/07 Monday
12:40 A.M.: My best guess as to whom might be causing the internet
problems would be number one someone the U.S.A. is involved with in the current
problems in the Middle East; number two some of our old adversaries in previous
wars such as the Japanese, Italians, Germans, or North Koreans; number three the
Russians and Socialists whom are still cold war activists, number 4 the Irish
whom do not like me because I speak English. So your guess is as good as
my guess. I doubt if any illegal mafia or narco trafficker type
gangsters would bother me on the internet because that would expose them to
surveillance. It could also possibly be the Iranians, since when I covered
the United Nations neighborhood around Beekman Place where
http://mikelouisscott.com/fred.htm
lived, the Shah of Iran's niece lived there, and possibly they think I am some
sort of high level government agent. Also the Shah of Iran's son was
in Key West, Florida when I was there, and also the Shah of Iran's son use to
live in Fairfield, Connecticut, so he would have other associates.
Since I use to walk through the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan to warm up,
possibly the group of Koreans whom kept an eye on the hotel because General
MacArthur had lived there might be causing the problems. Possibly it
might be a group of kids whom do not like republicans around the Bush group.
The local peace activists here in Greenwich seem to be spending a lot of time
around the Asians here, which is sort of queer since most of the oil from Iraq
is going to China to fuel their new economy. Whatever the case, it
would seem to me, the British have the capability to interfer with me with their
high technology capability, but since my family has long time contacts with
them, it seems highly unlikely. However, when one is friends with
the British, their friends in the Commonwealth tend to be your friends, and also
their enemies around the world also tend to be your enemies. Alas, I
do not know that much about British politics to know what the problem is.
The most likely problem with being friends with the British is that it could be
the French or the Spanish whom do not like me confering with the British, since
they have other alliances with other countries. I do not think it
has anything to do with religion, since at the higher level of geopolitics,
there is not very much religion. From what I can tell locally here,
it would be some disgruntled old timer from around
www.ibm.com who is not able pull off dirty tricks with computers anymore
with so many people working with them around the internet. The
hacking problems seem like they might be coming from some sort of old time
hacker whom just got out of jail or whom is using older outdated methods and
cheaper equipment. I know so many tech people in this area, it is
hard to tell where it is all coming from. Since the local police
department here is not that high tech outside of this community, more than
likely it could be some home user whom thinks they know a lot, and actually they
do not. It is the nature of the internet that every IP address is
recorded in terms of internet activity, so obviously they could find out whom it
is, if they wanted to. Possibly it could be somebody accessing the
Cablevision Cable Modem service after it leaves Cablevision's offices or
somebody hacking it locally in my neighborhood. However, what would be the
purpose. Obviously the Greenwich Police only pay attention to people
with money, so obviously somebody with money might be doing it and getting away
with it. However, if it is somebody with money, they also could be
sued by the people they hacked and also by the Cablevision company. CIO

