Dear Family and Friends,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years during this Holiday Season. I hope you all
had an enjoyable and prosperous year, and wish you the same for the coming year. This
past year, I have been keeping busy once again on the internet maintaining a night
schedule about half my time. I seem to have reached the point where I can start returning
to a normal life routine, without quite so much all night internet activity. Still I keep busy
with my daily internet routines. I have upgraded my computer system where, it is pretty
much state of the art. I am now waiting for cable modems to become installed in this area,
which should provide internet access up to 50 times faster.
My internet routines involve reading news stories and technology stories on a daily
basis. I have completed working on my downloadable internet directory, and am just
doing some minor updates. There is so much content on the internet one can hardly expect
to keep track of it all. Still once the weather gets colder this winter, I will have plenty of
time to use its resources.
Locally here in Greenwich, I still frequently use the Greenwich library reading
mostly computer technology press. The library addition is progressing along, and is
mostly enclosed now before winter. I also enjoy walks up and down Greenwich Avenue in
the evenings, and occasionally in the daytime when the weather is warmer around Tod's
Point. I keep weather eye around the water front, and have pretty much worked out a
routine, I don't think to much about, I just go through the paces.
Greenwich seems to have slowed down a bit, but we still see a large cross section of
visitors and travelers from neighboring communities. It still is an interesting town for
people watching, once one becomes accustomed to the pace of life. I suppose maintaining
my night schedule half the time, I am not totally in tune with the entire community, but
having lived here for a good deal of time since 1961, I have my own viewpoint of the town's
evolution.
I made it up to Kennebunkport this summer to visit with mother for a few days and
she is doing well. I suppose with different family members in diverse locations, we all have
our own sense of national identity. Well once again have a Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Years, and give my best to your families and friends.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years,
                                                             Michael Louis Scott
