I chatted with a Starbucks regular. We walked down to Zyn Stationary, and we sat in front of it for a while. If you noticed in this picture Queen Elizabeth II has a Dyson Fan in her reception room U.K. news https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-49511731 , so I guess it is cooler in England which is 1750 miles further north than Hudson Bay, Canada; so I guess they do not use air conditioning there. I know they also drink their beer at room temperature. There is nothing wrong in drinking beer in moderation. In the first settlement of the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock in America, the early settlers died young that drank the poor quality water, but the early settlers that drank beer lived into their 70s. Beer with its ingredients has the same nutrition has bread. Even in Williamsburg, Virginia which I visited a couple of times, they drank beer out of salt pottery mugs which I still have a couple of. I filled one with ashes and a few coins and sealed with red wax thinking that it was the remains of a friend that somebody had given to a friend who dumped it in my Danish cookie tin where I used to keep my cigarette ashes, when I was allowed to smoke cigarettes in my apartment. I then went across the street to the Stop and Shop. I bought a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return for $7.99, a 8 pack of large eggs expire October 9, 2019 for $1.49, a three pack of Natures Promise organic Hearts of Romaine lettuce for $3.99, and two packages of reduced produce tomatoes for $2.07 and $1.72 for $17.23 total. I went by the central Greenwich Post Office, and I mailed the birth certificate duplicate application. I then went downtown to the Board of Education parking lot, and I sat out, and I ate one of the onion bagels. I then drove around the downtown area. I then went by the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $10 of self service premium V-Power gasoline with a dime a gallon off with my Stop and Shop card for $3.399 a gallon for 2.858 gallons at odometer reading of 119432 miles for 36.1 miles driven since Saturday October 24, 2019 for 12.632 miles per gallon in local traffic. I then returned home. I used my little cart to bring up the bottle watered. I put the purchases away. I put the cart and the green bag back in the car. I drank another 12 ounce cold slushy. I printed out my Microsoft Sunset Income versus Spending report for August 2019, and I have it ready to mail to a relative with a 50 cent forever stamp. I filed this report. There were quite a few vacationing diners out and about. At the remodeled Greenwich Cigar store, I bought an Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and I lost. I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com , and I sat out in front of the Senior and the Arts Center watching the dog walkers go about their business. I then went by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted briefly with one of the reference librarians. I then went by the Stop and Shop at 160 West Putnam Avenue. I bought four packages of regular classic Oscar Meyer hotdogs on sale for $2 each down from $4.19, a pound of German potato salad from the deli for $4.58, two 15 ounce bottles of Stop and Shop lime juice for $1.69 each, a 15 ounce bottle of Stop and Shop lemon juice for $1.69, three packages of hotdog rolls for $4 all for $21.65 total. When I examined it, I noticed the connector hose was partially broken probably from the kitchen sink sprayer hose pulling on it. Since the connecting hose has two different dimensions. I cut off the the broken part on the wider section that still fits over the wider copper breather pipe, and to extend it, I connected a piece of garden hose that fits over the smaller connection, and I secured the garden hose with a one inch hose clamp that I had for the portable air conditioner drain hose that I do not need to use. I then secured both ends of the connecting hose with the existing one inch hose clamps. Thus the kitchen sink sprayer hose extends to its full length. I will now go outside.