03/11/07 Sunday
11:40 P.M.: I chatted with a relative. I watched some
television. In the old days in Greenwich before the internet and the Bushs, we use to get a lot more rest, since not much was going on, and we use to
read a lot. Alas, they decided to let commercial businesses move
into town to raise taxes, and once the commercial businesses moved to town, the
town got a lot busier with people trying to conduct business all of the time.
In the old days, people had time to do a bit of gardening, and we spent a bit of
time doing maintenance ourselves. Now it seems that everyone is a
real estate speculator, and they are all trying to make money off their primary
investments in expensive real estate. Well from what I can tell,
they now have so much money, they all took off traveling, and there are not that
many people left here anymore. We just get a lot of traffic from
people moving through our town from adjacent towns. It is really
hard to tell what goes on here anymore, since there is always a different group
of people downtown from hour to hour, day to day, etc.. Of course
the people whom actually do live downtown are a small fraction of the local
people living here in town, since there is a much larger residential real estate
area in back country than the relatively small downtown area. When I
use to live in back country, I networked with other people living in back
country areas mostly to the north of us, and I did not pay much attention to the
individuals living downtown, since they seemed to be interested in other matters
that I was not interested in. Even in Manhattan, I tended to network with
people from more remote areas, instead of people from the Manhattan urban
environment. I figured England was way up north in the middle of
nowhere, so I tried to walk by the British consulate when I was in that
neighborhood, and I figured there was a chance some of them might know English,
but not many paid any attention to me in that neighborhood. Also in
the University neighborhoods where I spent time, there were a lot more people my
age, but alas the people I knew figured I lived way out in the boon docks of
Connecticut, so they never bothered to visit me here. Most people in
Manhattan are prisoners of "Rent Control" from the old days, so they never can
afford to move away, since a lot of them use to have very low rents compared to
what the modern real estate market was really worth. An associate showed
me a menu from the King Cole Room at the St. Regis Hotel around 1962, and back
then lobster soup was .85 and a Chateau Briand was about $9, and those would
have been high prices for the time. Even back in college from 1968 to 1972
out in Illinois at
www.lfc.edu "Last F**king
Chance", I remembered paying about 12 cents a gallon for home heating oil out in
Illinois. Alas with the sticker shock of recently higher energy
prices, we have all become prisoners of our own home environments where we are
spending more and more time at home. When ever we hear an airplane,
we figure it is some traveling Arab supervising their investments in the area.
There seems to be a small group of about fifty thousand people in this area that
can afford to move around constantly trying to make the area seem busy, but
where that group of people is actually from is hard to determine, and whether
they have any sort of central coordination amongst that group is hard to
determine. My best guess is they come from the area around Danbury,
Connecticut, and how they can afford to travel so much is hard to determine.
My best guess is that whatever sort of group that is interfering with my
internet activity is also causing other problems for more important people.
Thus since the Scottish have a lot of high tech associates since they are
heavily involved in communications and electricity, more than likely some of my
associates are monitoring the individuals that are causing the problems, so the
trouble makers might experience other high tech problems when they go about some
of their other activities. Cars have computers that can malfunction.
Telecommunication devices have processors that can malfunction, and even
aircraft have computers that can malfunction. Most financial
activity is controlled by computers, so some of my associates could arrange for
the trouble makers not to be ever paid, until they quit causing the problems.
Since all of this internet sabotage is causing a lot of time and money for a lot
of people, the individuals that control the price of other items such as the
price of fuel and energy might have to keep raising the price of energy and fuel
to offset the cost of higher computer expenses that the saboteurs are costing.
Basically from what I can tell, whomever it is, is being monitored, and once
they commit a serious enough crime they will be arrested, and they will do a lot
of hard time in the old poky or the slammer or lockup or the brig or some other
secure guest facility.

you, since there are a lot of bears in the woods around the property, which is
why they have a lot of gardeners. Well not much happening around

conference I could have said "Hasta La Vista" or "Until I See You Again" .
Yesterday, I also stopped by the Greenwich Hardware store, and I told them the
last time I had driven by their owner's farm in back country, he was using a
bull dozer to remove a rock from their property, and judging from what I saw
from the road he was going to need to use dynamite. Back in 1962,
our old neighborhood in Baldwin Farms off Round Hill Road made the news because
somebody stole dynamite from a construction site. Friends who lived
in the neighborhood later told me they had taken it, and not knowing what to do
with it, they had flushed it down the toilet. The foundation of our
second house in Baldwin Farms at the end of Baldwin Farms South, when I helped
frame that house when I was 16 years old was filled in with beer cans, since in
the afternoon after work, we use to drink a bit of beer, and we eventually
filled up the sides of the basement foundation with beer cans. Of
course we were non union carpenters, so the local union picketed us the whole
time, and I use to cross the picket line everyday, so when I came back here in
1972 after living in Boston and again 1983 after living in Nantucket and
elsewhere, I guess as a non union type of individual, I was never able to get a
job, since it seems my jobs skills are limited as far as the type of wall street
work most people do in this area, so since 1983, I have spent a lot of time
walking around and observing on Greenwich Avenue. Yesterday, we had
a blue chip crowd moving around Greenwich whom looked very wealthy, so possibly
the Dutch came out here in response to my fax to their New York Consulate
The Royal Netherlands Embassy's
Offices/Websites in the United States of America . I saw several
people with the same look as Jay Rockefeller
rockefeller.senate.gov :: Senator
Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), which since the Rockefellers are Dutch is a Dutch
look. Maybe they think I am a Rockefeller since I was wearing my Exxon
www.exxon.com cap, but alas my grandmother
Scott's grandmother was only a Davidson. CIO

