I drove downtown to the AT&T store on Greenwich Avenue. I gave visitors from Lexington, Mass. two hours of free parking time. The AT&T store told me that my new Samsung phone is not unlocked, so it will not work with my AT&T Go Phone Prepaid account. However, it is a Total Wireless network phone which is the same as www.tracfone.com which the Obama phone uses for https://www.safelinkwireless.com/ . I called up the Tracfone 1-800-867-7183 number, and they were able to transfer my Obama phone to the new Samsung phone and activate it with the new nano sim card that came with it. It now goes online with SafeLinkWireless, but it will take a few hours to a day for my minutes or time to be added to the account. I am installing the Android apps on it. It is very fast and responsive. I move the 64 GB microSD card from the Blu cell phone to the new Samsung cell phone. Thus the basic Obama phone can be upgraded to a better cell phone. However, I do not think the Obama phone plan will include data over the telephone wireless network. I also still have my new BLU phone with the AT&T Prepaid micro sim card and the H2O wireless regular size sim card that will work with data. However, it has local wireless though. I bought two 12 ounce bags of CVS hazelnut coffee for $4.50 each and two 5 packs Bic lighters for $7.69 each five pack and .98 tax for $26.36 total. I then went downtown to the Senior and the Arts Center. I chatted with a www.starbucks.com regular. I sat outside for a while chatting with another Starbucks regular. I then used the bathroom inside, and I said hello to another Starbucks regular. I then went by the Acme grocery store. I bought a 64 ounce Ocean Spray cranraspberry juice for $3.50, two 8 ounce Acme grated parmesan cheese for $3.29 each, two six packs of White Castle cheeseburgers for $4.69 each, four Bob Evans sausage and egg croissants for $1 each, a Del Monte pineapple for $1.48 and a dollar off White Castle coupon from a previous box for $23.94 total. You know the town of Greenwich, Connecticut pays $2 billion in Federal taxes and $1 billion in state taxes, yet for the new $25 million building in my neighborhood with 50 senior apartments, the Greenwich Housing Authority has to take out a 67 year loan. One would think the Big G government would give some of our money back instead of having to take out a loan. I chatted earlier with my social worker who was in the area, and for my 2018 Renters Rebate, I emailed my social worker copies of my 2017 electrical bill and my 2017 SSI Incomes statement. The primary reason I ordered the Samsung cell phone to be my primary cell phone with $480 on my AT&T micro Sim card with the Blu Cell Phone as the backup is that I was told by a neighbor who watches lots of television that the United States Congress is going to cut off funding for the free Obama cell phones, so I will need a new primary cell phone and a backup cell phone. When I was changing jets at the Copenhagen, Denmark airport during early April 1983 coming from Oslo, Norway on Scandinavian airlines when the Norwegians only paid me $100 for a month's work, I bought two $40 cartons of Prince Cigarettes, so I never left the airport there. However, we did get to fly back to J.F.K. airport on a brand new www.boeing.com 747. Maybe they need another new jet, if anyone knows anything about jets. I never did track down my Norwegian friend Rhone Dietrin from Lanzarote whose father was a pilot on S.A.S.; so I guess he is still living as a hermit out there on www.lanzarote.com . The famous movie with Raquel Welch, "A Million Years B.C." was filmed on Lanzarote the year before I was there in February 1972. On the Acer Laptop Notebook, when it installed the Windows 10 Update, it eliminated the Jide Remix Android dual boot option, so I reinstalled Jide, and all but 50 of 167 apps that I had backed up. The other ones would not install, so they have to be downloaded again from Google Play. I went outside three times. I also at 2 ounces of New York Texas Toast Zesty Italian croutons. I guess I now will tweak the Acer Android partition a bit. All in a night's work for Midnight Mike. This sort of looks like the Green Mountain Coffee vending machine that I saw in the Portland, Maine airport http://www.budgetvendingsupply.com/national-673-coffee-vending-machine.html . It had 8 ounce cups for $1.25 and 12 ounce cups for $1.75 and about 50 different types of coffee mixtures, and it made change of paper money and took credit cards. I drank a 8 ounce English Toffee latte for $1.25. It was really good. Maybe they are common in the world, but I had never seen one before. They could build antirooms at the front of coffee shops to sell coffee, when they are closed. CIO
