Note:<888> 10/31/06 Tuesday 12:45 A.M.:  Happy Halloween.   I rested after the last message until 8 P.M..  I then chatted with a relative.   Nancy Reagan was on television with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Library .   I showered, and I cleaned up.   I went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.   I stopped by Starbucks, and I got a dollar bill of an Indian dollar.   I used the ATM machine at Putnam Trust Bank of New York on Greenwich Avenue.   It was not very busy downtown.   I sat out at various locations.   I drove down by the waterfront.   I then returned home.   I saw a truck delivering a truck load of new cars.   They usually do that at night, when it is not too busy.   I live on the west end of automobile row here in Greenwich, Connecticut, so we have some fancy automobiles for sale in this area.   I came home, and I was home an hour early.   I had not set my clock in the Volvo back an hour, so I went down, and I set my clock back an hour in the Volvo.   I noticed there is a tall stereo case with drawers behind the dumpster.   I then noticed I hung the United States flag with the stars in the left top corner which is the sign of distress.   I decided to put the flag back the way I normally keep them in case we might have various worldwide visitors, in case anyone has not gone south for the winter, there might be a few people left around the area.   I put out the two small Swiss and one small Swedish flags on the Lexmark X1185 printer on the dining table at the apartment entrance.   I then hung the United States of America flag with the stars in the upper right corner on the right hallway bookcase, and then the British Union Jack over it, and then the Scottish Cross of St. Andrews over it.   On the left hallway bookcase, I put the Saudi Arabian flag with the U.S. Air Force flag over it with the Netherlands flag over it with the Swedish flag displayed over them all.   Since Scotland and Sweden are the two most northern flags I have, they probably are appropriate for the winter.   I do not display the Saudi Arabian flag very much since the large Jewish community in Greenwich, Connecticut would be offended, although it does not offend me other than the fact I am still freezing in the winter, so they are not very good at coming up with any cheap energy for the winter, so we sort of forget about them around here anyway.   Anyway 60% of the New York City area energy comes from Canada anyway.   The Jewish population is suppose to be good on nuclear energy, but they do not seem to be able to supply it cheaply anymore.   Thus sooner or later it will get colder in the apartment.   I will now make up a batch of Formula One http://mikelouisscott.com/icetea.htm .   CIO

Note:<888> 10/30/06 Monday 12:10 P.M.:   I went out after the last message.   I went by CVS on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store.   I then walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.   I sat out at various locations.   I stopped by CVS again.  I mentioned to one of their staff that they should display more items from Unilever global company website since their office is just across from the Greenwich Library just east of U.S. Tobacco U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company .   It is another one of those quiet companies in town that one does not hear too much about.    After I completed my walk, I sat out for a while.   I noticed a photographer from Vermont regularly goes to Starbucks on Sunday night.   He probably works for Canadian intelligence, since some Vermont people can occasionally make it up to Canada.   I then returned home.   I chatted with a neighbor.  I opened a 18 ounce can of Progresso New England clam chowder, and I put it in a plastic microwave proof pot with lid, and I microwaved it on one vegetable cycle.   I put the soup in  large Cobalt blue soup bowl, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea.  I chatted with a relative.  I ate a 5 ounce bag of Wise sour cream and onion potato chips.   I then went to bed until 8 A.M. this morning.   I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee.  I then went back to bed until now.   I will now wash the breakfast dishes, and I will make my bed.   I have lost 25 pounds, and I am now down to about 190 pounds.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 5:15 P.M.:  I defrosted and heated in the microwave one of the two three cup containers of frozen steak stew, and I ate 1.5 cups of it with a glass of iced tea.   Since nobody has seem to responded to the "Charge of the Light Brigade" , I will now shut down the primary  computer, and I will shower, and I will clean up, and I will go out downtown, and I will model my new blue suspenders with my Lee blue jeans.   It we are attached again, I could always use them for a catapult to launch any spare objects at the annoying intruder.   If the nut case in blue Audi still thinks I am an annoying African American, I could arrange for a bigger African American to take my place whom might not be so diplomatic.   I could also take my Polaroid digital camera and take a picture of the idiot's license plate to have for posterity before he runs out of gasoline.   