It come with a year's worth of Office 365 and can be upgraded to Windows 11. 08/31/22 Wednesday 9:35 P.M. I went out to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a five gallon bottle with bottle return of Primo Vermont Spring water for $6.99. I then went by the www.chase.com Bank ATM machine at Deerfield Place. I then drove down to the Board of Education Veterans monuments, and I sat out for a while. I chatted with a relative. I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com . I then went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a 15 ounce Wish Bone Italian dressing for $2, from the clearance section I bought Stop and Shop whole wheat English muffins for $1.44, and I also bought two Boston Market Salisbury steak meals for $3 each for $9.44 total. I then returned home. I used my little cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water. I put the other groceries away. I put the little cart and Gray bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside. I filed this report. I will now go outside again. CIO

08/31/22 Wednesday 6:05 P.M. I rested until 5 P.M.. I went outside. I picked up the mail. I took two 3.75 ounces tins of Bumble Bee sardines in oil and a 5 ounce tin of drained Bumble Bee solid white albacore tuna fish, and I mixed it together with Wish Bone creamy Caesar dressing, and I ate it all with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice and two medium small baked potatoes with Smart Balance spread. I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.

I took two slices of toasted Pepperidge Farm whole wheat with seeds bread, and I put Hellmann's mayonnaise on them, and I added eight 1/32nd inch thick slices of Stop and Shop sliced turkey and six 1/32nd inch thick slices of Stop and Shop provolone cheese and a few teaspoons of Heinz dill pickle relish, and I cut the sandwich in half, and I ate it with two medium small baked potatoes with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee. CIO
08/30/22 Tuesday 5:15 P.M. I went downtown to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I bought six 3.75 ounce Beach Cliff sardines in soy oil for $8 total. I sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce park across the street. I then drove down to the Senior and the Arts Center. I sat out for a while. All together, I paid $2.25 in quarters parking downtown. I then returned home. I sat outside. I put away the sardines. CIO
08/30/22 Tuesday 2:35 P.M. I threw out the old diapers. I will now go downtown to forage around. CIO
08/30/22 Tuesday 2:00 P.M. I will now shower and clean up. To turn on the bedroom LAN, one also has to turn on one of the two net switches to the right of the primary work computer. CIO
08/30/22 Tuesday 1:30 P.M. I went outside. I unpacked it. I attached its legs. I put a heavy wire on the back with screws, and I hung it on the bedroom desk wall to the molly bolt there. Before that I attached it to a LAN cable, a coaxial air antenna, the Apple Imac with HDMI, and another Laptop with HDMI. To turn on the power for the LAN and the television, one has to turn on the power strip on the far right of the bedroom desk. I updated the software and configured a few apps. It all seems to work just fine. I move the spare Lasko box fan from in front of the bedroom desk to in front of the left living room closet. I moved the Hoover upright vacuum and its accessories from the right side of the bedroom to on top of the Queen Ann chair by the living room windows. Thus the bedroom desk area is more clear. The coaxial air feeds the television about 8 channels. I had to use wire tweezers to get the screws in place for the legs which screws are a couple of inches recessed in the legs. I left the television remote control on the Brother laser printer on the right side of the desk with the instructions. I threw out the shipping box. I drank a brewed coffee. I will now go outside again.

I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store. They have one cheap Tracfone behind the front counter for $40. I then drove down a deserted Greenwich Avenue and back home. I put away my groceries. I went outside, and I put the Gray bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee. We have been having a Bob Cat prowling around the woods and dumpster area recently at night along with the usual family of raccoons. I filed this report. I will now go outside again. CIO

I tried to go by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop, but their parking lot was filled up. I sat outside. I then made a brewed coffee, and I sat outside and drank it. Back around February 1975, on three zero degree nights, when Fred Von Mierers, George Nichols from John Street in Greenwich and myself moved Mrs. Earle Kress Williams from the gate house of her 40 acre estate on the waterfront in Oyster Bay near Sagamore Hill to a house next to the Fire House in Locust Valley, I tried to get the old grandfather's clock going to no avail. In return Helen William took Fred and myself to Sunday dinner at the Winter Club out there. I also visited a pub near the house called Sporters that had a lot of youth dress in orange parka which I guess symbolized the house of Orange Nassau in Nassau County. I also noticed in a local deli, they were selling Ringness Norwegian beer, and according to a relative's library in Kennebunkport, the King of Norway https://www.royalcourt.no/ was a member of https://www.seawanhaka.org/ in Oyster Bay during World War II, so there were probably other Norwegians out there that knew how to manage the waterfront. Shortly after we moved Helen, she supposedly died in Glen Cove, Long Island driving her self in a car wreck, but when I was down in Key West starting in the fall of 1976, there was a women with a tan that looked a bit like her around the Kress Department store there. Charlie Mueller up in www.nantucket.net told me she had died in the summer of 1975. So, I do not know what the real story was. I also read in the New York Times, the Russian Consulate has had eves dropping equipment since World War II to eves drop on the south short of Connecticut, so be careful in chatting around our water front. I think it is a dollar for four minutes anywhere in the world. Well sometimes, people lose their cells phones and need a pay phone. They do have cheap cell phones at CVS, and one can buy a minute card there to go with them. I think they are behind the front counter. I have a couple of spare ones that I have not used. Mine are TracFone ones, but the CVS web site no longer shows them.