06/25/18 Monday 9:20 P.M. I packed the car, and I left Kennebunkport, Maine at 7:15 A.M.. I stopped at the Wells Amtrak train station. I got on the Maine Turnpike South, and I stopped at the Massachusetts welcome center. I got on I-495 West, and I stopped at the Lowell rest area. I saw the best modern full size semi length horse trailer that I have ever seen from New Hampshire. I waved at a black horse looking out the door, and it winked back. I took on I-290 West. I got on the Massachusetts Turnpike, and I stopped at the Charlton rest area. I chatted with a relative. I bought $26 of self service premium Gulf gasoline for 7.245 gallons at $3.589 a gallon at odometer reading of 117753 miles for 186.5 miles driven since the previous fill up for 25.742 miles per gallon in highway traffic. I then got on I-84 West, and I stopped at the Connecticut welcome center. I then got on I-91 South, and then I got on the Wilbur Cross Parkway west, and I stopped at the North Haven rest area. I then stopped at the Fairfield rest area. I told a traveler from Florida, he should not be driving a U-Haul truck on the Merritt Parkway, since some of the bridges are lower and it is illegal to drive a truck on the parkway. I did not see the usual signs at the parkway entrance telling trucks not to drive on it. I got off at Greenwich at North Street, and I drove downtown. I stopped at www.cvs.com . I chatted with visitors from California across the street in the smokers' park. I picked up a prescription at CVS. I then stopped by the www.chase.com bank at Deerfield Place. I then stopped by the Shell Station at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $19.02 of self service V-Power premium gasoline for $3.999 a gallon for 4.755 gallons at odometer reading of 117884 miles for 131.1 miles driven since the previous fill up for 27.571 miles per gallon in highway traffic. I then returned home. I picked up the mail. I unloaded my car. I drank a 12 ounce glass of Fresca and a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar, and I sat outside for a while. I turned on the air conditioners and fans. I unpacked. I went outside again. I then ate 1.5 of the sausage egg muffins for breakfast with a glass of orange juice with vitamins and supplements and a cup of coffee with Sweet and Low and milk. I drove a relative to another relative's house. I showered, and I cleaned up. I drove around the local waterfront. I drove up to Kennebunk, Maine. I waited for a couple of hours for my relative, but my relative missed the plane. I bought a Green Mountain English cappuccino coffee for $1.25 from a very cleaver vending machine that sells about 30 different coffees. I paid $4 short term parking when I left the airport. I took the Maine Turnpike south to Biddeford, and I took U.S.1 south to www.cvs.com in Kennebunk. I bought a 2.75 ounce Edge shaving gel for $2.49 and .14 tax for $2.63 total. I then bought six Hormel Complete 10 ounce chicken alfredo for $3.69 each for $22.14 total. I then went by the Circle K Irvine and I bought $22 of premium gasoline for 6.649 gallons at $3.309 a gallon at odometer reading of 117548 miles for 183 miles driven since the last fill up for 27.523 miles per gallon in highway traffic. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot. I sat out for a while. I then chatted with two www.starbucks.com regulars. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I then sat outside some more. I moved the Lasko Tower fan from the bedroom window to just inside the bathroom on the left side blowing the cool air in the hallway coming from the bedroom out into the rest of the apartment. I put a new 20 inch Lasko square box fan in the bedroom window. I moved the Duracraft small fan from on top of the HP backup computer to on top of the KitchenAid microwave oven in the kitchen for cooler air in the kitchen. I put out a new small Honeywell fan on top of the HP backup computer to blow air at the primary computer work area. I now have eight fans and two air conditioners going in the apartment. I cleaned the two air conditioner filters. I had to move the small bookcase in the bathroom closer to the bathroom sink to install the Lasko tower fan. I move items from underneath the bathroom sink to have the bathroom trash can there. I moved the recycle paper trash can to the right side of the living room desk. I keep all of my fans and air conditions on low fan speed. I have to cool down the apartment at night to have it cooler during the hot afternoon hours. I put three new AA alkaline batteries in the Lysol soap dispense on the right side of the kitchen sink. I threw out the new fan boxes. I chatted with neighbors. I guess in the hot weather, I can go back to being "Boo Radley" late at night like in "To Kill a Mockingbird". It is 111 degrees Fahrenheit outside my apartment window over the black tar roof with four big windows facing the Western sun. However, in my apartment with the 8.000 BTU air conditioner in the living room and the 12,000 BTU air conditioner in the bedroom with the six fans going in the apartment, it is 76 degrees Fahrenheit in the living room. Alas, I know longer drink a lot of ice tea in the summer, because it is a diarrheic. CIO