03/11/07 Sunday
8:55 A.M.: I saw my old friend Jimmy Eldert jogging around here yesterday,
and he still looks a bit like me but in better shape. Since he might
be a pilot, he could be here today and gone tomorrow. I chatted with
a relative after the last message. I woke up at 6 A.M.. I was
having computer problems last night when the computer crashed on shut down.
I could not get it to start up this morning. I tried doing a low
level format of the first hard drive, and it froze. That indicated
to me that I had a bad IDE hard drive cable. I replaced the IDE hard
drive cable with a new one, and I did a low level format of 1% zero write of the
first hard drive with the MaxBlast 4 utility. I then restored the
Vista Complete PC backup, and the primary computer seems to be running just
fine. IDE hard drive cable failure is the most common problem with
personal computers, so I keep spare ones around. The one that I replaced
was less than three months used, so possibly I might get an RMA on the Cobra IDE
cable that had been replaced before, but that might be stretching my luck.
I restore the few changed files since the backup. I set the clocks ahead
one hour. One should remember "Spring Forward, Fall Back" .
I remembered something yesterday. The reason I became homeless in
South Florida starting back in 1976, when I had gone down there to try to work
for
www.nasa.gov was that I met a ice hockey
player on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida whom was from Maine. During
the short period I knew him before he returned to Maine, he told me that he had
been offered $50,000 by two fellows from Tulsa, Oklahoma to kill me, so I
started being less visible sleeping in my car and moving around more.
At the time I had a relative whom was an assistant district attorney in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, and when I finally went down to Key West, Florida, nobody bothered me
with all of the U.S. Military around, and of course I lived out in Nantucket
most summers after that until 1983. Thus for some reason those two
guys from Tulsa, Oklahoma wanted to kill me, which seems odd, since with all of
the people in the New York City area, nobody ever bothered me, until about 15
years ago when I was mugged and about 5 years ago when somebody took a shot at
me at Tod's Point beach in Greenwich, Connecticut. I
obviously must look like somebody else they are after. I
will now eat
breakfast of
oatmeal
with a sliced banana, a toasted
English muffin with olive oil, a 50% mixture of orange juice with a
50% mixture of grape juice with a teaspoon of Certo with vitamins and
supplements, and coffee. I will then make
my bed, and I will wash the breakfast dishes. CIO

10:05 P.M.: I chatted with a relative. I chatted with a
local security organization. I ate the last three scoops of Dulche
de Leche ice cream. Eye in the Sky
BBC NEWS |
Science/Nature | Skynet satellite launch postponed , they have been around
forever. Back in 1957 when we lived near Huntsville, Alabama, the
local press reported the satellites could read the fine printing on a Marlboro
box, so I assume in 50 years they have gotten better. It seems like
a waste of a lot of money to read the fine printing on a Marlboro Box, and it
would be cheaper to buy your own package of Marlboros. Each cigarette from
various regions of America served special purposes for that local area, until
they all got mixed up in national advertising. From what I remember,
Marlboros were good at keeping rattle snakes away. I think Senecas
are good at keeping Mountain Lions away. Benson and Hedges were the
preferred cigarette of this area when I moved up north in 1961, and it even
sported a Park Avenue Address. I guess it was good at keeping the media
away. Sir Walter Raleigh tobacco was also good at keeping wild cats
away. They sent me a $3 off promo for Pall Mall ultra lites, and I
know Ronald Reagan who was from Illinois use to advertise them, so maybe they
are good for keeping away what ever ales one in Illinois such as Timber Wolves.
In America we have a lot of wild animals, and I frequently worry about the small
patch of woods near our building. I have only seen deer, foxes,
skunks, and owls around it. However, I have occasionally heard
animals being killed in those woods by some sort of predator, and I have heard
their shrieks. I never go into those woods to investigate.
I saw two police men here the other day with a police dog, and the police dog
would not get out of the car, so maybe the dog has more sense than myself and my
neighbors. Worse case scenario might be that since I had friends from
Northern Vermont whom use to visit here, possibly a "Big Foot" or Yeti type
creature follow them down from Vermont to keep an eye on what they were up to.
Of course a wild cat can cover a hundred miles a day, and rich people frequently
keep all sorts of exotic pets around. I frequently worried the Rocks
might still have Tony the Tiger around or its off spring. Also
sometimes zoos lose track of animals. Maybe the Central Park
Children's Zoo set lose my old pet Scandia to keep an eye on me, but if Scandia
were around, I think other people would notice. Scandia looks like
this
Polar Bear - Wikipedia,
the free encyclopedia, but is bigger since she does not get much exercise in
the cage. Scandia always like seeing me walk the white German shepard
around the zoo. More than likely it is just something like a Coyote.
I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.

