02/23/19 Saturday 10:15 P.M. After the last note, I went by the www.chase.com bank ATM machine at Deerfield Place. I then drove down the entire length of Greenwich Avenue, and I toured Steamboat Road in the daytime. The new pier is still under construction, but the pier part looks like it might be done. They are also putting in granite curb stones down there. I then drove over to Grass Island, I sat out by the waterfront enjoying the view. There is not much nautical activity this time of year. I then drove through Bruce Park and north on Indian Field Road and west on East Putnam Avenue to Whole Foods. I toured Whole Foods which was quite busy, and I bought a Everything bagel for a dollar, and I sat out in front; and I ate it. I then chatted about dogs with the pet store next door to Whole Foods. I then drove over to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I sat out across the street. I toured the store twice, and I used the bathroom there. I chatted with a relative while sitting across the street. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot. I sat out for a while. I got a www.starbucks.com small coffee with Splenda sweetener and half and half for $2.07 with my Starbucks card. I sat out in front of the Senior and the Arts Center chatting a Starbucks regular. I then drove the Starbucks regular to CVS on Greenwich Avenue to get three 12 packs of Diet www.coke.com . I then drove the Starbucks regular back home, and I used my little folding cart to deliver the Diet Coke. I then sat out for a while longer at the Board of Education parking lot. A medium size black and white skunk crossed the street going from the Senior and the Arts Center towards the Board of Education. I then used the bathroom at Starbucks. I then walked the lower Greenwich Avenue area and the train station area. I bought a Ace's High scratch card for a dollar at Zen Stationary, and I lost. I sat out at various locations. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought buy one six pack get two six packs free of Thomas's English muffins for $4.49 all, a six inch cyclamen for $9.99 that was suppose to be half price for $4.99, so they will have to give me the difference tomorrow. two 17 ounce Quaker Medley cereal for $3 each, two 12.6 ounce extra crispy Sunshine Cheez-its for $1.88 and $3 and reduced produce cheery tomatoes for $1.13 and .63 tax for $27.12 total. I then returned home. I sat outside briefly. I brought up my groceries, and I put them away. I put the new plant on the Lazy Susan on the dining table, and I moved the white poinsettia to the far right living room window. I filed this report. I will now go outside again. CIO

02/22/19 Friday 2:35 P.M. I took the long HDMI cable off the primary work computer that lead to the 49 inch Insignia television. I took the second HDMI splitter off the bedroom cable box, so at the moment the Vizio television does not have an HDMI connection. I connected that HDMI splitter to the living room cable box setup along with part of the long HDMI cable, and I connected it to the new 32 inch Insignia television in the bathroom. It now has full picture screen and much clearer sound. I walked the lower Greenwich Avenue area. I sat out at various locations. At Zyn stationary, I bought an Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and I lost. I sat out for a long time in front of the Senior and the Arts Center. I then drove up to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I sat out in the park across the street. I chatted with a few people going to the CFCF coffee shop across from CVS. At CVS, I bought three 16 ounce Post extra fruit flakes for $2.99 each for $8.97 total. I then sat out across the street, and I chatted with a www.cadillac.com livery driver. I then went back into CVS, and I used the bathroom. I bought three 12 packs of 12 ounce www.coke.com Zero Sugar for $13 all and $1.80 deposit .83 tax for $15.63 total. I then sat out across the street some more on a very slow day. I used my little folding cart to bring up the soda. I then put away my groceries. I put six of the ham steaks in the freezer. I figure they last about a month refrigerated. It tends to be more coyote free downtown, but they do show up there at night too and Bruce Park where President Trump and Ray Dalio also lived and live. They are fairly common in this area. When I used to visit a friend's former house in Wilton, Connecticut next to Knapp tree, there used to be six to eight coyotes in the back yard every evening. CIO

02/22/19 Friday 4:25 A.M. I took the Westinghouse television out of the bathroom, and I stored it underneath the left side of the bed. Although it has a line in it, it has a VGA connection which is handy for a backup monitor. I tested the new Ingignia television, and it does work off a VGA HDMI adapter. I set it up in the bathroom connected to the coaxial cable from the living room. It is clear as a bell, but with coaxial its screen image is only about two thirds of the entire screen. I stored its box underneath the right side of the bed. I left its remote control on the top of the book case to the right side of the toilet. I will now go outside again. CIO