Basically there are a few people whom might be without electricity in the area Thousands without power as winds pound East - CNN.com , but most of the established Greenwich residents can afford to go to a local hotel if they lose power.   From what I can tell, there is not much money to be made off walking around the downtown area in Greenwich, Connecticut over 23 years.   I have found about $44 in cash, and I have won $160 on lottery cards and scratch cards, and I have probably spend about $50 on lottery and scratch cards, so the net profit in walking around downtown Greenwich Avenue area would be about $154 in 23 years or about $6.70 a year.   I think the gasoline and other expenses to drive to the downtown area and maintain a car and my lifestyle have been a little bit more expensive than that.   Basically since my largest financial supporter presently seems to be the United States Government for the last 23 years, sooner or later the nut case in the blue Audi sedan might have to justify himself to a higher authority.  If the nut case in the blue Audi sedan has big bucks, where he thinks he can throw his weight around, I think we could arrange for the Internal Revenue Service Internal Revenue Service to also audit the individual.    CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 4:10 P.M.:  I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes.   I threw out some garbage, and I chatted with some neighbors.   Basically after walking Greenwich Avenue for 23 years, it is basically like being the Maytag Repairman, particularly after midnight.   Since the town of Greenwich, Connecticut with its two major highway arteries gets up to a million people traveling through town every week, Greenwich Avenue changes from minute to minute hour to hour day to day.   From what I can tell, a certain Mafiosi group frequent Greenwich Avenue on weekends at some of our local pubs, and I have seen Gotti family members coming and going from some of the local pubs.   However, this is the New York metropolitan area, and there are more than a few Italians in the area, and most of them seem to be law abiding.   Basically it is my perspective, if they are getting territorial over the outside area around Starbucks, it gets awfully cold there in the winter, and not many people want to linger around there once it gets cold.   After midnight, there is usually just police and fire protection and the occasional ambulance crew along with a few train passengers, most of whom are coming to and from work at the Greenwich Hospital on the night shift.   There are also occasionally a handful of children skate boarding late at night.   On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights after Starbucks closes, it is usually dead slow, and earlier in the evening there are usually a few movie goers and people dining out with a few of the younger generation stopping by the pubs.   It is my perspective, that I am not being paid for walking on Greenwich Avenue late at night, and it is just a quiet exercise walk.  I do not have any official capacity, and from what I can tell, if anything goes wrong, there tend to be a few other people with cell phones.   Basically, I think the Greenwich Police know the situation with the Nut Case in the Blue Audi, so more than likely they have taken care of it.   The only other car parked in that location late at night this summer was a white Chevrolet sedan from Wilton, Connecticut.   Obviously none of these people using parking at that location late at night in the winter would be interested in being out in the cold freezing weather when the weather is not too glamorous late at night.   In other words nobody else would want to do the job, even if they were paid.   Also the only other person out there late at night and in the early morning hours was George the taxi cab driver just walking to work, before he moved to Stamford.  Also two different people water the hanging plants in the summer.   There is an early morning riser walking about 4 to 5 A.M. in an orange parka.   Occasionally there are a few delivery trucks and cleaning crews.  The police and fire and EMT respond to many accidents on Interstate 95.   The Greenwich Time and other newspaper delivery trucks are out.   Occasionally some of the guests from the Delamar Hotel walk around exploring the town.   Of course after 4 or 5 A.M. the garbage trucks are moving around.   A few late night pub crawlers have cigarettes outside of the bars, and network when the bars are closing.   Recently I have noticed the Colonial Diner which is opened all night has not been very busy at night anymore.   The real fact is that there are not that many people out late at night and during the early morning hours anymore, but there are always travelers on the highway.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 2:30 P.M.:   I woke up at 10 A.M. this morning.  I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee.  I chatted with a relative and two friends.   I left a message with another friend.   