I then drove around town, and I went by Whole Foods at 90 East Putnam Avenue. I bought a French Bread croissant for a $1, and five 4 inch Aloe plants in terracotta clay pots for $3.99 each and $1.27 tax for $22.22 total. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot, and I sat out, and ate my French Bread bagel. I then chatted with a www.starbucks.com regular. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I bought the $2.07 Peak coffee with a packet of Splenda sweetener and milk. I sat outside drinking it. I then used the bathroom at Starbucks again. I then returned home. I sat outside. I transplanted five Aloe plants into the pots and containers of the five dead ivy plants, and I threw the five dead ivy plants away. I put the five plastic 4 inch pots and the five terracotta 4 inch pots on the left front floor of the left living room closet. Just now, when I was going out for my coffee, just inside the east entrance, there was a little tiny field mouse that would not run away from Big Bad Mike. I sort of got curious, and I started to leave it there. There was a towel on the chair outside the door, so I picked up the tiny little field mouse, which was trying to eat an even tinier cockroach which ran away, and I dropped the field mouse outside, and it ran away. That was the second field mouse that I have rescued in this building in more than 30.5 years. We also have confirmed four new youngsters in the neighborhood which I saw when I drove back home, when our neighbors thought it was only three. They all still have spots. CIO

Thus there is a smaller chair in the kitchen, so the kitchen oven can now be opened. I put the two large broiler pans in the oven to have available. From the left lower kitchen cabinet, I took out three ten packs of Perrier, and I put one of them underneath the half oval table in front of the left living room closet and the other two in the refrigerator. In the left lower kitchen cabinet, I have extra olive oil, V8 juice, grape and raspberry jelly, and the larger plastic bottles of Perrier and a lot of grape, cranberry, and cranberry raspberry juice. I took the spider web frame off the wall behind the kitchen chair, and I hung it above the bedroom closet. That way the kitchen chair goes back again the wall all of the way, and there is room to open the oven door which I never use, since I have the smaller Farberware convection oven on top of the refrigerator. This is why one does not want to be homeless camping out in Florida, and one should stay close to the cement paved areas with wide vistas of what is around one https://www.foxnews.com/science/alligator-florida-naval-base-fence . Gators are very smart and survived with crocs for over 400 million years. There is probably even a big one in the bayou of Mar Largo in Palm Beach with all of the activity around it waiting to chomp on something that comes their way. I was once told on the pier on Steamboat Road in Greenwich, Connecticut; one would not hang out in a pier like that in northern Australia which is tropical, because a big crocodile can jump out of the water over 25 feet or more, and grab one of the pier. My worst nightmare in Greenwich, Connecticut is somebody might smuggle in a big one in from down South and release it in our local waters during the warmer time of year. I have noticed over the years that the large white swans that live in the creek causeway by the Boys Club frequently seem to disappear like something or someone is eating them. There are two million alligators in Florida and fifty thousand crocodiles. The crocodiles like the hot cooling water released by the nuclear power plant in Fort Stewart. I once noticed in Daytona, people like fishing in the inlets which could have similar reptiles. I once checked out the natural beauty of Canaveral National Seashore owned by the Duke of Westminster, and its over 20 miles of barrier island probably have lots of sharks on the ocean side and reptiles on the Indian River side. One should always use a local guide, when one travels to other parts of the world. In other words Mickey Mouse is not a very good security blanket. I will now go outside again. CIO