If one were still looking for the old location of the "Ninth Circle" steak house on West 9th Street just west of Greenwich Street in Greenwich Village, it was right across the street from an old single engine fire house. It had about eight steps going up to its main level in a four story building. With its back patio, it would be a good place for cigarette smokers in Greenwich Village. However, I have been in that area in over twenty years, so it probably has all changed. A lot of the New York University students in the old days had part time jobs at the American Express Credit card clearing system at Astor Place, so the NYU students were able to track the American Express clients in their world wide activities for what ever that might be worth. There are a few people from up North down south. The Spotswood family from Vermont built the http://www.casamarinaresort.com/ in Key West in the 1920s. That was when Henry Flagler's railroad ran down there before the Hurricane of 1938. In other words Henry Flagler built the Florida East Coast Railroad with his money from being one of John D. Rockefeller's original partners, and at every major stop, he built a hotel and an Episcopal Church for Southern bound travelers. It one looks at www.amtrak.com , it is 34 hours from Stamford, Connecticut to Miami, Florida at cost starting at $206 and more for a private room. Then in Miami, one could rent a car and drive the Florida Keys Highway to see what so many other people have discovered. At the www.cbs.com hangout in Greenwich Village, I used to have a few quarters for the Jute box to play the Beach Boys and Elvis and the Beatles to tune out the other musac. It was a quarter a tune, and the bartender "Stormy" was from Vermont, and they sold Schiltz beer from Milwaukee instead of Bud which was also available, and once during a blizzard in Manhattan, I saw both Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Mao Tse Tung stuck in the bar while they were stranded traveling elsewhere. The bar was called the "Ninth Circle" like in Dante and was one of the oldest steak houses in Manhattan, and they even had a popular pool table in the basement for 50 cents a game which was quite expensive then. There were a lot of www.nyu.edu students hanging out there. I remember one curious student named Sydney who was from Australia. Yeh, Kevin Bacon was also there all of the time. I even once saw Andy Warhol there. I also once saw the Walton family there including Grandpa Walton. I found out tonight at the Acme grocery store, one can get an eight quart box of powdered milk for $7 which works out to about $.875 a quart, where the individual package 10 quart box at the Stop and Shop is $12.49 or about $1.25 a quart. However, I do not know how one would store the opened package of Acme powdered milk, so bugs do not get in it. I guess one could get a big resealable bag to put it in. CIO

I then went by the Central Greenwich, Connecticut 06830 post office, and I had a hard time figuring out the postal machine. I bought a Priority Mail postage sticker less $4 for $7.95, and I labeled box "Media Mail". I should have just bought postage for $4, but I took $4 off the $11.95 charge, when I thought it was a $4 charge. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot. There is a new bench on the north side of the veterans' monument, and the one on the south side is out for repairs. I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com . I walked the lower Greenwich Avenue area. I sat out at various locations. I then went by the ATM machine at the www.chase.com bank at Deerfield Place. I then went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue. I bought two www.kraft.com 15 ounce Balsamic vinaigrette dressing and three Kraft low fat Italian dressing for $1.88 each less $5 off more for buy $10, two 7 ounce Stop and Shop shredded six Italian cheese for $2 each, two 13.1 ounce Boston Market chicken parmesan dinners for $2.50 each, a 59 ounce Tropicana 50% less sugar orange juice for $2.50, a Foxy three hearts of Romaine lettuce for $2.99, a reduced produce package of cherry tomatoes for $1.06, a banana for .59 a pound for .22 for $20.17 total. I then returned home. I sat outside briefly. I used my little cart to bring up the bottle water. I then put the cart back in the car, and I brought up the other groceries. I put away the groceries. I then filed this report. I used one of larger microwave cooking dishes with lid, since I also added a 8 ounce Smithfield Ham steak diced into half inch cubes on the second cycle which I did for six minutes instead of five minutes. I ate one third of it in a soup bowl with grated parmesan and Romano cheese on it along with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca. I will now go outside again. CIO