The reason I emailed the www.fbi.gov is that I had received on one of my unused email addresses an airline reservation for two people with a name  similar to mine on KLM Northwest airlines. It initially looked like a computer mistake, but I noticed the reservation was for November 11, 2006 or ""1111", and I thought that might be a day people would remember for a terrorist day, so I finally checked with Northwest KLM this morning, and they told me it was a mistake, and the intended email address was similar.   I did a Vista Complete PC backup of my computer, and I also did a XP ASR backup of my computer from the C: first hard drive to the D: second hard drive.   I rested a bit after breakfast until now.  CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 2:40 A.M.:  I microwaved and ate a bag of popcorn.   I filed report here FBI Tips and Public Leads about another unusual computer event.   I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 1:35 A.M.:  I finished setting back the clocks.  I still need to set the clock back in the Volvo.  Basically once they start trying to kill you, you tend not to be too diplomatic.   I called up United States Military Academy at West Point at 1-845-938-4011.  I advised the military police of the situation, and they said they have no influence in Connecticut.   I mentioned the name of a relative that might be involved with their organization.  I then did some minor interior decorating.   I took the two Swiss and one Swedish flags off the Lexmark X1185 printer on the dining table at the apartment entrance, and I put them on the Danish bar behind the other smaller flags.   I then rehung the United States Air Force www.af.mil flag over the left hallway bookcase and the United States of America flag over the right hallway bookcase.   The other larger flags of convenience are not hung underneath them.  Of course being less than diplomatic most of the time, I have already set lose my big cats and wolves.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 1:25 A.M.:  I believe at 2 A.M., we end Daylight Savings Time, and we Fall back to 1 A.M..   I will now start resetting the clocks and other time keeping devices.  I believe the computer does it automatically.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 1:10 A.M.:  I have a pretty good memory for detail.   If I am not mistaken, today happens to be the 32nd birthday for a local expert on cold weather known as the "Artful Dodger" http://mikelouisscott.com/chris2000.jpg .  Since he grew up in Jay Peak, Vermont in much colder weather until he arrived in this area to go to the Greenwich High School at age 14, he probably knows some other cold weather people.   Since he lived at the Y.M.C.A. and Christ Church more than likely he has quite a few friends in the downtown area, if he ever makes it back to visit this area from where ever he has settled into for his long winter's stay.   More than likely he would rather be in Daytona, Florida, but with his local cold weather skills, he probably manages to make a living in this area.   Since the skinny women at Christ Church have quite a bit of influence, more than likely this could be the same person Garelick Farms , so if you need some cow juice for your coffee, you know whom to look up.  CIO

Note:<888> 10/29/06 Sunday 12:50 A.M.:  My friend reminded me that certain delegations to the United Nations such as Russia, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and I suppose some other countries are not allowed to travel more than 25 miles from the United Nations.   Thus if one drew a circle 25 miles in radius from the United Nations that would show how far they are allowed to travel.   Since in the colder months, Greenwich Avenue is always full of Russians, I would think it is safe to assume that Greenwich Avenue is within 25 direct radius miles of the United Nations as the Crow flies.   If one of the delegates were caught beyond this radius they would be subject to whatever penalties the host country being the United States of America were subject to levy.   In other words, with 300 million United States citizens, I do not think it is too hard to keep track of the various delegates in their movements and their travels.  More than likely their vehicles are monitored anyway.   However, if one searched from 15 Havemeyer Place in Greenwich, Connecticut where the Greenwich Police station is located to the United Nations Plaza in New York, New York at http://maps.google.com/ it says it is 30.9 miles via road, thus more than likely the various delegates that are limited in their travels would not be allow to cross from New York into Connecticut without special permission.  Thus with the Russian types, they would be allowed to come out as far as Rye, New York, and I guess if they were sneaking out any further, they would be some of the odd joggers we see in the area coming and going occasionally.   However, the New York City area is suppose to have a half million recent Russian immigrants, so more than likely they are less restricted in their travels, and more than likely some of their delegates move around with them.   Basically the rules exists because other countries overseas enforce the same rules on our delegates or representatives.  I microwaved and ate a 7 ounce Banquet chicken pot pie, which I ate with a glass of iced tea.  CIO