I moved the Seiki 20 inch television from the far right side of the bedroom desk to above the Polaroid TV in the bedroom. I got out the older Westinghouse 32 inch TV with a line in it, and I put it on the far right side of the bedroom desk on the Rubbermaid hamper at that location. Besides the small ice packs that came with the air water cooler, I could throw in a tray or two of ice cubes in it, and it probably would not interfere with it causing it to leak. I gave the four larger CVS ice packs to the neighbor that I gave the As Seen on TV beach cooler to yesterday. If anyone is thinking of going down south for hotter summer weather in the off season, one can take the www.amtrak.com in the off season from Stamford, Connecticut to Miami for $158 and catch a dog https://www.greyhound.com/ from Miami to Cayo Hueso for $28, and I think there is local bus service from the Miami train station to the Grey Hound bus terminal in Coral Gables. In a plastic microwave proof pot with lid, and I put in a 16 ounce can of B&M baked beans with bacon and onion and two 4 ounce cans of Armour Vienna sausages cut into quarter inch slices. I seasoned it with garlic powder, ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, Lowry's seasoned salt, red cayenne pepper, paprika, Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, A1 Steak Sauce, KC Masterpiece Marinade sauce, Louisiana hot sauce, and McHilney's Tabasco sauce, two heaping tablespoons of grey poupon mustard, and I mixed it all together, and I microwaved it with lid for seven minutes at 60% power, and I will eat half of it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with two ounces of orange and mango juice, and I will refrigerate the other half. Fred Von Mierers' old telephone at 420 East 49th Street at the ground floor apartment on the right still works at 1-212-722-4072. He told me amongst his decorating clients were Barbara Rockefeller whose ex husband was into breeding cattle in Arkansas, and I once met Scott Nelson who worked as a waiter at the Chart House in Dobbs Ferry, New York whose family owned a gourmet meat company in Minnesota, so possibly between the two of them they might come up with some quality free beef for a cook out. Alas, I am on cholestrol medicine, so I am not allowed to eat too much high fat meat or eggs. Of course growing young people tend to get hungry all of the time, as if you did not know it. Maybe some of my old neighbors at www.lfc.edu who were in the meat packing business or were the new money that started www.mcdonalds.com could come up with one of those buy one get one free promotions this summer to keep starving travelers happy. I did notice downtown yesterday that the Subway Sandwich shop towards the top of Greenwich Avenue on the west side now serves a cup of macaroni and cheese, which might be good for a hungry younger person. I put twist ties on each cable, and I put them all in a large black plastic garbage bag with the thicker ones at the bottom, and I stored the cable bag underneath the right rear from the front of the oak dining table. I then got out the folding mahogany made in Viet Nam chair from the back side of the oak dining table, and I put it at the living room desk slid in, so it is available to use with the HP backup computer. With a CVS online coupon, I bought a 12 roll bundle of Scott Toilet paper for $5.49 and another folding lawn chair for half price for $14.99 and $1.30 tax for $21.78 total. I then put my purchases in the car, and I sat outside for a while. I then went back into CVS, and I used the bathroom, and I picked up two prescriptions. I then sat out some more. I then went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop across from the Hamilton Avenue school on Old Track Road, and I bought two French brocade pillows for $8.75 both and a Brita water pitcher for $4 for $10.75 total. I then returned home. I brought up my purchases. I put the two French Brocade pillows on the Queen Anne chair at the hallway entrance, and I moved the two gold pillows from there to the Ethan Allen recliner. I moved the two pink and blue stripe pillows from there to the bed in the bedroom. I put the second folding chair with the other one behind the www.harvard.edu chair to have available for guests at a moments notice. I went outside, and I put the green bag back in the car. I drank a 12 ounce www.lipton.com flavored cold iced tea. I refitted the pipe, so it is now tight. I moved the bathroom garbage can from underneath the sink to on top of the recycle waste paper basket behind the primary work computer chair. I also moved the extra liquid Tide laundry detergent bottles to the left of the Rubbermaid laundry basket, so the laundry basket is easy to remove. I was going to donate to the picnic a 2.5 gallon container of Poland Spring water, but it leaked out its water, so I threw it way. I thought the dampness had come from the cold water cooling machine. I donated to the picnic a 42 bottle of Welch's grape juice, a 48 ounce can of Dole pineapple juice, and two .75 liter bottles of cold 2006 French White Wine. I threw out the garbage. I went downtown to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I sat out across the street in the park. I bought two 16 ounce jars of Picante taco sauce for $2 each, two 14 ounce Kellogg's Special K dried fruit and flakes cereal for $1.99 each, two 1 liter crest Pro Health Mouthwash for $7.49 each, and a folding upright beach chair for half price for $14.99, less a $4 off CVS coupon machine coupon on the Crest Mouthwash and $1.65 tax for $35.60 total. I made five quarts of www.lipton.com flavored iced tea with two gallon Lipton iced tea bags, 16 packets of artificial sweetener, two cups of Simply Orange orange mango juice, three ounces of Borden lemon juice, and three ounces of Borden lime juice. I will now go outside again. I will then shower and clean up, and I will go downtown to Green Witch Avenue to see all of the hoards of summer visitors that come out here for "A Weekend in the Country". CIO