7:05 P.M.: I went out after the last message. I went
downtown about 11 P.M., and I stopped by the Greenwich Automotive Service
Exxon gasoline station, and I bought $10 of premium self service unleaded
gasoline at $3.099 a gallon for 38 miles driving this week at an average
of 13.8 miles per hour averaging 14 miles per gallon. I then went
downtown. They were having a small peace protest at the Greenwich
Post Office. I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the
train station area. I used the bathroom at the senior and the arts
center. I stopped by CVS, and I chatted with someone from India.
I sat out at various locations. I then drove down by the waterfront.
There was a green pickup truck from Illinois parked down there. I
guess it is another hay seed who has never seen the ocean. I then
went by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with another resident from Illinois
whom I have not seen in a while. I then went by the Stop and Shop,
and I bought a 10 pound bag of Carolina rice for $5.69, a 5 ounce bottle of
House of Tsang Pure Sesame Seed Oil $2.99, and a 2 pound bag of baby carrots for
$2.99 for $11.67 total. I then returned home, and I chatted with some
neighbors. One neighbor who works at the Stop and Shop told me they
might be going on strike tomorrow, so if you need food there, you better get it
in a hurry. I then hung the Dutch tri color flag over the left living room
closet door with two small OOK hooks. When opening the left living
room closet door, one has to reach up 6.5 feet to unattach the one side of the
Dutch flag, which only takes a few seconds. I do not open that closet that
much in the warmer weather, since it is mostly winter clothes. It
currently is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Let's hope it stays. I then hung
the British Union Jack flag over the center living room window curtain, so it is
prominently displayed. However, its colors tend to clash with the
orange curtain underneath it. Over the left hallway bookcase, I put
the Saudi Arabia flag, with the U.S. Air Force flag over it, with the Swedish
flag over that. Over the right hallway bookcase, I put the U.S.A. 50
star Stars and Stripes flag with the larger Cross of St. Andrews of Scotland
over that. If any one knows Scotland, the average Scottish people in
Scotland tend to be a lot larger than the average American, which is why so many
of the smaller Scottish people came over here. Scotland is pretty
much a Nordic country, so like all Nordic countries, they tend to have larger
people. I guess it is the fresh air. At the Stop and
Shop, they were promoting chocolate with
CACAO RESERVE BY HERSHEY'S .
Apparently chocolate helps people not feel depressed in the winter, when they do
not get too much sun light. I told the person how much chocolate I
saw the Norwegian eat while I was in Norway in 1983. I do not each
much chocolate since I am hypoglycemic. Remember when opening the
left living room closet door, one has to unhook the Dutch flag to get at some of
the winter pull overs. CIO

4:35 P.M.: I chatted with a friend and a foreign security official.
I also chatted with a relative. Nothing unusual happening around here.
Yesterday, I noticed a tanned visitor in the Greenwich Library with his wife,
and the visitor looked a little bit like Adolph Hitler, so maybe he came out of
Brazil when Bush went down there. Apparently the head of the gay
mafia activity in Key West, Florida is George Kravis who is from Tulsa,
Oklahoma, and I guess they can afford to be down there. More than
likely they are probably trying to poach off the Mellon and Rockefeller and
Dutch oil properties out in the Gulf of Mexico. With all of the
deluxe resorts in the world, there is not really any interest in Key West,
Florida, unless one is interested in off shore oil, which is why so many oil
workers show up down there. When I was down there, the Army Corps of
Engineer had two thousand men with beards from 6 foot 6 inches to over 7 feet
tall, so that is what it took to build a 140 miles of bridges. Of
course it is the nature of engineers in construction projects, they can be from
any where in the world. I ate three scoops of dulche de leche ice