Note:<888> 10/27/06 Friday 10:25 P.M.:   I chatted with a relative.   I retrieved the boxes out of the dumpster, and I collapsed them, and I put them underneath the bed.   I put the stuffing peanuts and stuffing foam bags in a plastic garbage bag, and I stored them in the false ceiling.   Thus I have shipping material in case I need to ship anything.   Guest Book - Gen. Note:<888> 10/27/06 Friday 6:45 P.M.:   I woke up at 10 A.M. this morning.   I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee.   I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes.   I picked up my mail.  The New Central Railroad blue 100 share stock certificate arrived.   I put it in a 11 inch by 14 inch brass frame that I had, and I hung it with a OOK hook to the right hand side of the golf autograph magazine above the bedroom closet.   I then did my house cleaning and watering the plants.   I threw out the garbage and some old periodicals literature.   I leant a neighbor a package of New York Seneca Ultra Lights 100 cigarettes in a box.   The neighbor now owes me about $4 for cigarettes.   I then chatted with a neighbor.   I took out a frozen 15.5 ounce Red Baron Deep Dish pizza with pepperoni, and I put in on a metal baking sheet, and I added garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and olive oil.   I then put it in the Farberware convection oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 minutes.   I ate it with a glass of iced tea.   UPS delivered the blue 2 inch wide 54 inch long clip suspenders, and the smaller of the jump start systems.   I left the suspenders on their hook attachments, and I hung them with my belts at the bedroom entrance.   The small jump system is not too physically large, about a third of the size of my other jump start systems, but it is suppose to be equally powerful.   Probably it has a different type of more powerful battery.   It needs to be charged up 24 hours before using it the first time, and it is suppose to be good for 90 days on a charge if not used.   It does not have a power cable, but just a plug for an extension cord.   I had a foot long extension cord that I plugged into it, and then I put a three prong to two prong adapter on that foot long cord, and I plugged it into a regular extension cord and placed it by the bedroom entrance while it charges up.   Technically with four jump systems, once I have them up and running, I would be able to leave one in the car this winter, and since I have a charging adapter for the car cigarette lighter, if I needed to use one while I was downtown, it would be available.   However, when jump start batteries sit out in the cold weather, they tend to be less powerful, but still it is an option.   Of course I have jumper cables in the car, but Volvo recommends against using them to prevent from damaging the car onboard computer.   I suppose it depends on how much of an emergency it is.  The jump start system came in its own box plus three other boxes, so with the suspenders box, I have four boxes to throw away shortly.   They are good boxes, but I have no where to store them.    CIO

Note:<888> 10/26/06 Thursday 11:50 P.M.:  Besides the two new jump start systems, I also have the Slaymaker Jump Start system that I replaced the battery on two years ago, and it seems fairly good.   I also have a Roadmaster Jumpstart Portable Power Station that I found in the dumpster about six months ago, and its battery is worn out.   I took it apart, and it uses the same battery as the Slaymaker, so I ordered eBay: Battery Fits DATEC 7036 UPS (12V 17AH) (item 270007279103 end time Nov-09-06 09:39:26 PST) for $19.95 and $13 shipping for $32.95 total.   Thus I will have four jump start systems ready to use this winter.  If it is hard starting the car this winter, one could always rig up two of them at a time for more power.   My spare funds are down to minimal support until the first of the month, but I have paid most of my bills for November.  I will now put the Roadmaster unit back together.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/26/06 Thursday 10:40 P.M.:  The two jump start devices are shipping separately .  The order that I bought was this combo listed at the bottom of this page Amazon.com: Schumacher PS-400-3A Instant Power Jump Starter With 18 Amp Hour Battery: Automotive for $103.87 for both jump start system less $20 for over $100 automotive order in automotive using coupon code "ILW7MGWS" for $83.87 plus with free Super Saver Shipping I saved $27.20 on ground shipping that I did not have to pay for a total of $83.87 all together.   The tracking on the least powerful of the two devices is UPS: Tracking Information .   I guess colder weather has set in more in the interior of the country, so people are more in need of them in the colder areas.   We are fortunate here to live by the more temperate waterfront near the ocean, so it has not gotten colder here yet, but sooner or later it will get colder.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/26/06 Thursday 9:55 P.M.:   I went out after the last message.   