I went to working with my red lights on to save on electricity. On the Microsoft Surface RT tablets, I can not get them to display their bios by the method of upward audio press and hold, start press and hold, release start press, release volume press. It is suppose to start getting warmer, so I guess I am prepared for it. I will be leaving for Kennebunkport, Maine this Thursday morning June 21, 2018 and returning Monday June 25, 2018. 06/16/18 Saturday 11:10 P.M. I went outside again. I have a new Lasko Elite Tower fan that I bought as a clearance item for 75% off at CVS on Greenwich Avenue a couple of years ago in the fall. I assembled it, and I put it on the bedroom window shelf in front of the air conditioner to blow cool air around the bedroom. I left its remote control at its base, and the instructions are on the right side of the Lindbergh radio on the mahogany chest. I moved the small Honeywell fan from that location to on top of the backup HP computer to blow cool air at the primary work computer chair. I then carried it back down Greenwich Avenue to my car at the Board of Education parking lot. I then returned home. I chatted with neighbors. 06/16/18 Saturday 2:10 A.M. I think I solved the Harvard chair problem. I moved the big old heavy expensive Harvard chair to underneath the small laptop computer desk to the left of the primary work computer. I then moved the small gold and white chair from the kitchen and the other small gold and white chair from behind the Ethan Allen recliner, and I put them in front of the two living room closets. They are very light and easily move for closet access. I move the small oak chair with cushion into the kitchen which is sturdy for a heavy person and easily moved for access to the lower left kitchen cabinet with the stored food. I will now go outside and contemplated the starry skies of the Western Hemisphere. There are tiny people in the area and Musical Chairs used to be a favorite childhood game in this area. It is supposed to go up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit this week, so possibly some frail people whom can not get used to the hotter weather might enjoy my cool and comfortable air conditioned environment. 06/16/18 Saturday 1:55 A.M. I threw out the garbage and the old periodical literature. I moved the purple upholstered swivel chair to a little bit to the right of the right living room closet, so that closet door easily opens for access. I moved the www.harvard.edu chair in front of the left living room closet. The Harvard chair is not too heavy for a man, so one can easily move it for access to the left living closet. I could move it back behind the Ethan Allen recliner behind the primary work computer, and put the lighter gold and white chair in front of the left living room closet. The left living room closet has mostly winter items and external hard drives and spare coffee, and I do not open it too much in the warmer months, but if one thinks it is more important I could move the Harvard chair to more easily open the left living closet. However, the Harvard chair is more comfortable for a heavier man which I might know as opposed to a tiny fragile petite type female or other smaller person who really does not need to dig through my winter clothes. However, once winter comes back around, I could rotate the chairs. I do not think moving the Harvard chair into the kitchen is an option, since the smaller chair there is easily moved to gain access to the lower left kitchen cabinet. However, a maybe a large man would want the secure quarters of the brick wall kitchen with television, so technically that could be done quickly in a security situation. I do a lot of things by "second sight", so my perspective does not always match up with those of casual visitors which I never seem to get any of anyway. The toils of www.un.org interior decoration during the four seasons, if you get my drift. Different perspectives for different folks. I will have to think about it. If they do not like my casual inexpensive hospitality, there are more expensive places in the area. However without any specific instructions, I do not know what to do. I never use the cooking pots and pans underneath the center kitchen cabinet too much anymore, since I mostly defrost in the microwave oven all of the time, so technically I could move the spare food to the lower center kitchen cabinet and put the cooking pots and pans underneath the far left lower cabinet where for now they would be out of sight and out of mind. Then the Harvard chair would easily work in the kitchen. CIO