two 16 ounce jars of Planter's lightly salted peanuts for $1.99 each for $9.16
total. I then returned home, and I brought up the night stand.
I removed the mahogany end table with inlaid leather top from by the chair at
the apartment entrance, and I put the small telephone table from the bathroom at
that location. It gives more room for one to enter the couch sitting area
of the living room. I put the night stand in the bathroom.
I brought the mahogany end table down to the car, and I dropped off by the
entrance to the Merry Go Round Mews thrift shop. They told me I
could leave it there. I then walked the entire length of Greenwich

the option of going to the tropics. They do not let me go to the
tropics, because I do not know their languages, and I do not have any of their
type of money to use anyway. Thus I am stuck up north with the
skeleton crew maintaining this lonely outpost on Long Island Sound with the few
people that manage to hang on remaining in the New York City area.
Since I have not been to New York City in a long time, I am not sure if there
are any people left there anymore or not. I have two friends that
live there occasionally, but they are not currently there, so I do not have any
contacts in the City at the moment. For the $20 price round trip on the
train for going into Manhattan, one can manage to keep busy out here on a
limited budget instead of walking around in the cold in New York City.
I have a network of friends around the area whom share my viewpoint about
staying away from New York City, since it tends to be too expensive for what
they offer. However, I see plenty of New York City refugees out

cold weather takes practice. First of all one has to learn to dress
warmly for it, and taking the time to dress warming for it is important.
It is not quite as easy as a walk in the park. Well I will now get
ready to go out. Tomorrow night is suppose to be 10 degrees colder,

1:15 P.M.: I tweaked the apartment a little bit. I chatted
with a relative. Not much going on around here with the colder
weather and higher energy prices. It costs money to drive all of the
way over to Tod's Point to enjoy the view of Long Island Sound. I
can always go to the Greenwich Library, but recently whenever I eat any meat, I
seem to have a lot of gas which the other library patrons might not enjoy.
Also I have been getting up in the late evening and early morning, so by the
time the library is opened, I am a bit tired. On a night time schedule, it
does not cost to park downtown, but it can be a lot colder at night, so I am
more comfortable staying home. As I have said many times before, there is
no point in heating up the cast iron engine of one's car to drive around in
circles, when the same amount of energy will keep one warm and comfortable at
home. I have plenty of food
http://mikelouisscott.com/inventory.htm . From what I can tell,
the people who cater to the traveling public and new comers are spending most of
their time downtown, so that is where they drum up their new business.
Alas, since my family moved here in 1961, I know a lot of people, but since most
of them know I am frequently on a night schedule, they do not bother to call and
chat with me in the daytime. The Wall Street crowd is not allowed to
chat anyway, since that would be considered inside trading. Whatever
the case, if anything is reported unusual, I will be the first to notice it at
night. I guess so many of the affluent people are away down south,
the movers and shakers are probably not around anyway, but just the cold weather
skeleton crew that maintains this town during the cold weather.
Since Greenwich Avenue has a nice ambience, there are always people hanging
around Starbucks for a $2 cup of coffee to see what shows up. For
people coming out on the train from New York City and elsewhere, the
Welcome to Greenwich Library! is
about a mile hike from the Greenwich Train station along a busy shopping avenue.
From what I can tell, once it warms up, we will probably have less air pollution
with the higher prices of fuel. I do not noticed the large groups of
youth driving around late at night anymore. Of course people still
have to get back and forth to work. In the suburbs there is not
always public transportation to all parts of town. Maybe the town of
Greenwich should look into a public bus system like the Westport, Connecticut
public bus system that picks up and drops people off all around town, and not
just the major roads.