I went to my usual Thursday 3 P.M. appointment.   I set up an appointment for next week to get a flu shot.   I went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, and I bought a six inch high Colonial Williamsburg Where History Lives salt ware vase for $3.   I learned how to make those items when I lived in Colonial Williamsburg for a month back around the summer of 1963.   Alas I can not afford to dress as lavishly as they seem to dress down there.  However, I guess vintage clothing never goes out of style.  I then went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.   During my walk, I stopped by the Greenwich Cigar store, and I bought a Aces High scratch card for a dollar, but I did not win anything.   I chatted with a neighbor.   I stopped by the senior and the arts center, and I used the bathroom.   I stopped by CVS.  I sat out for a while.   I drove down by the waterfront.  I went by the Greenwich Library.   I chatted with a local attorney and a patron.  I chatted with the music librarian, and I chatted with one of the reference librarians.  I noticed they were having an art gallery opening with a lot of pink and green paintings.  I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought greenish bananas at .54 a pound for $1.47.   I then returned home.   I microwaved a 15.5 ounce Stouffer's frozen stuffed peppers dinner, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea.   I then chatted with two relatives and a friend.   I will now do some regular computer work.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/26/06 Thursday 1:45 P.M.:   I checked the mail, and I threw out some garbage.  I reorganized my small hallway sweater closet, so it is a bit neater.  I put some of the spare towels that were in the sweater closet on the bedroom closet shelf, and I put some of the sweaters that I had out grown in the lower half of the lower Rubbermaid hamper in the bedroom.   The bottom shelf of the sweater closet contains a Prince jogging suit along with a lot of old pairs of boxer shorts and other old clothing items that can be used for dust clothes and some turtle necks that are a bit too small.   I threw out a tin of old moth balls from the closet.    I opened a cold 6 ounce can of solid white albacore tuna fish,  and I defrosted four slices of bread, and I rinsed the tuna fish off with the lid underneath cold water, and I flaked it in a bowl adding two tablespoons of Hellmann's low fat mayonnaise, and I made two sandwiches out of it all, and I ate it all with a glass of iced tea.   The brass horse and Currier and Ives coaster trivets arrived in the mail from Carver, Minnesota.   I put the pair of brass horses sculpture on the living room window shelf, so it catches the eye, and I put the four Currier and Ives coaster trivets on the green sofa side of the brass and glass coffee table.   They have rubber bumpers, so they do not scratch the glass on the coffee table.   I will now shower, and I will clean up, and I will go out for my 3 P.M. appointment.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/26/06 Thursday 10:00 A.M.:   I was up at 6:30 A.M. this morning.   I went outside, and I chatted with a neighbor.   I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee.   I watched some television.  I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes.   I chatted with a relative.   I did some bottom fishing on the internet.   I did not win the www.powerball.com last night.  I did not get any of the numbers right.  I ran Registry Mechanic on the primary computer again, and it fixed 8 problems.   The problem with Greenwich, Connecticut and the New York City area is that a lot of people drink alcohol.   When they drink alcohol, they tend to go through mood swings, and usually they end up getting depressed after they quit drinking alcohol for a while.   The alcoholic activity of the local citizens keeps a number of the local citizens busy, since they have to deal with whatever they do when they drink alcohol or become depressed after drinking alcohol.  One of my neighbors thinks by buying odd items in the Greenwich, Connecticut Hospital Thrift shop, one might buy some item that has a curse or bad voodoo attached to it.   Basically the only thing I know that I have in my apartment that is some sort of relic is the New Zealand tiki that a relative gave to me after a trip to New Zealand.  CIO

Note:<888> 10/25/06 Wednesday 9:45 P.M.:   I chatted with two friends after dinner.   I was exposed to someone with a cold at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop today, so if I come down with a cold my elderly neighbors will be exposed to it.   I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.   Have a good evening.   I have a 3 P.M. appointment tomorrow.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/25/06 Wednesday 8:30 P.M.:   I went out after the last message.   I went by Putnam Trust Bank of New York on Mason Street.   I chatted with a Greenwich Hospital Volunteer there.   I then went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop.   I bought four small cloth lined lamp shades in like new condition for $10 all.  