10/23/25 Thursday 8:10 A.M. I chatted with a relative. I woke up at 7 A.M. I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, fruit cocktail, English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and an instant coffee inside. I rested until 8:00 A.M.
10/22/25 Wednesday 5:25 P.M. Off Netflix, I watched series 3 episode 1 of, "The Diplomant." I will now shut down the HP laptop computer, and I will go to bed.
10/22/25 Wednesday 4:30 P.M. I chatted with a friend. I will now eat four White Castle cheeseburger sliders with a glass of watered down cranberry juice.

10/22/25 Wednesday 11:35 A.M. On channel 79, I am watching a program about Heinrich Rickover. He supposedly was down in Key West back in 1977, when I was down there.
10/22/25 Wednesday 11:00 A.M. I showered, and I cleaned up. I went by the Greenwich Library, and I read the New York Times and U.S.A. Today. I used the bathroom there. My social worker had emailed me about the River House Daytime Elder Day Care in Cos Cob, so I went by there River House Adult Day Center. It is $125 a day, but there could be a sliding scale. I then went back to the Wallace Senior and the Arts Center, and I got a coffee for $1.75, and I drank it on the bench in front of the building. I then returned home, and I filed this report.

I then went downtown to the Veterans bench, and I sat out for about an hour. I then did a tour of www.cvs.com . I then returned home, and I filed this note.

10/21/25 Tuesday 11:15 A.M. Starting October 20 through October 26, they are repaving Greenwich Avenue at night and also doing work on it during the daytime, so the usual traffic patterns on Greenwich Avenue are disrupted.
10/21/25 Tuesday 10:55 A.M. I went to the Greenwich Library, and I read the New York Times and the Greenwich Time. I used the bathroom there. I then sat out in front of the Wallace Senior and the Arts Center for about an hour. I got a free cup of coffee there, since their scanning machine was not working. I also used the bathroom there. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I got a 16 pack of White Castle cheeseburger sliders for $16.99. They have new card scanning machines on their terminals, and they do not work with EBT Food Stamp cards, so the cashier has to enter the card number manually. I returned home. I put away the food. I filed this report.

10/20/25 Monday 3:50 P.M. If one looks at the J.P. Morgan sign on the building across the street from the Greenwich Library, there are a half dozen other financial firms listed on the same sign.

10/20/25 Monday 3:45 P.M. I picked up the mail. I cleaned off the desk some more.
10/20/25 Monday 3:15 P.M. I channel surfed. I chatted with a friend for a long time. I used my new Black and Decker dust buster to clean up some dusty spots. Off the upper center kitchen cabinet, I removed the vitamins and supplements that I no longer use, and I put them on the wire rack at the bedroom entrance. I will now go outside and drink an instant coffee. Quiet days at home can be enjoyable. Relatives might be taking me out for lunch at Citrella at noon on this Friday.

10/20/25 Monday 11:35 A.M. For lunch I will eat a Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, and cheese croissant with a glass of watered down cranberry juice. No roast beef sandwiches for lunch anymore.
10/20/25 Monday 11:35 A.M. I went to the Greenwich Library, but none of the four newspapers that I regularly read were available. I then sat out downtown at the Veterans bench for a half hour. Not many people were around. I then tried to go back to the Greenwich Library, but the parking lot was filled up. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.50 and two 15 ounce Hungryman turkey dinners for $3 each for $7.50 total. I then retuned home, and I put the food away. I drank an instant coffee outside. I filed this report.

I chatted with a younger photographer who attends a local school. I met his father that has a publication called Outdoor magazine. When I disconnected the living room portable air conditioner, I ripped one of the six inch exhaust hoses, which I will have to replace before I install it this spring Amazon.com : air conditioner tube hose.

My friend that went to Portugal with his wife is distantly related to the family that use to own the Florida East Coast railroad from what I can figure out from the internet. 10/18/25 Saturday 4:30 P.M. I went downtown, and I sat out in front of the Wallace Senior and the Arts Center for about two hours watching the "No King" rally with about two thousand people. It was a peaceful event with younger people trying to make a point. After the rally an older man walked by dressed as a King. I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I used the bathroom there. I sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce park for over an hour. At the CFCF coffee shop, I bought a coffee for $4.40, and I drank it in the park. I then returned home. I picked up the mail. I filed this report.

It comes of from St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan.

