Christmas 2006

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years,

This past year for me has been another long adventure with working with personal computers and being online on the internet.   I have spent most of my free time working with the computer setup I have in my apartment.   I was given a free copy of Microsoft’s new Vista Ultimate edition of software that I beta tested for a year and a half, so I am up to date on operating systems.   I spend a lot of my free time on the internet doing what I call “bottom fishing” looking for low cost items that I can use shopping on the internet.   Needless to say my computer operation is running just fine.

My relatives are doing just fine.   I visited with them down in Vero Beach, Florida this past February and again in Kennebunkport, Maine this past July.   Several of my relatives spend a great deal of time on the internet, so my web sites let them know what I am up to.

We are suppose to have warmer weather this winter, but I still follow tropical weather hurricane patterns and volcanic activity on the internet.   Greenwich, Connecticut is busy as usual.   They are building a new Presbyterian Church and a new police station.   The new Greenwich hospital Watson pavilion is finished, and a great many of the town’s residents use its facilities.   With the higher prices for fuel, I do not drive too much anymore, and I tend to stay local in the area driving the five miles downtown and back regularly.   I spent most of the warmer summer days by the air conditioner in my apartment working on the computer.

Hopefully in the following year, there will be more peace in the world, and the long drawn out war with Iraq will begin to come to an end.   With the internet I am more fully informed on world events, but I tend to spend most of my internet time reading technical information.   Since I have unlimited long distance dialing in the U.S.A. and Canada, I spend a great deal of time on the telephone.   Once again I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.