When I was getting in my car, I found a one pound coin that I guess is British with Queen Elizabeth II's image on the front and the Royal seal on the back with "Decus Et Tutamen" meaning "An Ornament and a Safeguard" eBay.co.uk Guides - Inscriptions Legends on British Coins Translations around the edge of the coin.   I then went by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with another person who also lives in Wisconsin.  I chatted with a Norwegian resident.   I chatted with another regular downtown observer whom is not spending much time downtown anymore.   I then returned home.  I called a couple of local security people about recent events.   I am concerned as to how the British coin happened to be on the seat of my car, since I tend to lock it at all times.  Possibly it fell out of the lining of the Ralph Lauren green car coat that I bought for $40 at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop about 10 months ago.   If not, it would mean there has been an intruder in my car for unknown reasons.   I completed the other two backups on my Maxtor external hard drive, so five of the six computers are backed up to the external hard drive.   I chatted with two relatives twice.   I checked outside, and I chatted with a couple of neighbors.  I walked around the building.  I put the new small white cloth lamp shades on the sconces above the dining table, and they are the same as on the sconces at the other end of the room.   I put the old ones that I took off in the left living room closet shelf on the right side.   Since I try to run a secure environment, I am sort of spooked when there is a sign of an intruder.   I will now reheat on two vegetable cycles in the General Electric microwave oven in a plastic microwave proof pot with lid the other half of the tomato sauce from the jar that I opened this morning along with the cooked vermicelli in the flat Rubbermaid container, and I will put it on a dinner plate with the vermicelli first and then the tomato sauce, and then a four tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese, and I will eat it all with a glass of iced tea.  I put the one pound British coin in the brass picture frame with the Canadian quarter that I keep underneath the Epson StylusColor 880 printer on the dining table.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/25/06 Wednesday 12:45 P.M.:   I went outside, and I threw out some garbage.   I said hello to the building custodian and a neighbor.   I picked up my mail.   I opened a 18 ounce can of Progresso New England clam chowder, and I put it in a plastic microwave proof pot with lid, and I microwaved it on one vegetable cycle.   I put the soup in  large Cobalt blue soup bowl, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea.   I put Windows Defender on the Toshiba laptop.   Basically from what I can tell Windows Defender removes Bargain Buddy.  I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will shower, and I will clean up, and I will go out.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/25/06 Wednesday 11:30 A.M.:  I ate the last two scoops of almond and praline ice cream yesterday afternoon before going to bed.  The brass horses statue and Currier and Ives coaster trivets have shipped, and so has the Baltimore and Ohio ashtray.   The Baltimore and Ohio ashtray has holes on the bottom, so I think I will hang it beneath the left far wall living room sconce  just to the right and beneath the Abraham Lincoln portrait.   I will probably put the brass horse statue on the lazy Susan on the window ledge with the potted palm.   I have already mentioned my plans for the four Currier and Ives coaster trivets.   I have been billed for one of the two jump start systems, but neither of them have shipped coming from two locations.  The blue clip suspenders have also shipped.   I will now install Windows Defender on the primary computer, and then I will put it on the server.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/25/06 Wednesday 6:25 A.M.:   I went out after the last message.   I went by the Grass Island waterfront park.   I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road.   I then went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop.   I bought a new Ity Bity Book Light for $3.   I chatted with someone from the Midwest.   I then sat out for a while downtown, and I chatted with someone training a German Shepard guard dog in the park.   I then went to my appointment to sign up for energy assistance.   I then returned home.   I chatted with a relative.   Apparently another relative whom was a widow got married.  I rested on the long green Scott family sofa until 1 A.M..   When I rest on the sofa, I keep a sheet and two pillows underneath the French reproduction chair in the living room, and I use one of the blankets on the back of the sofa.  I filled half of a gallon Revere pot with water, and I added dashes of sea salt and a little bit of olive oil, and I brought it to a boil, and I then boiled a 16 ounce box of Ronzoni vermicelli for 8 minutes, and I strained the water off through a colander placed in another pot.   I dumped the hot water from the pot down the bathroom sink drain to clean it out.   