02/19/19 Tuesday 1:50 A.M. I hooked up the Samsung 43 inch television in the bedroom, where the ONN television was connected on the side board. I have it connected to all the same devices as before. Thus the living room has two almost new big screen televisions, and the bedroom has two big screen televisions that I fixed. I guess I can still put the new 32 inch Insignia television in the bathroom, where the Westinghouse there has lines in it. I will now go outside again. We have come a long way in Midnight television repair since the old days in Greenwich Village, when I would hang out next to a 24 hour television repair shop. Well in the old days, when I was briefly at www.cbsnews.com during Watergate, I found out where a lot of the CBS employees hung out after work. I never did figure out what Captain Kangeroo looked like without his makeup though, but I did recognize Mr. Green Jeans in his green denim. I learned the Proctor and Gamble actually owned all of the Soap Operas that the other networks broadcast, and when there were only three national networks and three local networks, an advertising company called Doyle Dane and Bernbach was paying a million dollars a minute to advertise www.polaroid.com on the major networks; so there was a bit of money in broadcasting the in the old days. I also fixed my cable connection besides the HDMI connection by twisting the short coaxial cable a little bit where it comes off the living room cable box. CIO
02/19/19 Tuesday 12:50 A.M. VGA does work on the Samsung television. I tested it with the Microsoft Surface RT VGA adapter. However, the Samsung television is 12 years old and has three vertical lines on the left side, so I disconnected it from the living room setup, and I place it by the bedroom desk, until what I figure out what to do with it. I set up the 43 inch ONN television from the bedroom in the Samsung television's place in the living room with the Boston Acoustics sound bar and the wireless headset that works if one mutes the television and turns off the Boston Acoustic sound bar with the power strip, it is connected to. I will set up the new 32 inch Invicta television in the bedroom in the ONN television's place. I went outside. I will now go outside again and drink a 10 ounce warm home made vanilla Mocha Frappucinno coffee. CIO

I told him about the Standard and Poors Poor House on Cape Cod in Bourne County that is on the waterfront and is run as a retreat for the Episcopal Archdiocese of Cambridge, Massachusetts. One can get admitted there by the minister of the Episcopal Church in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. They used to have lots of surplus government food there. However, it is run like a Commune, and everyone has to agree on everything that is done there by group vote. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I then sat outside some more. I bought two 10 packs of Eggs frozen blueberry waffles for $5 all. I went outside again. I got the blue plastic bucket out of the rear of the Volvo wagon, and I have it set up behind the Ethan Allen recliner to drain the LG upright air conditioner drain hose. I then chatted with a relative. I boiled some more hot water in the microwave, and I soaked the LG air conditioner outside exhaust plastic flange in hot water, and I was able to make it more flexible, so the exhaust hose fit over it, and I secured it with a six inch hose clamp. I secured the outside exhaust duct to the Plexiglas with duct tape. Thus the LG upright air conditioner is all set to go once I secure the Plexiglas panel to the small window opening with duct tape, once it gets hot in this part of the world around the first of May. Possibly I should also wrap the six inch clamp connection with duct tape, but I will think about it, when I install the Plexiglas panel. Quite frankly Queen Victoria's racing colors were the three primary color of red, yellow, and blue. Thus if one is cheap and takes red and white one has pink and yellow and blue makes green. Also a local told me, when King Phillip of France was kicked out and lived with Queen Victoria, he brought along a hundred railroad cars of stuff that he needed, before he started wandering the world. I then went by the Greenwich Hardware store, and I bought a roll of Gorilla tape, two door knobs, a one inch hose clamp and two screws for $12.39 total. Their receipt does not itemize the items. I then sat out across the street observing a usual slow Tuesday night. A few people were dining lower Greenwich Avenue for whatever it was worth. I then went by the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $10 of self service V-Power premium gasoline for $3.399 a gallon for 2.942 gallons at odometer reading of 118793 miles for 38.3 miles driving since Thursday January 24, 2019 for 13.019 miles per gallon in local traffic. The air conditioner duct hose fits fines on the LG air conditioner side, but it is a little tight on the window outlet adapter, so I will probably have to hold it on with duct tape. I used a drill with a quarter inch bit, and I drill holes around a four inch circle and then sideways in a piece of Plexiglass, so the window adapter will fit in the Plexiglass, and I have it set to tape on to the window opening, when I set up the LG air conditioner. 02/01/19 Friday 2:55 A.M. I paid my http://optonline.net/ Digital Cable TV, Optimum Boost Plus, Optimum Voice, and my http://www.verizon.net/ bill and my www.eversource.com electricity account. My current Optimum bill was $230 which is about $85 for high speed Cable Modem Internet, $35 for Optimum Voice long distance and about $110 for premium Cable TV. However that includes $50 in discounts for all three packages which covers the two cable boxes which are about $12 and taxes other fees. I also made a monthly payment on my apartment renters insurance. I printed out a copy of my Microsoft Sunset Income versus Spending report for January 2019, and I have one copy ready to mail with a 50 cent forever stamp to an interested relative which I will mail downstairs now.