I then went to the Greenwich Library, and I read the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. I then returned home. I picked up the mail. The painter finished painting the bathroom, and it looks quite nice. Everything is put back in order. I left the bathroom fan turned on to get rid of the smell of paint.

At the CFCF coffee shop, I bought a croissant for $4.56, and I ate it in the park. I used the bathroom there. I then went to the Greenwich Library, and I read the New York Times, U.S.A. Today, and the Greenwich Time and Time Magazine. I used the bathroom there. I then returned home. They were still working on the hot water tank. I went back out to Citrella, and I bought a turkey and avocado wrap with a cup of coffee for $12.33. I then had a picnic in the Greenwich Common. I chatted with a relative on my cell phone. I used the bathroom at the Wallace Senior and the Arts Center. I then returned home. They were all done installing the new hot water tank. I put the stuff that I had moved back in its place. I chatted with a relative. I think I will take a nap. It has been a long day.

I am about to eat a 15.5 ounce Hungryman chicken dinner with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar. In the two years out on Nantucket, when I was earning $2.15 an hour as a pot scrubber and dishwasher, I would occasionally get a roast beef sandwich from the A&P on the waterfront for about $7.

I was told about this book by my friends yesterday Amazon.com: The Haves and Have-Yachts (Audible Audio Edition): Evan Osnos, Evan Osnos, Simon & Schuster Audio: Books . It is on hold at the Greenwich Library. They also explored the new Waldorf Astoria yesterday. They said it was a bit dark. I sat out briefly in front of the Wallace Senior and the Arts Center. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a 12 pack of Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, and cheese croissants for $14.49, a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.99, four 20 ounce cans of Stop and Shop pineapple chunks for $2.29 each can, and four 15 ounce cans of Stop and Shop fruit cocktail for $1.99 each for $36.60 total. I then returned home. I put away the food. I filed this report.

We walked lower Greenwich Avenue and part way up Greenwich Avenue. We then drove the length of Greenwich Avenue. I then took my friends to the 1:48 P.M. train to Manhattan. I then returned home. I picked up the mail. I filed this report. I will now go outside and drink an instant coffee.

10/06/25 Monday 6:00 P.M. When I lived down South, my family attended the First Presbyterian Church every Sunday. When my family moved to this area, we also attended the Round Hill Community Church. At Greenwich Country Day school we also had church services every week day. At the Taft in Watertown, Connecticut, we had Sunday Church service for the whole school at the First Congregational Church in town, but I attended the early communion service at the Anglican church on the Green. At Lake Forest College which was a Presbyterian College, I did not attend church very much. When my family moved back to Greenwich in June of 1973 from the Boston area, my family attended the Second Congregational Church. When I was in Manhattan, I had friends that attended St. Bartholomew's Church on the North Side of the Waldorf Astoria. Once when I came back to Greenwich in December 1983, I attended a church event at the Round Hill Community Church, when Bishop Moore from St. John's Cathedral spoke at the Round Hill Community Church. I also had a friend in Manhattan whose family owned the Limestone Quarry in Bloomington, Indiana that supplied the Limestone for St. John's in Manhattan and the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. I also once attended Christmas Eve service at Christ Church in Greenwich, and then I drove into St. John's to attend the Christmas Eve service there. For years I was on a night schedule, so I was not awake in the daytime on Sundays to attend church. On my five trips to Europe, I explored a number of churches, and on the last trip in 1992, I went to Notre Dame in Paris, France. There were also a lot of Quakers out on Nantucket.
10/06/25 Monday 5:45 P.M. The last time I went to church was for a relative's wedding about five years ago. I personally believe in practicing religion privately at home. When one tries to go to church, they frequently try to involve one in other non religious activities. Still as I get older I might need the friendship of other Christians in my own way or whatever comes along.

I then returned home. My only local friend whom I have chatted with for forty years does not want me to call so much, so we will only talk every two or three days.

10/01/25 Wednesday 11:10 A.M. I went to Riverside towing, and they quickly reset the computer codes on my car. I then went to the Emissions place in Old Greenwich at the Shell Stations, and I passed my emissions test Index of /volvo-ems . I then went to the Riverside Acme, and I bought three 42 ounce Smart Balance spread for $29.97. I also chatted with three people on my cell phone. I then returned home, and I filed this report.
10/01/25 Wednesday 8:55 A.M. I chatted with a friend. I woke up at 6:30 A.M. I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, fruit cocktail, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and an instant coffee inside. I rested until 8:30 A.M.
I paid my Optimum and Verizon bills.