While doing that, I took the contents of a 26 ounce jar of Tuttorossa Marinara sauce, and  I left half of the contents back in the jar, which I put in the refrigerator, and I put the other half in a microwave proof pot with lid, and I heated it on one vegetable cycles in the General Electric microwave oven while the vermicelli was cooking.   I put half of the cooked vermicelli in a flat Rubbermaid container with lid, and I put it in the refrigerator, and I put the other half on a dinner plate with the tomato sauce on top, and I added four tablespoons of grated parmesan, and I ate it all with a glass of iced tea.   I then washed the dishes.   I then rested on the area rug on the floor in front of the French reproduction chair with the same pillow and blanket.   I did not feel like opening up my bed.   I attached a 6 foot extension cord behind the right bedroom night stand, and I connected the electric blanket and the Ity Bity book light to it.   I placed the Ity Bity book light on the speaker above the night stand to have ready for reading in bed.   I stopped by the Greenwich Health department yesterday 1-203-622-3774, and they are having flu clinics for flu and pneumonia shots on Wednesday November 8, 2006 at Christ Church, 354 East Putnam Avenue, 3 to 7 P.M.,  Tuesday November 14, 2006 at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center Harding Road, Old Greenwich,  3 to 6 P.M., and Monday November 27, 2006 at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center on Harding Road, Old Greenwich from 3 to 7 P.M., and on Thursday November 30, 2006 at the Greenwich Town Hall at 101 Field Point Road from 4 to 8 P.M..  A flu shot costs $20 or one can use Medicare.  I get mine at the Greenwich Hospital outpatient clinic since my state Medicaid pays for it there.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/24/06 Tuesday 12:20 P.M.:  I signed up for my www.optimumrewards.com card.   I broke three large eggs in a bowl, and I added a couple of tablespoons of milk, a teaspoon of olive oil, dashes of Oregano and Italian Seasoning, and I whisked it all together.   I then put a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a stick proof frying pan, and I heated it on medium high electric heat, once the oil became hot, I added the egg mixture, and once it began to solidify, I made a batch of scrambled eggs.   While doing that I also put three pieces of paper towel on a microwave proof plate, and five strips of Smithfield double thick bacon and on top of that two paper towels, and I put a plate plastic microwave lid on it, and I microwaved it for 4.5 minutes.   I toasted two English muffin halves, which I put a little bit of olive on.    I ate it all with a glass of iced tea.   I went out, and I threw out some garbage.   I picked up my mail.   I will now shut down the primary computer system, and I will go out for another routine daytime adventure and for my 3 P.M. appointment to sign up for Energy Assistance.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/22/06 Sunday 5:10 P.M.:   I did some bottom fishing on the internet.   I can get this Overstock.com: Logisys 15-inch UV Cold Cathode Light Kit w/Sound Control : Computers & Hardware to replace the broken light in the server, but I think I will hold off.   I moved the cranberry pattern throw rug from underneath the computer chair to in front of the telephone chair at the apartment entrance.   I moved the dark green and dark pine throw rug from that location into the kitchen entrance.   I moved the white with color pattern throw rug from the kitchen entrance to  the walk through area in front of the French Antique reproduction chair.   Thus the apartment looks a little more presentable.   Also the computer chair slides around a little bit more easily on its wheels.   I chatted with a friend.  I put the tea in the refrigerator to become iced tea.  CIO

Note:<888> 10/22/06 Sunday 2:35 P.M.:   I finished the Vista Complete PC backup of my computer.   I threw out some garbage, and I chatted with some neighbors.   I brought up yesterday's mail.   I then went downtown, and I stopped by CVS, and I bought a 12 pack of Kleenex Cottonelle double roll toilet tissue for $5.99, two bottles of buy one get one 50% off of 60 capsule MSM 1000 mg. for $6.79 and $3.39 and two 12 packs of Thomas' English muffins for $1.99 each, plus .36 tax for $20.51 total.   I then walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.   I sat out at various locations.   During my walk, I stopped by the Greenwich Cigar store across the street from the Greenwich train station, and I asked the sales agent from India if the god Shiva would chose the easiest game card, and he gave me for a dollar a Powerball PowerPlay with numbers "05, 14, 21, 35, 47, / and power number 29".  During my tour of the Greenwich train station, I chatted with a young couple going into visit Manhattan, and I wished them a good trip.   I walked back up Greenwich Avenue, and I stopped by CVS again, and I picked up a prescription, and I bought for .99 a 3 ounce jar of Gold Emblem chicken bouillon powder.   I completed my walk, and I sat out for a while.   