inch thick slices. I put a four tablespoons of olive oil in a 10 inch stick
proof frying pan along with three pads of margarine and two peeled and minced
cloves of garlic. I heated the fat over medium high electric burner heat, and
once it was hot, I added one half pound 1.25 inch thick center cut boneless pork
chop, and the sliced onions. I seasoned them with garlic powder, ground black
pepper, and Italian seasoning. I sautéed them turning them regularly for four
minutes on each side seasoning them on both sides. I then put in a few
tablespoons of Kikkoman soy sauce and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, and
I put a lid on, and I steamed them another three minutes turning them once. I
put pork on a dinner plate with the onions and the juices on top of it. I also
put half the rice on the dinner plate. I put the steamed vegetables in a bowl
with a little bit of olive oil. I put the other half of the rice in a
Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator. I ate it all with a glass of iced
tea. I did a Vista Complete PC Backup from the first hard drive to the second

Professional on it. The ASR backup should be finished on it in about a
half hour. I finished going through my email. I will now do a
Vista Complete PC backup from the first hard drive to the second hard drive.
I made up a batch of
http://www.geocities.com/mikelscott/pbf.htm which I used a 11 ounce can of
Campbell's baked beans Maple flavor along with a little soy sauce and all of the
other ingredients. I ate it with a glass of iced tea.

3:30 A.M.: I installed a new IDE cable in the FIC server. I am
restoring the backup to it after reinstalling XP Professional and SP2. I
will have to reactivate it again a second time after restoring the backup, since
the backup was made with a different memory configuration. I will then
install Office 2003 Professional on it. I will then back it up again, so
it will take some time. I will then start up the server again.
I watered the plants, and I put out more white vinegar in the scent bowl.
I threw out the garbage and old periodical literature, and I picked up my mail.
I put $5 on my MacGray laundry card, so I now have $12.85 on it. I brought
up the two U.S. Army cold weather sleeping bags from the back of the car, and I
put them on the far end of the sofas. I figured they would get damp
inside the car, plus there is now room in the rear area to place groceries.
I have three folding beach chairs in the rear, which could be removed if more
space were needed. However in the warmer months, people like to sit out by
their cars in chairs occasionally. I enjoy chatted with the Microsoft
Product Activication people from India, since they are always very friendly.
They are always trying to get me to visit India, but alas I can not even afford
to visit New York City. However, I am attempting to keep up with my bills,
and besides the new computer memory, I do not owe any money, but I still have to
pay my rent for this month on Monday. I will now go through my
email. CIO

03/02/07 Friday
10:00 P.M.: I ate a toasted bagel before going to bed. I woke up at
8:30 P.M.. The FIC server seemed to have a microvirus or some other
problem on the first hard drive, so I used the Seagate Utilities, and I did a 1%
low level format on the drive. However, the MaxBlast 4 Utilities,
still do not recognize the drive although the XP install does. I
think I have a hard drive cable problem. Thus the partition with the
Vista Longhorn beta 2 build 6001 server February edition is deleted. I
have a backup for the XP Pro partition. I will first eat
breakfast of
oatmeal
with a sliced banana, a toasted
bagel with olive oil, a 50% mixture of orange juice with a
50% mixture of grape juice with a teaspoon of Certo with vitamins and
supplements, and coffee. CIO

03/02/07 Friday
7:35 A.M.: I have Office 2007 Professional installed on the primary
Vista computer. I did not install the Business Contact manager.
I also installed Groove. The internet was down for a few hour this
morning. On the FIC server, I restored XP Professional ASR backup, since
the server was acting a little funny. I am now running Norton
Internet Security 2005 on it. I am trying to fix the boot manager to get
it work with the Vista Longhorn Beta 2 server 6001 build February, but I am a
bit tired, and I am having a bit of trouble remembering how to do it. You
have to remember, I have only had about three hours of light sleep since
Wednesday at 4 P.M., when I woke up. I might sneak out at 9 A.M.
this morning and pay my rent to get that over with. I will now do a Vista
Complete PC backup of the primary Vista computer from the first hard drive to
the second hard drive. CIO

03/01/07 Thursday
11:45 P.M.: After dinner, I chatted with two relatives. I also
had to do a Vista Complete PC Backup restore to February 26, 2007, since the
Microsoft Money 2006 program was not working properly. It is all working
fine now. In Vista, I think Vista Complete PC backup restore will
NOT restore to SCSI hard drives, and that was my experience, and I have read
other reports to the same. Thus your first hard drive should be an
EIDE hard drive. I paid my
www.cablevision.com bill for Direct TV, Optimum Voice, and Cable Modem and
www.verison.com bills on line.
I order 7 cartons of New York Seneca Ultra Lights 100s in box for $12.49 a
carton from
www.ordersmokesdirect.com
for $87.43 subtotal and $14.46 shipping for $101.89 total. I paid my bill
at
www.newegg.com for the

plus $17.94 shipping and $2.99 Rush Order Fee for $225.62 total which I am
due a $50 rebate on in April
rebate information