08/18/19 Sunday 9:15 A.M. I cleaned the bathroom sink area with Lysol disinfectant cleaner. I cleaned the toilet and toilet area with Lysol disinfectant cleaner and Clorox toilet bowl cleaner, and I put a new toilet blue cleaner https://www.airdelights.com/BBL-1.html?gclid=CKyutID2s9MCFU5YDQodJgsImA in the toilet tank, and I sprayed it all with Lysol spray. I cleaned the bath tub tiles with Tilex and Lysol spray disinfectant cleaner, and the bath tub with Comet scouring powder, and I sprayed it with Lysol spray. I cleaned the bathroom mirrors with Windex. I cleaned the Kitchen area and Kitchen sink with Lysol spray disinfectant cleaner, and I also used Windex glass cleaner to clean some other mirrors. I vacuumed the entire apartment. I went outside twice, and I threw out the garbage. I will now go outside, and I will drink a 12 ounce glass of cold www.lipton.com flavored iced tea. CIO

In a plastic microwave proof pot with lid, and I put in a 16 ounce can of B&M baked beans with bacon and onion and two 4 ounce cans of Armour Vienna sausages cut into quarter inch slices. I seasoned it with garlic powder, ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, Lowry's seasoned salt, red cayenne pepper, paprika, Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, A1 Steak Sauce, KC Masterpiece Marinade sauce, Louisiana hot sauce, and McHilney's Tabasco sauce, two heaping tablespoons of grey poupon mustard, and I mixed it all together, and I microwaved it with lid for seven minutes at 60% power, and I will eat half of it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar, and I will refrigerate the other half. I sat out some more in front of the Senior and the Arts Center. After a while, I chatted for a while with a Starbucks regular. I then used the bathroom at Starbucks again. I then drove to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. For 75% off, I bought two folding green quadra pod chairs for $7.49 each, and a Medical Alert bracelet for $4.12, and two discounted 32 Downy Fabric protector for $2.94 each down from $7.49 each and $1.59 tax for $26.57 total. I then returned home. The United States Post Office passport employee told me that one can, but the internet say other wise. At www.amtrak.com it is $179 one way from Stamford, Connecticut with a 4.5 hour lay over in Penn Station to transfer to the train to Toronto Union station, abut 18 hours all together. There is no return fair from Toronto with a transfer at Penn Station, so one would have to take the local Metro North from Grand Central Station to Greenwich. There is a subway connection from Penn Station to Times Square and to Grand Central Station. Ones definitely needs a passport, if one flies though. Their bottle return machine does not work either, so one has to get the ticket from the courtesy counter. I then went by www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I bought for half price two 70 sheet boxes of Downy dryer fabric softener sheets for $3.64 each a discounted bottle of Tide 40 ounce Simply laundry detergent for $2.94 and .65 tax for $10.87 total. I then sat out across the street. I then used the bathroom at CVS. I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road. There were about a half dozen fishermen down there, and a lot of new construction is going on down there. I then drove around town, and I went to Whole Foods at 90 East Putnam Avenue. It seems to be a bit cool outside, so I changed from my walking shorts to my sweat pants to be a bit warmer, and I will wear my white golf jacket, when I go outside next. The weather seems to be playing tricks on us this year. I used to know somebody from Brazil, and when that somebody showed up, we used to have a bit of warmer weather particularly in the winter. It seems like summer is over before it even arrived. When I was at my Thursday appointment this past Thursday, there was somebody wearing a hat in Norwegian colors that said "NORWAY". Maybe the Vikings arrived early this year and brought the cooler weather with them. CIO