I will now shut down the primary work computer. I will then go outside again. I will then go to bed. The good news is that my weight in the last month has gone down from 224.4 pounds to 216.4 pounds after breakfast before I get in the shower on my accurate Wal-Mart electronic scale. I do not think I eat that much, but working on the computers all of the time tends to be sedentary. Back in September 1989, when I bought my first www.apple.com 2E computer for a $100 at a tag sale on Round Hill Road from a J.P. Morgan banker from Belgium, I have kept busy on personal computers. I even have a local witness to that transaction. Obviously I have gone through a lot of computer hardware over the years, and I know something about less expensive hardware, but it all still takes a lot of time from experience that I have built up. Other things in the world have changed since then, which I really do not know too much about. I think that little house on Round Hill Road new Lake Avenue might have been replaced by a McMansion. I have not ventured up that way in a couple of years. I got $279 when I resold the Apple 2E, and I used that money to buy a Compaq 286. I then had a relative buy me a very used clone 386. Alas, although I know personal computer technology, I never made any money off of all my efforts, but I do have better communications with the greater world out there somewhere in the universe. 06/15/18 Friday 7:10 A.M. I chatted with a neighbor outside. Two of Bambi's older brothers were running around the field in back. I moved the www.harvard.edu chair from behind the primary work computer chair to the apartment entrance location, so one can take off and put on one's shoes. I moved the smaller gold and white chair with the white Damask cushion behind the primary work computer chair; so the Ethan Allen recliner can recliner fully if someone needs to take a nap. The apartment is all still very neat and not cluttered. Basically two couples could sit comfortably with their cook, maid, and chauffeur bodyguard and the full size bed is still available for two people to sleep in the bedroom. Historically, I have always set up the Scott family domains that I have maintained for influential corporate travelers whom like their privacy. I have been in western Europe and with a half billion people there, they are all mostly use to living in smaller quarters unlike the wild open spaces of America which still have plenty of room to grow. Think of it this way, it is like what they call in the Big Apple, a "Pied a Terre"; which means a "Foot on the Earth". Alas last I heard Billy Baldwin is pushing up tulips as is Fred Von Mierers unless they moved elsewhere for a quieter lifestyle away from the Big Apple. One never knows with celebrities, some times they drop from sight. Actually I am not an interior decorator, but I have quite a few family members who know something about it. I think the women keep me around for the heavy lifting and other technical details. From what I know for people whom travel on cruise ships, my apartment would be spacious. Also for those fortunate few whom were able to hang on to their first rent controlled apartments in Manhattan, I think they would agree with my viewpoint in terms of today's, modern technology. With my political influence in certain areas of the world, I could have my apartment designated as an Embassy which would protect it. CIO

It sounded like a Japanese robot. Possibly somebody dropped a cell phone in the woods. It scared me, so I sat at the bench on the north end of the building. Then when another neighbor came outside we chatted at the bench in front of the building. CIO
06/15/18 Friday 2:55 A.M. This past evening, I chatted with a local resident from Brazil who told me it is totally corrupt down there. I just now went outside, and I conferred with our full time night patrol "Bambi". I then decided to move the purple swivel chair to the right side of the left living room closet, so the right living room closet is free to open if one moves the small white and gold sitting chair at the apartment entrance. I moved the spare powdered milk to the floor of the right living room closet. I took out my summer straw hat from China and my Australian bush hat, and I hung them on the wire rack behind the apartment front door. I found my winter Polar King www.exxon.com that I forgot to wear this winter, and I also put it on the same wire rack in case any Rockefellers have returned to this area from their winter sourjourns down south of the Mason Dixon border. As a point of economic history, this public housing project is named after Congressman Stewart McKinney whose wife Lucy had a vast fortune from the Cunningham family who were involved with founding Standard Oil with John D. Rockefeller who also had other partners people seem to have forgotten. I also attended his funeral with the entire United States Congress in Southport, Connecticut along with then President Reagan. I could put the www.harvard.edu chair back in the kitchen, but it is too heavy to move to get at the stored foot in the lower left cabinet, and it also interferes with opening the www.ge.com kitchen stove, which I never use; because I have a Farberware convection oven on top of the Westinghouse refrigerator. Also since I spent two years all together on and off washing dishes and scrubbing pots out on www.nantucket.net where there are other Harvard people, and one could stretch the truth, and say I have a Masters Degree from Harvard in the Culinary Arts. I did a bit of food preparation too such as peeling onions and plucking green beans, and I could cook a fluffy three egg cottage cheese omelet on a gas stove with an aluminum fry pan crepe style flipping it half way through. Two to four hours at lunch time and twelve hours at dinner time six to seven days a week with jogging out to the beach on the south shore for a dip in between. About 250 meals a night as I recall. Alas those days are long since gone, and I will stick with my home computer environment which is less tedious. So there. CIO