I noticed a Rolls Royce from Georgia, so I guess somebody down south has some money.  I then returned home.   I put away my purchases.   I cut the remaining five .25 inch thick slices of cold eye round of beef, and I put horse radish and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce on them.   I put about an inch of water in a two quart Revere pot with steamer tray, and I added about 1.25 cups of broccoli crowns and baby carrots, and I steamed them on medium high electric heat for about 15 minutes.   For the last five minutes of that cycle, I put the Rubbermaid container of cooked rice in the microwave oven on vegetable cycle.   I put the rice on the dinner plate with the meat along with a small amount of Kikkoman soy sauce on the rice.  I put the steamed vegetables in a bowl with a little bit of olive oil.   I ate it all with a glass of ice tea.  I am now making up a batch of Formula One http://mikelouisscott.com/icetea.htm , which should be ready to dilute and put in the refrigerator in an hour and a half.   CIO

End of Scott's Notes week of 10/22/06:

Note:<888> 10/22/06 Sunday 8:45 A.M.:   I went to bed after the last message.   About 7 P.M., a neighbor checked on me, and I showed the neighbor my new rug.   I slept until 4 A.M..   I installed Internet Explorer 7 on my three XP computers.   I did a XP ASR backup of the server and the primary computer.  I changed both of those computer color schemes to silver from blue with black backgrounds.   I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes.  I showered, and I cleaned up.  I cleaned up my favorites on the primary computer.   I will send out my weekly notes shortly, and then I will do a Complete PC backup of the primary computer with Vista Beta RC2 build 5744.   It does seem like I am having do a lot of computer maintenance lately, and it sometimes seems like I spend 80% of my time maintaining the computers versus using them.    CIO

Note:<888> 10/22/06 Sunday 4:55 P.M.:   I ate 3 scoops of almond praline ice cream.   I listened to the http://mikelouisscott.com/music7/ww2great.htm .  FedEx delivered the Overstock.com: Hand-knotted Green Aubusson Wool Rug (3'x 5' Oval) : Home Decor .  It is slightly different than the picture.   As described it is 3 foot by 5 foot in a oval shape which looks better in the location I placed it in between the dining table and the Ethan Allen recliner in the area where one walks towards the computer.   http://mikelouisscott.com/photo/hand-knotted-green-aubusson-wool-rug-3-foot-by-5-foot-oval-102106.JPG .  I tucked the knotted ends underneath the carpet, so they do not get caught in the vacuum cleaner.  I have two of the dining chairs sitting on it.   I put coaster underneath the telephone table legs to protect the carpet from wear.   It looks quite nice in the apartment.  Its quiet tones will look even better in the evening lights.   I will now shut down the computer, and I will go to bed soon.   CIO

Note:<888> 10/21/06 Saturday 12:55 P.M.:   I chatted with a relative.  Over the evening and morning, I ate a 5.5 ounce tube of Pringle sour cream and onion potato chips with some iced tea.   I chatted with a relative.   From what I can tell off the internet, the Northern Pacific Railroad Terrific! It's Northern Pacific! and The West in Railroad Advertising: 1883-1911 must be a private railroad, since they do not maintain much of a current web presence .  New railroad artifact eBay: METAL TRAY CURRIER IVES 1864 IRON HORSE RAILROAD SCENE (item 300039079603 end time Oct-25-06 20:00:00 PDT) .   I will now go through my email.   Not much happening around here anymore.   With the higher prices of fuel, people are mostly staying home reading, doing household chores, or watching a little bit of television.   We do manage to make it downtown two or three days a week, and it seems to me, not much has changed in downtown Greenwich, Connecticut; but more people seem to be shopping locally instead of traveling longer distances, so the local business community actually seems to be doing a bit better with the local residents whom tend to be affluent, not to mention the gasoline stations.   I chatted with a relative, and I will now go through my email.  CIO

Note:<888> 10/21/06 Saturday 10:45 A.M.:   I received my Connecticut Renter's Rebate recently, so I went ahead and paid my next month's www.geico.com, www.cablevision.com , and www.cl-p.com bills which were close to $400 in bills, so I will not spend anymore money on items that I might be able to get by without.   I figure paying bills ahead of time is like keeping money in bank.   Thus my bill payment cycle at the first of November 2006 will be less intense.   Of course I will not be doing my Christmas shopping this Christmas with my Renter's Rebate, since I will have spent it, so Christmas will be less glamorous.   Thus this is sort of like Christmas at Halloween time.   The fixed bills will keep lifestyle activity to a minimum.   Tracking on the Aubusson rug with over a $300 discount, the http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=1168381 that I ordered it for $84.99 less $1.95 coupon plus a $1 shipping for $84.04 total is FedEx | Track , and it is out for delivery.   CIO