I made a salad with 65% of a rinsed and ripped Hearts of Romaine lettuce with a drained 5 ounce tin of drained and rinsed and flaked Bumble Bee solid white albacore tuna fish with three quartered campari tomatoes with and three ounces of shredded www.kraft.com five Italian shredded cheese and 2 ounces of New York Texas Toast Caesar croutons and one fourth of a peeled and diced Vidalia onion and 15 medium black pitted olives and two sliced stuffing mushrooms and seasoned with garlic powder and Italian seasoning and ground black pepper and ground fresh chipolte pepper and Lowry's seasoned salt and with grated Parmesan and Romano cheese on it with a dressing made from Inspiration Italian dressing and Kraft Balsalmic vinegarette dressing and extra virgin Goya olive oil two large tablespoons of Grey Poupon mustard and a couple of tablespoons of lime juice mixed all mixed together and then poured over the salad, and I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of cold pineapple and ruby red grapefruit juice with a touch of lime. The Apple Imac Mini late 2012 displays off HDMI 2 off the ONN 42 inch monitor and television. I turned off both air conditioners and the fans in the bedroom. I went outside, and I drank a 12 ounce cup of Maxwell House and Duncan Donuts hazelnut brewed coffee with a packet of artificial sweetener and milk. I just went outside again. It seems to be a bit cooler for this time of year, so maybe we have a colder more frigid winter coming our way. Beside volcanic activity causing colder weather, I have a theory the 15 year cycle of solar flares when they are more dormant also causes cooler weather. When I first moved up North in June 1962, I recall the ponds in Greenwich, Connecticut would have six inches of ice by mid October, so this area has seen colder weather in the past. 08/08/19 Thursday 7:40 P.M. I dusted off my pipe rack and four other smoking pipes, and I put it all on the back side of mahogany round table at the apartment entrance. I also put out a jar with about four ounces five year old Round Hill and Grand Manier pipe tobacco on the pipe rack with a tobacco pouch with a cleaning tool and a couple of pipe cleaners in it. I put the four new butane lighters and pipe filters and cleaning tools and pipe cleaners in the drawer below with three packages of five year old Sir Walter Raleigh pipe tobacco. I filled one of the butane lighters, and although it works, it seems to take two hands to work it, so I will probably continue using Bic lighters. On the left hallway book case on the second shelf down, I have the new pound of Peter Stockabie's Turkish pipe tobacco and two more pounds that are about five years old. I went outside, and smoked my old Prince of Wales pipe with some of the vintage Round Hill and Grand Manier pipe tobacco mixture. I am not sure if the Greenwich Pharmacy at that location was damaged or not. The police in full force responded right away in all of traffic. When I was just outside now at the picnic tables on the east side of the building drinking my iced tea and having a cigar cigarette, I could hear a lot of emergency vehicles moving around in the area. One emergency vehicle drove by with its flashing lights going on West Junior High drive, and after it drove by heading south, there was a muffled explosion like a gun shot or a transformer blowing up. I told one neighbor inside, and I chatted with another neighbor outside, and the other neighbor also heard the muffled gun shot like noise. Maybe with the very damp weather and light drizzle sound just sounds differently. Maybe it was just a kid with some sort of new contraption like the sound of gun fire on their wireless device. I called up Optimum, they reset the bedroom cable box. I changed the Display settings with the Cable Box remote control. However, when it did not work again on 106, I retested my HDMI connections, and that finally fixed it; so maybe I just had a lose HDMI connection from when I installed the new sound bar. I then bought a five pack of Bic Lighters for $7.79 and .49 tax for $8.28 total. I used the bathroom at CVS. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot. I walked the lower Greenwich Avenue area and the train station area and back up Arch Street. I chatted with someone from Indiana catching an Uber ride to the Doral Arrowood nearby. I chatted with a local for a while. I then drove the local to the Shell Station at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I dropped the local off to get coffee. I bought $11.01 of self service V-Power Gasoline $3.599 a gallon for 3.058 gallons at odometer reading of 119320 miles for 35.6 miles driven since Sunday July 28, 2019 for 11.642 miles per gallon in local traffic. I gave the old 42 inch Vizio television in the bedroom to a neighbor, and the neighbor helped bring it down with my little cart from the back of the car. The neighbor had a newer cable box, and the Vizio TV would not work with an HDMI cable, so I got a three foot coaxial cable, and I hooked it up with that, and it works just fine in the new location. I also gave the neighbor the power cord and its Vizio remote control. I will now go outside again, and I will drink a 12 ounce glass of cold iced tea. I will put the new ONN television in the old Vizio TV location in the bedroom, and it is the same as my primary work computer monitor, so if the primary work computer monitor ever burns out, I will have a quick replacement for it. I think subconsciously I always know what I am doing, but I find it difficult to explain in layman's terms. CIO