. I still owe $160 to

which I will pay next month for the
Newegg.com -

for $159.99 less $1.76 1.1% preferred customer discount, plus $2.99 discount for
preferred customer for $155.24 plus $4.99 three day UPS shipping and Rush Order
Fee of $2.99 for $163.22 total. I paid an extra $3.22 at
www.newegg.com , so the amount would be an
even $160 owed. Thus I can officially say I own the Samsung unit,
but not the memory yet. Now I will go to work installing Office 2007
Professional as mentioned earlier. CIO

03/01/07 Thursday
7:35 P.M.: I slept lightly this morning until 6:30 A.M..
I got out of bed once, and I brought up the bicycle from the back of the Volvo
along with the orange bike helmet, and I put it along the back side walk area
where it was before. I will ask the Greenwich Housing Authority
inspector on March 6, if I can keep it there, since I like to have my car seats
up the way they are now with the extra items in the rear area.
I slept a bit, and then I ate a piece of fruit cake with two scoops of banana
split ice cream. I slept some more, and I decided to put two United
States Army
www.army.mil Extreme cold weather
sleeping bags in the rear area of the Volvo in case I had to camp out in an
emergency in my trip to Long Island or any other time. I have room
in the back seat area to put groceries. I did some bottom fishing on the
internet.

50% mixture of grape juice with a teaspoon of Certo with vitamins and

left my apartment at 9:30 A.M., and I followed the Google Map to the Hyatt Hotel
in Hauppauge, Long Island New York arriving there about 11 A.M. about a 59 mile
drive. I checked in the conference, and they gave me a Microsoft souvenir
bag with a black Vista tee shirt with orange letters and a light up pen, and a
note pad. They gave us a ticket for the Launch 2007 Resource Kit,
which has Windows Office 2007 Professional. We were told after the
conference they would distribute the CDs. I checked out the hotel
and the Launch sponsors. I noticed they have repaved the Long Island
Expressway since I was last out there. The Launch was across the
street from
www.ca.com and
www.cablevision.com . I suggested
to one of the Microsoft people it would be nice it the Cablevision Box work with
the Vista Media Center instead of having to change the digital cable box
manually. I chatted with a few people about Vista. I did
not eat anything or drink anything, because when one is on the highway, there is
not always a bathroom available in the New York area. The Developers
presentation I attended for the first 2/3rds of it, was very interesting, and it
gave me some ideas about things I might be able to do in the future.
I had to leave early, because I was worried about the New York City rush hour
traffic, and I explained to them I had been awake since 4 P.M. yesterday with a
cat nap, and I was worried about the traffic and impending rain.
They gave me the Launch CD. I left at 3:30 P.M., and I returned home
at 4:30 P.M.. I paid a $4.50 toll each way over the Throgs Neck Bridge and
a $1.25 toll on the return at the New Rochelle, New York toll station for $10.25
expenses today. I chatted with a relative when I returned home.
I still have to pay some bills on line. My rent was lowered from $78 to
$69 a month, so it will help. I think I should be able to budget
myself this month, so I can pay for the Samsung all purpose fax, copier,
printer, and scanner shortly to
www.newegg.com
. I will have to wait to pay for the memory until next month, unless
I win a scratch card. On Office 2007 Professional, one has to
uninstall the Office 2007 demo, and I will also uninstall Office 2003.
I will first save my Outlook 2007 demo folders information, by exporting them
all to a *.pst file. I will then install Office 2007 Professional on
the Vista computer, and I will install Office 2003 on the FIC server in its XP
Professional partition. I also have to copy the Office 2007
Professional DVD, and install from it, and keep the original as a master DVD.
However, first I will microwave and eat a 15.5 ounce Stouffer's stuffed peppers
dinner, which I will eat with a glass of iced tea. Thus I still have a
little bit of work to do today. CIO