I bought $20.01 of self service premium gasoline at $5.199 a gallon for 3.848 gallons at odometer reading of 123159 miles for 57.7 miles driven since Tuesday August 9, 2022 for 14.995 miles per gallon in local traffic. I then went to www.mcdonalds.com on West Putnam Avenue. I bought breakfast special of an Egg McMuffin and hash brown for $3 and .22 tax for $3.22 total. I then bought a medium coffee with Splenda sweetener and half and half for $1.39 and .10 tax for $1.49. I then ate my breakfast in front of the Senior and the Arts Center. I sat out for a while. I walked lower Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat out across from the train station. I explored the train station lobby. They still do not have any pay phones there. They even took away the one that is a dollar for any where in the world for four minutes, but I think one like it is in the Greenwich Hospital lobby. I tested my State of Connecticut EBT Food Stamps card at the Citibank ATM at that location. I then sat out some more at the Senior and the Arts Center, and I chatted with a friend. I bought two 13 ounce Marie Callender chicken Alfredo meals for $3.50 each, four 5.4 ounce Yoplait mixed berry yogurts for .89 each, a 42 ounce Smart Balance spread for $7.99, a 48 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.29, and a 59 ounce Florida Natural ruby red grapefruit juice for $3.56 for $27.34 total. Back in the 1970s, Steve Swift drove a taxi cab in Greenwich and worked at the tennis courts at the Greenwich Country Club. He later ended up on www.nantucket.net selling smoked pheasants. He had 14 brothers and sisters back in Lake Forest, so they were well networked. He looked a bit like President Ford's son Steve Ford. CIO

Since none of my long time contacts have ever contacted me during my many years of living out in Greenwich, Connecticut; I guess none of them think anyone in Greenwich is worth while. I will now go downtown to Green Witch Avenue to see the early morning rush. CIO
08/16/22 Tuesday 2:15 A.M. From December 1980 to February 1982, when I lived at Julie Bolton's apartment at 315 West 74th Street at the Van Dusen town house with her white German Shepard and Doberman Pincher that I walked a lot, I was in the Lincoln Center neighborhood, and I walked around Lincoln Center lots of times. They had a 24 hour www.mcdonalds.com on the back side of Lincoln Center which served dried out hamburgers. Back in 1974, when Fred Von Mierers was busy, he had me pick Helen Kress Williams up at her apartment on East 68th Street and Madison Avenue across from Halstead's dress shop. We took a local bus through Central Park to Lincoln Center to see the Metropolitan Opera, and I guess Helen was a patron, since she had the head table at the Opera Guild. Fred used to also eat at the Opera House out on Nantucket. Fred had a major duomo which is like a butler who was a very large man named Ed Powers whom delivered food, laundry, and other items at 420 East 49th Street. He also kept an eye on the neighborhood. More recently, about fifteen yeas ago, a friend of mine in this area that grew up next to Helen Clay Frick in Bedford took me to Lincoln Center to see the Australian ballet on a hot summer's evening. When I was as Julie's apartment, I once stood outside Lincoln Center to see Prince Charles arrive for an event. Another friend from Illinois Tom McMurray had an apartment on East 13th street just east of the www.forbes.com building across the street from Asti's where a lot of the opera stars worked as waiters. John Fairchild's Fairchild publications was next to it, and they also owned Women's Wear Daily which used to be popular celebrity press. When I lived in Florence, Italy in the winter of 1972, I lived near the Opera House, but I never attended. However, next to my Pensione Adria there was a pub full of a lot of colorful characters out of the Opera with long hair liked something out of the Court of Louis XIV. The same friend from Illinois in Manhattan had a mother whose boy friend in Illinois was Dieter Coburn who was in charge of the Chicago Chamber Music orchestra. CIO

She also told me back in 1882, when Krackatoa erupted there was a fifteen foot snow fall in Manhattan. She also said that we should keep an eye on the young Jimmy Eldert for some odd reason. Helen was a friend of Alice Roosevelt, so she was part of the Old Guard republicans. Her son Claude Williams was the largest highway contractor in America out of Houston. CIO

08/15/22 Monday 5:05 A.M. I ate 14 generic whole wheat Ritz crackers with little slices about 1 inch by 1 inch by 3/32nds inch of Holland Dutch Gouda cheese. The Dutch are supposed to be the biggest people in the world since for generations they have eaten a lot of dairy products. When I went to Greenwich Country Day school, I had a Dutch classmate that was about 6 foot 8 inches tall, when he was only 15 years old. I mixed a 16 ounce can of Bush's Maple and Cured Bacon baked beans with two drained and sliced 4 ounce cans of Armour Vienna franks which I seasoned with garlic power, ground black pepper, Italian spices, Lowry's seasoned salt, cayenne peppper, Frank's hot sauce, soy sauce, and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, and I mixed it all together. I have put half of it in a microwave proof soup bowl with microwave lid, and I microwaved it for five minutes. I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice and a baked potato with Smart Balance spread. The Armour family lived in Lake Bluff, Illinois near www.lakeforest.edu and Lacey Armour was the niece of Czar Nicholas of Russia. CIO

When Elvis died, as I recall I just quit my job as a pot scrubber at the Gordon Folger Hotel on Nantucket, and I had just started scrubbing pots at Le Languedoc restaurant out on Nantucket, when I heard about it. On my simple lifestyle living at Flossie's at 31 India Street for $5 a night, I did not have a television to watch the news of the event. However, my friend Jimmy Eldert was busy working as a bus boy at the India House on India Street, but I hardly ever saw him around. I mixed a 16 ounce can of Bush's Maple and Cured Bacon baked beans with two drained and sliced 4 ounce cans of Armour Vienna franks which I seasoned with garlic power, ground black pepper, Italian spices, Lowry's seasoned salt, Frank's hot sauce, soy sauce, and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, and I mixed it all together. I have put half of it in a microwave proof soup bowl with microwave lid, and I microwaved it for five minutes. I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar. The Armour family lived in Lake Bluff, Illinois near www.lakeforest.edu and Lacey Armour was the niece of Czar Nicholas of Russia. I will now go outside again. CIO