I moved the Vivitar Bluetooth Tower speaker from the right side of the primary work computer, and I put it on the left side rear of the kitchen chair, so when it is turned on, it automatically connects Bluetooth to the Alexa 5 inch display in the kitchen for better sound quality at that location. I went outside. I will now go outside again, and I will drink a cold Lipton iced tea. All is pretty much quiet here in the tiny southwestern corner of the third smallest state in the nation near the gigantic Metropolis of the New York City Metropolitan area that has 56 million people within 150 miles of it, if one likes seeing a lot of traffic if that is one's desire to venture out on our labyrinth of highways in this rather busy sector of the country. Before my dishwashing career, I used to have a part time job in Henry's Bakery in Nantucket where the girls using the Duchess bakery equipment to make grinder rolls and donuts and Portuguese bread like listening to the WABC traffic report from New York City while they summered on the rather remote island of www.nantucket.net . It is really sort of way out there in the middle of no where. Its year round population is about 7,500 with some French Canadians doing a lot of maintenance, and but its summer population swells up to over fifty thousand people, so its essential services like electricity can be over taxed, and then they suddenly find themselves vacationing by candle light. I remember one hot summers eve with the windows open on India Street, and I could hear a couple walking down the street for about fifteen minutes, and they kept saying over and over, "Three Hours for an Egg Salad Sandwich", which I thought was rather amusing. Things do seem to slow down a bit out there in the summer heat. They do not really have the generator capacity for the summer people to have too much air conditioning. Their generator company in England was sold to the Germans. CIO

We then drove up to CVS, and the Starbucks regular bought some diet www.coke.com for three 12 packs for $11 plus $1.80 can deposit and tax. We then sat out in the park across the street. I chatted with a relative who was upset with me on splurging on $10 for a gift of two LED lanterns. I was told to watch what little money that I have. I then helped deliver the diet Coke. I then returned home. I drank a cup of brewed Maxwell House coffee with Dunkin Donuts hazelnut coffee in it with a packet of artificial sweetener and milk. I filed this report.

I move the small pink Varnado fan from on top of the late 2012 Apple Imac mini to the left of the 49 inch Insignia television to on top of the Brother laser printers to right of the primary work computer for cooler air in the primary computer work area. I moved the larger black Varnado fan from on top of the Xerox all purpose machine to the living room window area to the left of the air conditioner exhaust hose for better air circulation in that area. I watered the plants. I went outside, and I threw out the garbage; and I drank the rest of the V8 juice slushy. I moved the small ivy plant in the Delft vase from the oak dining table to the small half oval table in front of the left living room closet. I mailed the Microsoft Sunset report at the central Greenwich Post Office. I then toured the www.cvs.com store on Greenwich Avenue. I then sat out by the Board of Education parking lot. I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com . I then went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue. From the clearance shelf, I bought two pairs of medium Dr. Scholl's shoe inserts for $4.99 each pair, buy one get one free of 12 ounce packages of Campari tomatoes for $3.99 both and a quart of Borden Realemon juice for $2.99 and .63 tax for $17.69 total. I then turned back around at McDonalds, and I returned to the Stop and Shop, and I bought 22 USA Forever 50 cent postage stamps for $11 total. I then returned home. I sat outside. For August 2019, I paid my http://optonline.net/ Digital Cable TV, Optimum Boost Plus, Optimum Voice, and my http://www.verizon.net/ telephone bill and my www.eversource.com electricity account. My current Optimum bill was $256 which is about $105 for high speed Cable Modem Internet, $35 for Optimum Voice long distance and about $116 for premium Cable TV. However that includes $20 in discounts for all three packages which covers the two cable boxes which are about $20 and taxes other fees.