I brought up a discarded purple upholstered swivel chair with Fleur Des Lis pattern up to my apartment, and I placed it at the apartment entrance, so one can remove one's shoes before entering the apartment and since it swivels, it also can face the main dining area or the large screen television. It works, and it is not too large. I moved the small white and gold chair with the white Damask pillow cushion to in front of the left living room closet. Either chair can be easily moved since they are light weight for opening up the two living room closets. Thus it is a more comfortable Pied a Terre, but nobody ever visits, because they think Greenwich, Connecticut which is true is too expensive. CIO

The postal machine would not tell me how much for book rate, but it said the book package weight 3.6 pounds. I then returned home, and I looked up the Media Mail rate for 3.6 pounds, and it is $4.19. I then went to the Valley Road Post Office, and the postal machine said it was 3.69 pounds, so it does not sell book rate, I ordered the regular postal rate with tracking for $17.80, but I told the machine I already add $12.80 on the package, so it sold me a $5 postage with tracking and the address label that I stuck on the package, so hopefully it will go through. I have the mailing label with address labeled "Media Mail". Hopefully the United States Postal Computer will not reject it. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot. I ate the Hostess jumbo blueberry muffin at the Veterans monument across the street from the Senior and the Arts center. I chatted with a www.starbucks.com regular. I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue. I sat out at various locations. I bought an Ace's High scratch card at Zyn Stationary for a dollar, and I lost. I chatted with two Manhattan people from East 47th Street. They told me the owner of the Grand restaurant undergoing remodeling has a place in Manhattan. They have a sign that the three bedroom penthouse in that new building is $14,000 a month with a roof garden. I found a key on an orange and black tie rope on the bench in front of Le Petit Cotian Belgium bakery. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I chatted with a Starbucks regular. I left the key at the Greenwich Police station. It looked like it might be an old www.ford.com copy of an ignition key. I toured CVS again, and I used the bathroom there. I sat out some more after my walk. I went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought buy one get one free of Thomas' English muffins for $4.49 all with an extra dollar off with my Stop and Shop internet coupon, two 16 ounce Stop and Shop balsamic dressing for $1.99 each, and three bananas for .49 a pound for .79 for $8.26 total. I then returned home. I used my little folding cart to bring up my purchases. I put it back in the rear of my Volvo wagon. I then finished my walk. I sat out for a while. I then went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a package of Foxy Romaine hearts of lettuce for $2.99 and a 5 ounce package of Cardini Caesar croutons for $1.50 for $4.49 total. I then figured out how to use the lottery scratch card machine. I put my Connecticut driver's license in it to prove that I am over 18 years old with the bar code up, and then I put in a dollar bill in the money slot, and I bought an Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and as usual I lost. I chatted with a relative. I chatted with a www.starbucks.com regular. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I chatted with the Starbucks regular some more. I then went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue. I bought two 5 ounce New York Texas Toast cheese and garlic croutons for $1.59 each, a Del Monte pineapple for $2.50, four packages of reduced cherry tomatoes for $1.22, $1.07, $1.19, and $1.16 for $9.77 total. I then returned home. I put away my purchases. The new Blu cell phone installed 124 apps automatically from my Remix backup at the Android play store. I moved the Buckingham Palace model from the right side of the oak dining table to the right side of the Queen Anne chair in front of the apartment windows. I put away my L.L. Bean boots at the apartment entrance for the summer in the bedroom door shoe rack, and I put out an old Timberland pair of shoes for going outside on quick trips. I went outside again. I ate a 16 ounce bowl of Campbell's Mexican tortilla soup with 2 ounces of Fresh Gourmet Texas toast with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca. CIO
